Harswell is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Everingham, in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) west of Market Weighton town centre, 5 miles (8 km) south of Pocklington town centre, and 1 mile (1.6 km) west of the A614 road. In 1931 the parish had a population of 78. In 1823 Harswell was a village and civil parish in the Wapentake of Harthill. Population at the time was 78, with occupations that included five farmers, and a carrier who operated between the village and Market Weighton once a week. On 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Everingham. The village church is dedicated to St Peter. There has been a church in Harswell from the late 12th century and the building that was present in 1823 was described by Baines as "a small ancient structure". It was rebuilt in 1870-1871 and parish records, dating back to 1653, are held by the Borthwick Institute in York. Harswell was served by Everingham railway station on the Selby to Driffield Line between 1853 and 1954. The station house is now a Grade II listed building.

Holme Hall is a grade II* listed 18th-century country house in Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was then a Sue Ryder Care Home until its closure in February 2018. The house was built c. 1720–30 to designs of William Wakefield for Lord Langdale, with a chapel added in 1766 by John Carr. It is constructed in two storeys of rendered brick with tile and Westmorland slate roofs, with a 5-bay frontage.

The civil parish is formed by the village of Holme-on-Spalding-Moor and the hamlets of Bursea, Hasholme, Tollingham and Welhambridge. According to the 2011 UK Census, Holme-on-Spalding-Moor parish had a population of 3,172, an increase on the 2001 UK Census figure of 2,948.

The Chapel of St. Mary the Virgin and St. Everilda, in the village of Everingham in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, is an impressive Italianate-style Roman Catholic chapel within the Diocese of Middlesbrough. The chapel is owned by the Guest family and is noteworthy as a Grade I listed building, with a fine organ.

It lies to the south of the A1079 road. In 1931 the parish had a population of 28. Thorpe le Street was formerly a township in the parish of Nun-Burn-holme, in 1866 Thorpe le Street became a civil parish on 1 April 1935 the parish was abolished and merged with Hayton. The Roman Road known as Cade's Road is thought likely to have passed through it, which would explain "-le-Street".

It is situated approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) south-east of the village of Holme-on-Spalding-Moor and 7 miles (11 km) north-east of the market town of Howden. It lies to the west of the Market Weighton Canal. It forms part of the civil parish of Holme-on-Spalding-Moor.

According to the 2011 UK census, it had a population of 304, a decrease on the 2001 UK census figure of 320, and covers an area of 1,662.03 hectares (4,107.0 acres).

RAF Holme-on-Spalding Moor, or more simply RAF Holme is a former Royal Air Force station located in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The site was built during the Second World War, it was used during the war by the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a bomber station, and after the war as a transport airfield and bomb store before being "mothballed". In the 1950s, the RAF used the station as a training camp before it was transferred to the United States Air Force (USAF) as a reserve station during the Cold War. After USAF use, it became a testing airfield for Blackburn Aircraft and its successor British Aerospace until 1983, when the airfield was closed. Many of the airfield buildings survive as an industrial estate, but most of the runways have been demolished.

Holme Moor railway station was a station on the Selby to Driffield Line in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England serving the village of Holme-on-Spalding-Moor. It opened as Holme (Yorks) on 1 August 1848 and was renamed Holme Moor on 1 July 1923. It closed on 20 September 1954.

It is situated approximately 5 miles (8 km) southeast of the market town of Pocklington and 2 miles (3.2 km) northwest of the market town of Market Weighton. According to the 2011 UK census, Shiptonthorpe parish had a population of 503, an increase on the 2001 UK census figure of 419. It has a petrol station, two churches, a shop, and a Renault main dealer. The Parish Church of All Saints is a Grade I listed building. On the outskirts, there is a garden centre called Langlands, and a McDonald's (previously a Little Chef) which opened in 2014. It formerly had two pubs. The A1079 road runs through it. Plans for a bypass, put forward in the 1989 Roads for Prosperity white paper, but were later dropped. From 1847 to 1965, Shiptonthorpe was served by Londesborough railway station on the York to Beverley Line.

Londesborough Park railway station was a short-lived private station on the York to Beverley Line at Londesborough in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was created as a private station for George Hudson of Londesborough Hall. It closed in January 1867.

The station was originally named Shipton & Londesborough, was renamed to Shipton in April 1864 and became Londesborough in January 1867. It closed after the last train ran on 27 November 1965.
