Westfield Burwood

Burwood is a suburb in the Inner West of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west of the Sydney central business district and is the administrative centre for the local government area of Municipality of Burwood. Burwood Heights is a separate suburb to the south. The Appian Way is a street in Burwood, known for its architecturally designed Federation-style homes.

Burwood railway station is a heritage-listed railway station located on the Main Suburban line in the Sydney suburb of Burwood in the Municipality of Burwood local government area of New South Wales, Australia. The station is served by Sydney Trains T9 Northern line and T2 Inner West & Leppington line services.

The Burwood rail underbridge is a heritage-listed railway underbridge located on the Main Southern and Main Western railway lines in the Sydney suburb of Burwood, in the Municipality of Burwood local government area of New South Wales, Australia. The triple-girder underbridge spans Burwood Road. The railway bridge was built from 1892 to 1926 by John Ahern. The property is owned by Transport Asset Holding Entity, an agency of the Government of New South Wales. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

The Burwood Post Office is a heritage-listed former Aboriginal land, farm and former post office and now retail building located at 168a Burwood Road in the Sydney suburb of Burwood in the Municipality of Burwood local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Walter Liberty Vernon and George Oakeshott (assistant draughtsman) and built by New South Wales Works Branch. It is also known as Burwood Post Office (former). It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 18 May 2001.

Burwood Plaza is a small 1970s-style two-storey railway shopping centre located in the suburb of Burwood in Sydney's Inner West. Due to the lack in investment into the property by the current owner of Holdmark Property Group and socio-economic changes in the Burwood area, Burwood Plaza has lost such a significant amount of its former shoppers since its prime that despite its small size, has become one of Sydney's most notable dying malls.By January 2023, the shopping centre had lost most of its main tenants leaving just a Woolworths, Lowes Menswear, a small Subway franchise and almost a quarter of the centre empty. With many of the former notable stores such as the former hair salon, game shop, bakery and convenience store becoming temporary lease stores mainly occupied by stores selling illegal counterfeit goods. This has led to the remains of the shopping centre becoming a hybrid of a dead mall and a black market for Chinese-made counterfeit clothing claiming to be from large brands such as Gucci and Nike.The shopping centre is also losing foot traffic due to gentrification in the Burwood area. Less people are using the train station and bus stations which Burwood Plaza benefits from being in closer proximity to compared to Westfield, which has is a much more car-suited shopping centre design, compared to the 1970s pedestrian-suited design of Burwood Plaza. The shopping centre also suffers from sharing some of the same shops as Westfield Burwood, this has made the journey to Burwood Plaza from Westfield less common. To revive the centre, Holdmark Property Group has started to position the centre as a community centre for the Burwood area and has attempted to modernise small areas of the centre.

2000FM (call sign 2OOO) is a multilingual community radio station broadcasting to Sydney in languages other than English from studios in the suburb of Burwood. It is a volunteer run organisation and is funded through listener support, grants and limited commercial sponsorship.The mission of 2000FM is to provide a service through dedication to enrich the cohesion of our cultural diversity via tolerance, understanding and respect for each other.

Christ College, formerly known as the Presbyterian Theological Centre, is the theological college of the Presbyterian Church of Australia in New South Wales. It provides theological education for ministry candidates and members of the laity. It is an approved teaching institution of the Australian College of Theology.The other theological colleges of the Presbyterian Church of Australia are the Presbyterian Theological College in Melbourne, the Queensland Theological College (formerly the Consortium of Reformed Colleges) in Brisbane.

MLC School (previously Methodist Ladies' College) is an independent Uniting Church single-sex early learning, primary, and secondary day school for girls, located in the inner western Sydney suburb of Burwood, New South Wales, Australia. The school enrols students from early learning, through kindergarten to year 12.

Lynton is a heritage-listed residence located at 4 Clarence Street in the Sydney suburb of Burwood in the Municipality of Burwood local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Stanley Rickard and built from 1906. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Burwood Girls' High School is a public, comprehensive, secondary school for girls, located in Croydon, an inner western suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1929, the school enrolled approximately 1,150 students in 2018, from Year 7 to Year 12, of whom one percent identified as Indigenous Australians and 69 percent were from a language background other than English. The school is operated by the NSW Department of Education in accordance with a curriculum developed by the New South Wales Education Standards Authority; the principal is Mia Kumar.

Concord Oval (also Waratah Stadium), is a rugby football stadium in the inner-west Sydney suburb of Concord, Australia. The stadium is able to hold 5,000 people as of November 2022, down from 20,000 when the Concord Oval was opened in 1985. As of 2022, it is used mostly for rugby union matches and hosted eight matches during the 1987 Rugby World Cup. It is also a venue for soccer matches and local rugby league matches. It is the home ground of West Harbour RFC in the Shute Shield rugby union competition, and was the home of Greater Sydney Rams in the defunct National Rugby Championship. It is also the training and administration base for the Wests Tigers rugby league club. The Inter Lions SC soccer club also plays some home games at the ground.

Woodstock is a heritage-listed mansion in the Sydney suburb of Burwood, New South Wales, Australia. It was built between c. 1866 and 1873 by Edwin Thomas Penfold and changed hands a number of times before being acquired by Burwood Council. During World War II the property was acquired by the Australian Government for military purposes. The Victorian Italianate villa is listed on the (now defunct) Australian Register of the National Estate and the Burwood Council local government heritage list.
