Sykehouse is a village and civil parish in the City of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England, on the border with the East Riding of Yorkshire. It was part of the West Riding of Yorkshire until 1974. It had a population of 438 in 2001, increasing to 515 at the 2011 Census.The parish includes the hamlets of Eskholme, Pincheon Green, Topham and Wormley Hill.

Snaith and Pollington railway station was a station on the Hull and Barnsley and Great Central Joint Railway between Sykehouse and Carlton. It was built with the line which opened in 1916, but the station never opened to passengers, being used for goods traffic only. Like most stations on this line, it was situated near the town of Snaith and the village of Pollington. It was renamed to Pollington in July 1951, to avoid confusion with Snaith railway station on the Wakefield to Goole line. Despite never opening to passengers, the station had the necessary facilities, and the two flanking platforms remained in situ until 1960. The station was controlled by a signal box situated by the level crossing at the end of the platform, which lasted until the final closure of the line.

The station was controlled by a signal box situated by the level crossing at the end of the platform, which lasted until the final closure of the line.

Pollington is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) south-west of the town of Snaith and 1 mile (1.6 km) south of the M62 motorway. It lies on the north bank of the Aire and Calder Navigation. According to the 2011 UK census, Pollington parish had a population of 966, an increase on the 2001 UK census figure of 939.

Stainforth railway station was a station on the South Yorkshire Railway's line between Doncaster and Thorne, serving the town of Stainforth, South Yorkshire, England.

Kirk Bramwith is a village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England. It had a population of 200 in 2001, increasing to 320 at the 2011 Census. The village centre is located on a narrow strip of land, sandwiched between the River Don Navigation to the south east and the New Junction Canal to the north west. It is low-lying, with most of it close to the 16-foot (5 m) contour, and is almost surrounded by drainage ditches.

Bramwith railway station was a small station on the South Yorkshire Railway's line between Doncaster and Thorne. It served the village of Kirk Bramwith, near Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. The original line followed closely the canal bank coming close to the village. The original station was opened with the line on 7 July 1856 and closed on 1 October 1866. With the new "straightened" line being further from the village this station was not resited.

Fishlake is a village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster. It was historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire until 1974. In 2001 it had a population of 628, increasing to 682 at the 2011 Census. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book where the name is given as fiscelac, from Old English fisc-lacu, 'fish-stream'.

The Snaith School is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Snaith in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The school was founded in 1899. As of 2014 the school had a pupil count of 910. Also as of the 2014 ofsted report the school was rated: Good. the Percentage of pupils who attained five GCSEs grade A* to C including English and mathematics in 2014 was 66%.

Stainforth () is a town and civil parish in the City of Doncaster, in South Yorkshire, England. It is around 7 miles (11 km) north-east of Doncaster, close to Hatfield and Thorne. It had a population of 6,342 in the 2001 census, reducing slightly to 6,282 at the 2011 census.

Snaith is a market town in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, close to the River Aire and the M62 and M18 motorways, 7 miles (11 km) west of Goole, 10 miles (16 km) east of Knottingley, 8 miles (13 km) south of Selby, 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Howden and 8 miles (13 km) northwest of Thorne.

West Cowick is a village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, situated approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) south-east of Snaith. It is just to the south of the A1041 road and north of the M62 motorway. It was historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire until 1974. It forms part of the civil parish of Snaith and Cowick. To the east of the village is the late 17th-century Grade I listed Cowick Hall the former seat of the Viscounts Downe which is now the headquarters of Croda International. In the late 13th to early 16th centuries AD, West Cowick was one of the production sites of a type of Medieval ceramic known as Humber ware.
