Palacio de Velázquez, or Velázquez Palace (sometimes referred to as Palacio de Exposiciones) is an exhibition hall located in Buen Retiro Park, Madrid, Spain. Originally known as the Palacio de la Minería, it was built in 1881-3 for the Exposición Nacional de Minería by architect Ricardo Velázquez Bosco (and named after him), engineer Alberto Palacio, and ceramist Daniel Zuloaga. It functions as an arts and crafts gallery and is listed as a Bien de Interés Cultural. The building's interior is viewable on Google Street View and it is part of the Google Art Project.

The Buen Retiro Park (Spanish: Parque del Buen Retiro, literally "Park of the Pleasant Retreat"), Retiro Park or simply El Retiro is one of the largest parks of the city of Madrid, Spain. The park belonged to the Spanish Monarchy until the late 19th century, when it became a public park. In 2021, Buen Retiro Park became part of a combined UNESCO World Heritage Site with Paseo del Prado.

Buen Retiro Palace (Spanish: Palacio del Buen Retiro) in Madrid was a large palace complex designed by the architect Alonso Carbonell (c. 1590–1660) and built on the orders of Philip IV of Spain as a secondary residence and place of recreation (hence its name). It was built in what was then the eastern limits of the city of Madrid. Today, what little remains of its buildings and gardens forms the Retiro Park.

The Palacio de Cristal ("Glass Palace") is a conservatory located in Madrid's Buen Retiro Park. The Palacio de Cristal, in the shape of a Greek cross, is made almost entirely of glass set in an iron framework on a brick base, which is decorated with ceramics. Its cupola makes the structure over 22 metres high. When it was erected, glass and iron construction on a large scale was already to be seen in Madrid at Delicias station (1880), the work of a French architect; however, the curved architecture of the Palacio de Cristal is more comparable to the techniques pioneered by the British architects Joseph Paxton (who was responsible for London's Crystal Palace) and Decimus Burton (who was responsible for the Palm House at Kew Gardens). The Palacio de Cristal was, alongside the Pabellón Central, one of the main venues of the 1887 Philippines Exposition.The cast-iron frame was manufactured in Bilbao. The structure was designed in a way that would allow it to be re-erected on another site (as happened to the equivalent building in London). However, the building has remained on the original site, next to a lake, and has been restored to its original appearance. It is no longer used as a greenhouse, and is currently used for art exhibits.

The Ermita de San Pelayo y San Isidoro (English: Hermitage of Saint Pelagius and Saint Isidore) is a ruined Romanesque church, originally in the city of Ávila, Spain. It was built outside the city walls, in front to the Gate of Malaventura in the south side of the Walls. In Ávila, there remains an area known as the Atrium of San Isidro. After the Spanish confiscation, it was moved to Madrid, where it had different locations. Its remains finally found accommodation in the Buen Retiro Park in central Madrid.

The Aguirre Schools (Spanish: Escuelas Aguirre) is a notable Neo-Mudéjar style building in Madrid Spain. Located at Calle de Alcalá, 62, it is named after Lucas Aguirre, a Spanish philanthropist who left funds for the construction of schools. As the building has housed the Casa Árabe e Instituto Internacional de Estudios Árabes y del Mundo Musulmán since 2006, it is also currently known as the Casa Árabe ("Arabic House"). This Neo-Mudéjar style building was designed by Emilio Rodríguez Ayuso and built from 1881-1886. The same architect later added an enclosure (1887) and garden (1896–98). Subsequently architect Luis Bellido González performed alterations in 1908–1909 and 1929, with a third set of alterations and basement extension made by Antonio Flórez Urdapilleta and Bernardo Giner de los Ríos in 1932–1933.

Saint Manuel and Saint Benedict (Spanish: San Manuel y San Benito) is a Catholic church located in Madrid, Spain. The building, which was designed by Fernando Arbós y Tremanti, was built at the beginning of the twentieth century. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1982.
