Zgornja Gorica

Spodnja Gorica (pronounced [ˈspoːdnja ɡɔˈɾiːtsa]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Rače–Fram in northeastern Slovenia. It lies on the flatlands on the right bank of the Drava River south of Rače. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.The village chapel was built in 1924. Traces of Neolithic, Bronze Age and Roman period settlements have been identified at excavations in the area of the village.

The Drava Statistical Region (Slovene: Podravska statistična regija) is a statistical region in Slovenia. The largest city in the region is Maribor. The region's name comes from the Drava River and includes land on both banks along its course through Slovenia as well as the Pohorje mountains in the northeast of the region. The Drava is used for the production of hydroelectricity and the fertile land around it is used for agriculture. The share of job vacancies in all available jobs is among the highest in Slovenia and the region has a positive net migration rate but a very high natural decrease, which means an overall decrease in the population.

Gaj (pronounced [ˈɡaːi̯]) is a settlement just east of Pragersko in the Municipality of Slovenska Bistrica in northeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Drava Statistical Region.In 1980 part of the settlement was split off to become Spodnji Gaj pri Pragerskem in the neighboring Municipality of Kidričevo.At the Žutreki archaeological site north of the settlement, numerous Bronze Age and Roman artefacts were discovered during field surveys. In 2003 the site was partially excavated and traces of wooden prehistoric structures were discovered.

Rače (pronounced [ˈɾaːtʃɛ]) is a settlement in and the administrative centre of the Municipality of Rače–Fram in northeastern Slovenia. It lies under the eastern Pohorje Hills on the edge of the plain on the right bank of the Drava River south of Maribor. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.Rače Castle is a 16th-century castle west of the settlement. It was built between 1528 and 1533 and was originally surrounded by a moat. In the 17th century two round towers and a chapel dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk were added to the building. A square tower on the opposite side of the building dates to 1915.

Its location under two large linden trees makes it a dominant feature in the village landscape.
