The Liberdade Street Fair (Portuguese: Feira de Arte e Artesanato da Liberdade or Feirinha da Liberdade) is an art and handicraft fair in the Liberdade district of São Paulo. This popular open air market began in 1975 and operates every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 6pm near the Liberdade Metro station. There is a number of attractions, festivals and other artistic events that occur all year along at the market.

Portuguese: Contando a féria or The Shoemaker and the Newsboy (Portuguese: O engraxate e o jornaleiro) is a sculpture located in João Mendes Place in São Paulo, Brazil. It was created by Ricardo Cipicchia and inaugurated in 1950.The piece was produced in bronze, with a granite pedestal. Bronze work was carried out by the J. Rebeliato Foundry.It portrays two professions, very common at the start of the 20th century in the Brazilian cities: a shoemaker and a newspaper seller. These were usually activities performed by children and adolescents. Cipicchia carried out the work by observing this work being carried out in the central area of São Paulo. It is part of a series of works done by the sculptor and spread in the city of São Paulo.The stylistic highlight in the work is the expressiveness of the young people portrayed.

The São Paulo Metropolitan Cathedral (Portuguese: Catedral Metropolitana de São Paulo), also known as the See Cathedral (Portuguese: Catedral da Sé), is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of São Paulo, Brazil. Its current and seventh Metropolitan Archbishop is Dom Odilo Pedro Cardinal Scherer, appointed by Pope Benedict XVI on March 21, 2007, and installed on April 29 of the same year. The existing cathedral's construction, in a Gothic revival style, began in 1913 and ended four decades later. It was ready for its dedication on the 400th anniversary of the foundation of the then humble villa of São Paulo by Chief or Cacique Tibiriçá and the Jesuit priests Manuel da Nóbrega and José de Anchieta. Despite its Renaissance-style dome, the São Paulo Metropolitan Cathedral is considered by some to be the fourth largest neo-Gothic cathedral in the world.

The Palace of Justice is the seat of the Court of Justice of the state of São Paulo. It is located in the old center of the city of São Paulo, between the squares Praça da Sé, Praça João Mendes Jr., and Praça Clóvis Bevilácqua, near the São Paulo Cathedral, the Anchieta Palace (seat of the Municipal Chamber of São Paulo) and the Matarazzo Building (seat of the São Paulo City Hall). Nearby one finds the headquarters of the Order of Attorneys of Brazil and the Public Prosecution Office of the State of São Paulo, as well as the Law School of the University of São Paulo. Its construction happened due to the expansion of the São Paulo judicial sphere and demographic growth, which meant the Court of Justice needed to be housed in a new headquarter, and no longer in old mansions in the central region of São Paulo.

The Archdiocese of São Paulo (Latin: Archidioecesis Sancti Pauli in Brasilia) is a Latin Metropolitan Archbishopric of the Roman Catholic Church in Brazil. The Archdiocese is currently headed by Odilo Scherer since his appointment by Pope Benedict XVI on 21 March 2007, an appointment that ended almost four decades of Franciscan leadership in the archdiocese: both predecessors, Cardinals Paulo Evaristo Arns and Cláudio Hummes, belonged to that Order. Its cathedral episcopal see, the Catedral Metropolitana Nossa Senhora da Assunção e São Paulo, in the metropolis São Paulo, was dedicated to the Assumption of Mary on September 5, 1964. The city also has three minor basilicas : Basílica de Nossa Senhora da Assunção, Basílica de Nossa Senhora do Carmo (both also Marian) and Basílica do Santíssimo Sacramento (dedicated to the Holly Sacrament).

The Subprefecture of Mooca is one of 32 subprefectures of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It comprises six districts: Brás, Mooca, Belém, Pari, Água Rasa, and Tatuapé.It's a historical place of the city, where much of the industrial development of the city took place. It hosts the Museum of Immigration of the State of São Paulo and the headquarters of two of the largest universities in São Paulo (Universidade São Judas Tadeu and Universidade Cidade de São Paulo). Also the headquarters of the football teams Corinthians and Clube Atlético Juventus are in this subprefecture.

The Subprefecture of Sé is one of 32 subprefectures of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It comprises eight districts: Bela Vista, Bom Retiro, Cambuci, Consolação, Liberdade, República, Sé, Santa Cecília. This subprefecture forms the inner city, historical core of the city. The São Paulo Stock Exchange is also located in this area.

Sé is the name of the most central borough in the city of São Paulo, in Brazil, divided in eight districts. The name comes from the presence of São Paulo Cathedral (Catedral da Sé) in the borough, and it is also the name of the central square (Praça da Sé). Also located in the Sé are the Pátio do Colégio, site of the foundation of the city in 1554, the São Paulo stock exchange (the Bovespa), the mayor's palace and other historical buildings, including the Municipal Theater of São Paulo, the São Paulo Music Hall (Sala São Paulo) and the central railway Luz Station (Estação da Luz). Immigrant groups established in the Sé borough include Italians (in Bela Vista), Japanese (in Liberdade), and Jews (in Bom Retiro). Sé is also the borough with the largest number of subway stations. There are many areas of popular commerce, like the 25 de Março Street (one of the most popular area of commerce in Brazil, though often illegal), and high-class areas such as Pacaembu and Higienópolis. The famous Paulista Avenue (Avenida Paulista) is the southwest limit of this borough, with the borough of Pinheiros. The neighbourhood (and the later city) has developed between the three ancient churches of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Saint Benedict and Saint Francis of Assisi (which part of it was expropriated by Emperor Pedro II for the establishment of the Law School). This borough is also an important college center with the very traditional Law School of the University of São Paulo and Mackenzie University, founded by North American Presbyterian missionaries in the 19th century.

Sé is a central station on Line 1 (Blue) and Line 3 (Red) of the São Paulo Metro. It is located under the Praça da Sé, next to the São Paulo Cathedral. It was officially inaugurated on 17 February 1978.

Marco Zero (Zero Milestone) is a geographic monument in downtown São Paulo. In 1934, the marble milestone was installed in front of the São Paulo Cathedral on the Praça da Sé to symbolize the center of the city. The sculpture is a both a tourist attraction and a central point of reference for street numbers in the city. Marco Zero has been registered for historic preservation since 2007.

Praça da Sé (English: See Square) is a public space in São Paulo, Brazil. Considered as the city's central point, it is the point from where the distance of all roads passing through São Paulo are counted. The square was the location of many historical events in São Paulo's history, most notably during the Diretas Já movement. The name originates from the episcopal see of the city, the São Paulo Cathedral.
