Sykehouse railway station was a station on the Hull and Barnsley and Great Central Joint Railway between Thorpe-in-Balne and Snaith and Pollington. It was built with the line which opened on 1 May 1916, but the station never opened to passengers. Like most stations on this line, it was situated on the edge of Sykehouse some distance from the village centre, in the hamlet of Topham, just south of where the railway crossed the River Went. Despite never opening to passengers, the station had the necessary facilities, and the two flanking platforms remained in situ until 1960. The station was controlled by a signal box situated by the level crossing at the end of the platform, which lasted until the final closure of the line.

It was built with the line which opened in 1916, but the station never opened to passengers, being used for goods traffic only. Like most stations on this line, it was situated near the town of Snaith and the village of Pollington. It was renamed to Pollington in July 1951, to avoid confusion with Snaith railway station on the Wakefield to Goole line. Despite never opening to passengers, the station had the necessary facilities, and the two flanking platforms remained in situ until 1960. Kirk Bramwith is a village and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster in South Yorkshire, England. It had a population of 200 in 2001, increasing to 320 at the 2011 Census. The village centre is located on a narrow strip of land, sandwiched between the River Don Navigation to the south east and the New Junction Canal to the north west. It is low-lying, with most of it close to the 16-foot (5 m) contour, and is almost surrounded by drainage ditches.

Bramwith railway station was a small station on the South Yorkshire Railway's line between Doncaster and Thorne. It served the village of Kirk Bramwith, near Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. The original line followed closely the canal bank coming close to the village. The original station was opened with the line on 7 July 1856 and closed on 1 October 1866. With the new "straightened" line being further from the village this station was not resited.
