MLC School (previously Methodist Ladies' College) is an independent Uniting Church single-sex early learning, primary, and secondary day school for girls, located in the inner western Sydney suburb of Burwood, New South Wales, Australia. The school enrols students from early learning, through kindergarten to year 12.

Parramatta Road is the major historical east-west artery of metropolitan Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, connecting the Sydney CBD with Parramatta. It is the easternmost part of the Great Western Highway. Since the 1990s its role has been augmented by the City West Link and M4 Motorway. As at 2015, over three million commuters every year drove Parramatta Road. The road is the hub of Sydney's motor dealership industry - with 67% of the adjacent land used for motor retailing and services.

Concord Parish is one of the 57 parishes of Cumberland County, New South Wales, a cadastral unit for use on land titles. It is located to the south of the Parramatta River between Homebush Bay and Iron Cove; and to the north of Cooks River. It includes the suburbs of Homebush (but not Flemington), most of Strathfield, Burwood, Croydon, Concord, Canada Bay, Abbotsford and Drummoyne. It covers the local government areas of City of Canada Bay and the Municipality of Burwood and most of the Municipality of Strathfield (excluding the western part of the municipality that was incorporated in 1892). It roughly corresponds to the western half of the Inner West region, with the neighbouring Parish of Petersham making up the eastern half.

Burwood North Metro Station is an under construction station on the Sydney Metro West that will serve the Sydney suburb of Burwood. It will be located on the corner of Burwood and Parramatta Roads and is scheduled to open with the rest of the line in 2032.

The Burwood Sewer Vent is a heritage-listed sewer ventilation stack located at Railway Parade in the Sydney suburb of Burwood in the Municipality of Burwood local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed and built by the Metropolitan Board of Water Supply and Sewerage in 1919. It is also known as Wentworth Road Sewer Vent and Railway Parade Sewer Vent. The property is owned by Sydney Water, a statutory corporation of the Government of New South Wales. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 15 November 2002.

Strathfield railway station is a heritage-listed railway station located on the Main Suburban line in the Sydney suburb of Strathfield in the Municipality of Strathfield local government area of New South Wales, Australia. The station is served by Sydney Trains T1 North Shore & Western Line, T9 Northern Line and T2 Inner West & Leppington Line suburban services as well as NSW TrainLink Intercity and regional services. The station is located on the Main Northern and Main Western railway lines, forming a major junction for regional and suburban rail services. The station and associated infrastructure was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Strathfield Plaza is a shopping centre in Strathfield located in the Inner West of Sydney, Australia and is positioned at the central hub of Strathfield located on Churchill Avenue opposite Strathfield railway station It opened in 1981 The shopping centre has a two-level car park and a nine-storey office tower. On 17 August 1991, the Strathfield Plaza became the site of a tragic mass shooting known as the Strathfield massacre. This incident resulted in the loss of eight lives, including the perpetrator, and left six others wounded.

Westfield Burwood is a large shopping centre in the suburb of Burwood in the Inner West of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

The Strathfield massacre was a shooting rampage at a shopping centre in Strathfield, Sydney, Australia, on 17 August 1991. The shooter was Wade Frankum, who killed himself as police arrived at the scene. The incident left eight dead and six wounded.

The Trinity Uniting Church is a heritage-listed Uniting church located at 62 The Boulevarde, in the Sydney suburb of Strathfield in the Municipality of Burwood local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by George Sydney Jones & Harry Thompson and built from 1889 to 1890 by Thomas Hanley of Balmain. It is also known as Trinity Congregational Church. The property is owned by the Uniting Church in Australia. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 19 September 2003.

Burwood Plaza is a small 1970s-style two-storey railway shopping centre located in the suburb of Burwood in Sydney's Inner West. Due to the lack in investment into the property by the current owner of Holdmark Property Group and socio-economic changes in the Burwood area, Burwood Plaza has lost such a significant amount of its former shoppers since its prime that despite its small size, has become one of Sydney's most notable dying malls.By January 2023, the shopping centre had lost most of its main tenants leaving just a Woolworths, Lowes Menswear, a small Subway franchise and almost a quarter of the centre empty. With many of the former notable stores such as the former hair salon, game shop, bakery and convenience store becoming temporary lease stores mainly occupied by stores selling illegal counterfeit goods. This has led to the remains of the shopping centre becoming a hybrid of a dead mall and a black market for Chinese-made counterfeit clothing claiming to be from large brands such as Gucci and Nike.The shopping centre is also losing foot traffic due to gentrification in the Burwood area. Less people are using the train station and bus stations which Burwood Plaza benefits from being in closer proximity to compared to Westfield, which has is a much more car-suited shopping centre design, compared to the 1970s pedestrian-suited design of Burwood Plaza. The shopping centre also suffers from sharing some of the same shops as Westfield Burwood, this has made the journey to Burwood Plaza from Westfield less common. To revive the centre, Holdmark Property Group has started to position the centre as a community centre for the Burwood area and has attempted to modernise small areas of the centre.

The Strathfield rail underbridges are heritage-listed railway bridges located on the Main Southern and Main Western railway lines, in Strathfield in the Municipality of Strathfield local government area of New South Wales, Australia. The underbridges are also known as Strathfield rail underbridges (flyover) and Strathfield Flyover. The property is owned by RailCorp, an agency of the Government of New South Wales. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.The underbridges can be viewed from Cooper Street, near its intersection with Leicester Ave, Strathfield.
