Palmaz Vineyards is a Californian winery in the Napa Valley, primarily dedicated to Cabernet Sauvignon production. The estate is located on what was once the Cedar Knoll Vineyard Company, a pre prohibition winery, founded in 1881 by Henry Hagen, one of the pioneers of wine production in the Napa Valley. After prohibition the winery fell into a dilapidated state and the winery was abandoned. The Hagen House and the vineyards have since been restored after they were bought by Amalia and Julio Palmaz in 1997. The family operated winery and vineyards cultivate some 55 acres using sustainable farming practices, devote to Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Riesling, Muscat along with smaller plantings of Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot.Palmaz Vineyards is noted for having the largest wine cave in the Napa Valley, totaling 100,000 square feet. Palmaz Vineyards' winemaking and aging takes place within the living rock of Mount George, in a multi-leveled series of tunnels and domes. The height of the wine cave is equivalent to an 18-storey building, providing the vertical range needed for true gravity-flow winemaking. Thus, the wine is not subjected to the violent agitation of pumping, which can change the wine's intra-molecular structure. This gentle treatment allows finer nuances of flavor to develop naturally. Vichy Springs is situated south of the Silverado Country Club and Milliken Creek on Montecello Road a few miles northeast of Napa. Vichy Springs and most of the surrounding lands had once been part of the Mexican land grant Rancho Yajome. Wild Horse Valley is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) that straddles between Napa and Solano Counties, California and partly resides within the larger Napa Valley AVA. The wine appellation was established as the nation's 102nd, the state's 58th, and both counties' fifth AVA on November 30, 1988 by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Treasury after reviewing the petition submitted by John Newmeyer of Napa and four other interested persons proposing the viticultural area named "Wild Horse Valley." The appellation encompasses a valley landform near the city of Napa that extends approximately five-and-a-third-mile (9 km) long and one-and-two-thirds-mile (3 km) across at its widest point. The petition states Wild Horse Valley's total acreage is 3,300 acres (5 sq mi) with 73 acres (30 ha) of cultivation in the viticultural area. Its southerly location results in more hours of sunshine than other locations in Napa Valley and the adjacent Solano County Green Valley. The proximity to San Pablo Bay results in a cooler climate, making Wild Horse Valley attractive for the cultivation of grapes like Pinot noir. The Wild Horse Valley viticultural area is within the North Coast viticultural area. Wild Horse Valley partially overlaps the Napa Valley and Solano County Green Valley viticultural areas. The Suisun Valley viticultural area is approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) east of the Wild Horse Valley separated only by the Solano County Green Valley.

Rancho Tulucay was a 8,866-acre (35.88 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Napa County, California given in 1841 by Governor pro tem Manuel Jimeno to Cayetano Juarez. The Tulucay name originates with the names Tulkays and Ulucas that were applied to the inhabitants of Tuluka, a Patwin village in the area. The grant was on the east side of the Napa River, between Soscol Creek on the south, and Sarco Creek on the north.

Milliken Creek is an 11.9-mile-long (19.2 km) stream in Napa County, California, that is a tributary to the Napa River. There are approximately 7,300 acres (3,000 ha) in this watershed, of which 90 acres (36 ha) are developed as vineyards. Milliken Creek rises on the western slopes of the east side of the Napa Valley and flows through the Silverado Country Club property. Much of this watershed property had once been part of the Mexican land grant Rancho Yajome, which had been granted to General Mariano G. Vallejo. Most of this watershed was wilderness area to at least 1869, and thereafter the lower watershed was begun to be developed as pasture and grazing agricultural uses. In a 1989 stream survey by Earth Metrics, the steelhead fishery was found to be robust up to and including the Silverado Country Club.

The First Street Bridge in Napa, California carries First Street over the Napa River. It was built in 1914 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.It is a reinforced concrete bridge with three spans. Its total length is 155 feet (47 m); the center span is 50 feet (15 m) and the two side spans are each 35 feet (11 m). The Oxbow School is a private single semester arts school for high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, and gap year students located in Napa, California, sitting near an oxbow of the Napa River. High school and gap year students can choose to attend in either the fall or spring semester with visual arts and academic focus. Oxbow also offers a 6-week Summer Art Institute for the same grade levels. BottleRock Napa Valley is an annual music festival held at the Napa Valley Expo in Napa, California. The initial BottleRock was a five-day event that took place May 8–12, 2013. The event featured three stages with 60 bands, including Jackson Browne, Train, The Black Crowes, Zac Brown Band, The Shins, Primus, The Avett Brothers, Joan Jett, Cake, Jane's Addiction, The Flaming Lips, Kings of Leon, The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, The Iron Heart, Ben Harper, Violent Femmes, Café Tacvba, Rodrigo y Gabriela and Charlie Musselwhite. Furthur had been scheduled, but withdrew from the lineup due to an injury and health issues suffered by Bob Weir. It was the Napa Valley's first large-scale music festival. Forty local wineries were featured at the festival. Although the festival attracted over 120,000 attendees and generated mostly positive reviews, several vendors and workers claim to have been left unpaid by organizers following the event. Estimates of well over $2.5 million for unpaid wages and services are being claimed by creditors including the City of Napa, venue provider Napa Valley Expo, a variety of security, catering and transportation companies, a local of International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and individuals. To resolve financial woes, subsequent festival proceeds were used to partially pay off debts.
