Břeclav (Czech pronunciation: [ˈbr̝ɛtslaf]; German: Lundenburg) is a town in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 25,000 inhabitants.

Poštorná is a municipal district located in the town of Břeclav, South Moravia, Czech Republic. Former football club SK Tatran Poštorná was based in the district.

Břeclav railway station (Czech: Železniční stanice Břeclav) is an important international railway junction in the Czech Republic, located in the town of Břeclav in South Moravia, close to the borders with Austria and Slovakia. The station opened 6 June 1839 as Lundenburger Bahnhof (Lundenburg is the German exonym for Břeclav) on the North railway, the first locomotive-hauled railway in Austria-Hungary. After the breakup of Austria-Hungary it became a border crossing checkpoint between Austria and Czechoslovakia. Since the Czech Republic joined the Schengen area, border checks are no longer in operation. Břeclav is the first stop across the Czech border from Austria, the next station across on Austrian territory being Bernhardsthal station. It is the second station on Czech territory after crossing the border from Slovakia after Lanžhot.

Ladná (until 1950 Lanštorf; German: Rampersdorf) is a municipality and village in Břeclav District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,300 inhabitants. Ladná lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north of Břeclav, 48 km (30 mi) south-east of Brno, and 228 km (142 mi) south-east of Prague.

Marika Gombitová (born September 12, 1956, in Turany nad Ondavou, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak singer-songwriter who began her career as a female vocalist in the band Modus in the late 1970s. Besides gaining fame for her subsequent solo career, she also became known as the victim of a single-vehicle collision on December 1, 1980, alleged to have been caused by reckless driving by Andrea B. Although she survived, Gombitová sustained irreparable injuries to her backbone and spinal cord and, as a result, is paralyzed from the 7th vertebral notch downwards, and was hence reliant on a wheelchair. After a six-month recovery, the physically disabled artist returned to the spotlight, achieving new top rankings on the music charts and even touring again. Few details of the Gombitová's car crash and its subsequent investigation have been made public and, therefore, the circumstances of the issue remain the subject of controversy.

Bernhardsthal is a town in the district of Mistelbach in the Austrian state of Lower Austria. The municipality consists the three villages (population): Bernhardsthal (819) Katzelsdorf (370) Reintal (410)

Lake Bernhardsthal (also: Bernhardsthaler Teich) is located in Bernhardsthal, the very north east corner of Lower Austria near the border with the Czech Republic. The lake has a size of approximately 0.5 km² and is free for bathing, fishing or boating. Its clear, jade water is especially beautiful in spring. The Lake can also be reached from Hohenau an der March.

Lednice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈlɛdɲɪtsɛ]; German: Eisgrub) is a municipality and village in Břeclav District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,300 inhabitants. It is known as part of Lednice–Valtice Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Velké Bílovice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈvɛlkɛː ˈbiːlovɪtsɛ]) (German: Groß Billowitz) is a town in Břeclav District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,900 inhabitants. It is known for viticulture.

Moravský Žižkov is a municipality and village in Břeclav District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,500 inhabitants.

Lanžhot (German: Landshut) is a town in Břeclav District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,600 inhabitants. It is the southernmost Moravian town.
