Soleilmont metro station

The Coal mine du Gouffre (No. 10) is the main and last colliery company of Charbonnages du Gouffre. It is located at Châtelet Belgium, Walloon Region in the province of Hainaut. It was operated from 1916 to 1969. The concrete building is built in 1934. After closure, the site was converted into a zoo between 1979 and 1982 before becoming a site vehicle dismantling.

Sart-Culpart is a Charleroi Metro station located in Gilly, Belgium (part of the Charleroi municipality), opened on 27 February 2012 as part of the Soleilmont extension of the Gilly branch of the Charleroi Pre-metro. The station is built at ground level and features a two lateral platforms. The station is located in TEC Charleroi fare zone 2. The original Sart-Culpart station structure was built in the 1980s as an underground station slightly to the east of the current location, but has never been put into service since then. The unfinished station has been vandalized through the years and it was rebuilt in a more urbanized and secure location as part of the 2009-2011 extension of the Gilly branch of the network.The station is located in a residential area of Gilly (the Sart-Culpart neighbourhood). There is no train or bus interchange at this station.

Soleilmont Abbey (French: Abbaye Notre-Dame de Soleilmont) is an abbey of Trappistine nuns (O.C.S.O., or Order of Cistercians of the Strict Obervance) situated in the forest and commune of Fleurus, at Gilly near Charleroi, Belgium, founded, according to tradition, in the 11th century, which became Cistercian in 1237. The nuns were expelled as a consequence of the French Revolution in 1796, but soon re-established themselves in 1802. The community became Bernardine in 1837, and Trappist in 1919.

Gilly station was opened on 28 August 1992, although it had been built in the eighties. It was refurbished in 2008 and reopened in its current version on 23 April 2008. One of the walls is adorned with coat of arms of other Gilly's in Europe, while the opposite wall features the lyrics of La p'tite gayole, a song in Walloon language written by Belgian artist Oscar Sabeau. While trams drive on the right on most of the Charleroi Pre-metro network, they drive on the left on the Gilly line.

As of January 1, 2018, Châtelet had a total population of 36,101. The total area of the municipality is 27.03 km2 which gives a population density of 1,336 inhabitants per km2. The municipality consists of the following districts: Bouffioulx, Châtelet, and Châtelineau. Châtelet was a long established independent city prior to its fusion with the other entities.

Samaritaine is an underground station featuring a central platform, with street access at both ends. While trams drive on the right on most of the Charleroi Pre-metro network, they drive on the left on the Gilly line, of which Samaritaine is part. The change of side occurs between Waterloo and Samaritaine.
