Saint-Jean-Chrysostome Aerodrome

The Levis De-Icer is a High voltage direct current (HVDC) system, aimed at de-icing multiple AC power lines in Quebec, Canada. It is the only HVDC system not used for power transmission. In the winter of 1998, Québec's power lines were toppled by icing, sometimes up to 75 mm. To prevent such a damage, a de-icing system was developed.The Levis De-Icer can use a maximum power of 250 MW; its operation voltage is ±17.4 kV. It can be used on multiple 735 kV AC power lines. When there is no icing, the Lévis De-Icer installed at Hydro-Québec's Lévis substation operates as static VAR compensator improving the stability of the AC lines.

Saint-Jean-Chrysostome is a sector within the Les Chutes-de-la-Chaudière-Est borough of the city of Lévis in central Quebec, Canada south of Quebec City on the south bank of the Saint Lawrence River. It was a separate town, incorporated in 1828, but in 2002 was amalgamated into Lévis.It is a mostly suburban community, connected to Quebec City by bus (Société de transport de Lévis) via Sainte-Foy. École secondaire l'Horizon is a French-language public secondary school located in Saint-Jean-Chrysostome, Quebec, Canada. It is located on Place Centre-ville in the downtown sector of Saint-Jean-Chrysostome and is run by the Commission scolaire des Navigateurs school board. Most of the school's students come from Saint-Jean-Chrysostome and Breakeyville, but some come from the districts of Saint-Romuald and Charny.

Saint-Hélène-de-Breakeyville is a district (secteur) within the Les Chutes-de-la-Chaudière-Est borough of the city of Lévis. It is located on the Chaudière River. Prior to 2002, it was an independent municipality.

Desjardins was a regional county municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada. It and Les Chutes-de-la-Chaudière Regional County Municipality were formed from the division of Lévis County in the 1980s. Desjardins ceased to exist when most of it, along with most of Les Chutes-de-la-Chaudière RCM, amalgamated into the expanded city of Lévis on January 1, 2002.

Pintendre is a district within the Desjardins borough of the City of Lévis, Quebec; It is located south of central Lévis along both side of Route 173. Prior to January 1, 2002, it was an independent municipality. Pintendre is the home of Pintendre Auto, a company recognized in 1990 by the Automotive Recyclers' Association as the best structured auto recycling facility in the world (chosen from 1800 other auto recycling corporate entities located in 14 countries). Saint-Henri is a municipality of 5,611 people, 20 km south of Lévis, in the Bellechasse Regional County Municipality. It is sometimes known as Saint-Henri-de-Lévis, and was historically known as Saint-Henri-de-Lauzon. It used to belong to the former Desjardins Regional County Municipality, but decided to join Bellechasse in 2000 when the new city of Lévis was created. Saint-Henri felt it did not belong with a mostly urban RCM, and would fit better with Bellechasse, which has a largely rural base. Now, Saint-Henri is the biggest town in this RCM, followed by Saint-Anselme and Sainte-Claire. The Etchemin River crosses the municipality and one hydroelectric dam is found in Saint-Henri. On November 6, 1775, Benedict Arnold is said to have visited the village on his way to attack Quebec City. The largest local business is Olymel, a meat processing factory.

The rivière des Couture (in English: Couture River) is a tributary of the east bank of the rivière à la Scie which flows west to the south bank of the St. Lawrence River. This watercourse flows entirely within the territory of the city of Lévis, in the administrative region of Chaudière-Appalaches, in Québec, in Canada.

Lévis is a provincial electoral district in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada. It includes all of the city of Lévis north of Autoroute 20 and east of the Chaudière River. This includes downtown Lévis, Lauzon, Saint-David-de-l'Auberivière and Saint-Romuald. It was created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada).
