The area is served as United States Postal Service ZIP Code 08039. As of the 2000 U.S. Census, the population for ZIP Code Tabulation Area 08039 was 153.

The South Harrison Township School District is a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade from South Harrison Township, in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of one school, had an enrollment of 315 students and 32.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.8:1.The district participates in the Interdistrict Public School Choice Program at South Harrison Township Elementary School, having been approved in July 2001 to participate in the program. Seats in the program for non-resident students are specified by the district and are allocated by lottery, with tuition paid for participating students by the New Jersey Department of Education.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "FG", the fourth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.For seventh through twelfth grades, public school students are educated by the Kingsway Regional School District. The district also serves students from East Greenwich Township, Swedesboro and Woolwich Township, with the addition of students from Logan Township who attend as part of a sending/receiving relationship in which tuition is paid on a per-pupil basis by the Logan Township School District. Schools in the district (with 2020–21 enrollment data from the National Center for Education Statistics) are Kingsway Regional Middle School with 1,023 students in grades 7-8 and Kingsway Regional High School with 1,802 students in grades 9-12. Under a 2011 proposal, Kingsway would have merged with its constituent member's K-6 districts to become a full K-12 district, with various options for including Logan Township as part of the consolidated district.

Wagonhouse Winery is a winery in South Harrison Township (mailing address is Swedesboro) in Gloucester County, New Jersey. Wagonhouse's original vineyard was first planted in 2004 in Mickleton, also in Gloucester County. The winery began sales of its wine in 2005, and opened a tasting room in South Harrison in 2011. Wagonhouse has 10 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 7,000 cases of wine per year. The winery is named for an old wagon house that is on their farm.

South Harrison Township is a township in Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the township's population was 3,395, an increase of 233 (+7.4%) from the 2010 census count of 3,162, which in turn reflected an increase of 745 (+30.8%) from the 2,417 counted in the 2000 census.South Harrison was formed as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 2, 1883, from portions of Harrison Township. Elk Township was formed from portions of South Harrison Township on April 17, 1891. It is a dry town, where alcohol cannot be sold, though alcohol is available at the winery in the township.

WGLS-FM (89.7 MHz), known as Rowan Radio, is a college radio station licensed to Rowan University. The studios are located in the College of Communication on the campus of Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. WGLS-FM is Gloucester County's only FM radio station. WGLS's programming features a variety of music, sports, cultural, educational programs focused towards the interest of the Rowan University and South Jersey communities. The call letters for WGLS hearken back to the former name of the institution: W GLassboro State College. The station has won numerous local and national awards, including being named "College Station of the Year" by the National Association of College Broadcasters in 1997.

Lincoln is a hamlet and unincorporated community in South Harrison Township, Gloucester County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey.Formerly known as Stringtown, it is located in the southeastern part of the township, near the border with Salem County. It contained a grist mill, saw mill and a few houses. The grist mill was purchased in 1828 by James Jessup, who then purchased the saw mill in 1833.

Butler Farm is located in Swedesboro, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 1, 1978.

DiBella Winery is a winery in Woolwich Township in Gloucester County, New Jersey. A family produce and grain farm since 1925, the vineyard was first planted in 2002. DiBella began sales of its wine in 2010, and opened a tasting room in 2012. DiBella Winery has 4 acres of grapes under cultivation, and produces 250 cases of wine per year. The winery is named after the family that owns it.

Whig Lane is an unincorporated community located within Upper Pittsgrove Township in Salem County, New Jersey, United States. It is located approximately 5 mi (8.0 km) east of Woodstown. The settlement is named for an altercation which occurred there in 1769 between Tories and Whigs. Around that time—prior to the American Revolution—one part of the settlement was also called "Tory Lane".Whig Lane had a post office in 1897.

Moravian Church is a historic church building located on Swedesboro-Sharptown Road in the Oliphant's Mill (Porches Mill) section of Woolwich Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey. The church was dedicated in 1789 and documented by the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) in 1938. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 3, 1973, for its significance in architecture and religion. The property is currently under the stewardship of the Gloucester County Historical Society.

Friends School Mullica Hill is a private, coeducational day school located in the Mullica Hill section of Harrison Township, New Jersey, United States, serving 150 students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Friends School Mullica Hill is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Elementary Schools, and is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, the Association of Delaware Valley Independent Schools and the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools.The school was founded in 1969 as a pre-k through 12th grade college preparatory Friends School, having moved from Woodbury, New Jersey where it was a kindergarten through 8th grade school. In 1992, the high school was laid down. The school currently has students in grades pre-kindergarten (3 years old) through 8th grade. There are two main buildings on campus: the Noel Baker Building and the Hanshi Deshbandhu. The main campus is 22 acres with an additional 14 acres in the nearby Heritage Woods Tract which contains a nature trail and low ropes adventure course. The current Head of school is Matthew Bradley.
