Beauchamp Place

Ovington Square is a garden square in central London's Knightsbridge district. It lies between Brompton Road to the north-west (reached via Ovington Gardens) and Walton Street to the south-east.

San Lorenzo (formally La Bottega Del San Lorenzo) is an upmarket restaurant located at 22 Beauchamp Place in Knightsbridge, London. It was one of the favourite London restaurants of Diana, Princess of Wales and often visited by other celebrities.

Brompton Road is a street located in the southern part from Knightsbridge and in the eastern part from Brompton in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and partly the City of Westminster in London.It starts from Knightsbridge Underground station and runs south-west through an extremely wealthy residential area until it reaches Egerton Gardens and the area to the east of South Kensington Underground station. It ends at what is popularly known as Brompton Cross, becoming Fulham Road, home of Chelsea Football Club. There are 5-star hotels and many top restaurants and shops along the road. One of the most famous department stores in the world, Harrods, is located near the eastern end. Another major landmark along the road is the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, commonly known as the Brompton Oratory. The Embassy of Uruguay is located at no. 150.Brompton Road Underground station was halfway between Knightsbridge and South Kensington stations on the Piccadilly line, just east of the Brompton Oratory. It closed on 30 July 1934 due to a lack of traffic and following the opening of new entrances at Knightsbridge station. Brompton Road is sometimes confused with Old Brompton Road which lies further to the west in South Kensington. In the 1980s, a bomb unexpectedly went off just outside of Harrod's. A police man and some shoppers were killed. The IRA claimed responsibility, and that the bombing was unintended.

The Storran Gallery was a fashionable avant-garde art gallery in London in the 1930s. In 1937 it was run by the prominent art critic Eardley Knollys (a friend of Picasso) with Ala Story and the artist Frank Coombs (1906-1941). The gallery was at 106 Brompton Road London SW3 (just opposite Harrods) but moved to Fitzroy Street and then 316 Euston Road. An unusual exhibition at the gallery in 1938 was ‘‘The Jones Exhibition’’. The artists Graham Bell and Tom Harrisson curated an exhibition of London scenes by British painters. As a way of making it "democratic", they typed letters to invite over 800 London-based families with the widely held name Jones.Pictures exhibited at the Storran Gallery in the late 1930s included those by Picasso, Modigliani, Dufy, Anthony Devas, Claude Rogers, Victor Pasmore, Rupert Shephard, Graham Bell, Clare Crossley, William Coldstream, Ivon Hitchens, Jean Varda,Derek Sayer, Lynton Lamb, Joan Souter-Robinson, Ivy Langton, and Derek Latymer-Sayer. A number of these artists were members of the Euston Road School.

St Columba's Church is one of the two London congregations of the Church of Scotland. The church building, designed by Sir Edward Maufe, is located in Pont Street, Knightsbridge, near Harrod's department store. It was given Grade II listing by English Heritage in 1988.

The Bunch of Grapes, Knightsbridge is a pub at 207 Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, London SW3. It is a Grade II listed building, built in the mid-19th century.

Walton Street is a street within central London's Chelsea district, bordering Knightsbridge. It runs south-west to north-east from Draycott Avenue to Walton Place, parallel to Brompton Road to the north. It is known for its boutiques and restaurants.On 18 November 1975, the Walton's Restaurant bombing took place, when an Irish Republican Army (IRA) unit nicknamed the Balcombe Street Gang threw a bomb into Walton's Restaurant without warning, killing two people and injuring almost two dozen.

The Tea Clipper is a Grade II listed public house at 19 Montpelier Street, Knightsbridge, London, SW7.It was formerly called The Talbot and was built in the early/mid-19th century.The pub closed in 2014. In May 2012 the owner, Aldenberg Investments Ltd, had planning permission to turn it into a house refused by the City of Westminster.

Montpelier Square is a residential garden square in Knightsbridge, London, administratively in the City of Westminster. The homes were built in the 19th century and are of brick construction partly covered by stucco. All of the buildings facing inwards are listed grade II (the mainstream, initial category) in the heritage listing scheme used in England.

Hellenic College of London was a bilingual school in Knightsbridge, London. It was founded in 1980 by former King Constantine II and Queen Anne-Marie of Greece, and closed in 2005.It started as a boarding school, but it later also functioned as a day school. The second headmaster was James Wardrobe. The school was for Greek pupils or pupils with Greek origins. By 1996, it had 280 pupils, but after that it declined, finally having only 80 in 2005. Hellenic College's governors included Constantine, Anne-Marie, their son Nikolaos (an ex-pupil), and Michael Chandris.

The Deutsche Evangelische Christuskirche is a church on Montpelier Place in Knightsbridge, London. German Christian theologian Julius Rieger has described it as the most significant German church in London.

Harrods Limited is a department store located on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, London, England. It is currently owned by the state of Qatar via its sovereign wealth fund, the Qatar Investment Authority. The Harrods brand also applies to other enterprises undertaken by the Harrods group of companies, including Harrods Estates, Harrods Aviation and Air Harrods. The store occupies a 5-acre (2 ha) site and has 330 departments covering 1.1 million sq ft (100,000 m2) of retail space. It is one of the largest and most famous department stores in the world.The Harrods motto is Omnia Omnibus Ubique, which is Latin for "all things for all people, everywhere". Several of its departments, including the Seasonal Christmas department and the Food Halls, are well known. Harrods was also a founder of the International Association of Department Stores in 1928, which is still active today, and remained a member until 1935. Franck Chitham, Harrods' president at the time, was president of the Association in 1930.
