Swedesboro is a borough in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 2,584, reflecting an increase of 529 (+25.7%) from the 2,055 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 31 (+1.5%) from the 2,024 counted in the 1990 Census.Swedesboro was formed as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 9, 1902, from portions of Woolwich Township. The borough was named for its early settlers from Sweden.Swedesboro has been recognized by the National Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA since 2000.

Mortonson–Van Leer Log Cabin (a.k.a. Schorn Log Cabin), is an historic cabin and one of the last historical dwellings in Swedesboro, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. It stands on the grounds of the cemetery of the Trinity Church. It is one of the oldest original log cabins of early Swedish-Finnish architecture in the United States.

Trinity Church (also known as Old Swedes' Church) is a historic church on the northwest corner of Church Street and King's Highway in Swedesboro (originally called Racoon), in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. The congregation was founded as a Swedish Lutheran parish in 1703 after local residents tired of crossing the river to Delaware or Philadelphia to worship. The first minister, Lars Tollstadius, arrived in the area in 1701. The church was the first Swedish congregation in New Jersey and originally it worshiped in a log building. Services were held in Swedish until 1784. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 for its significance in architecture and religion.

Woolwich Township is a township in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 10,200, reflecting an increase of 7,168 (+236.4%) from the 3,032 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 1,573 (+107.8%) from the 1,459 counted in the 1990 Census.Woolwich was formed by royal charter on March 7, 1767, from portions of Greenwich Township, and was incorporated as one of New Jersey's initial 104 townships by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798. Portions of the township were taken to form Franklin Township (January 27, 1820), Spicer Township (March 13, 1844, now known as Harrison Township), West Woolwich Township (March 7, 1877, now known as Logan Township) and Swedesboro (April 9, 1902). The township was named for Woolwich, England.

This roadway runs generally north-south, connecting Auburn Road (County Route 551) with U.S. Route 322. The posted speed limit on Locke Avenue is 40 miles per hour (60 km/h).

WGLS-FM (89.7 MHz), known as Rowan Radio, is a college radio station licensed to Rowan University. The studios are located in the College of Communication on the campus of Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. WGLS-FM is Gloucester County's only FM radio station. WGLS's programming features a variety of music, sports, cultural, educational programs focused towards the interest of the Rowan University and South Jersey communities. The call letters for WGLS hearken back to the former name of the institution: W GLassboro State College. The station has won numerous local and national awards, including being named "College Station of the Year" by the National Association of College Broadcasters in 1997.

Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church and Mount Zion Cemetery is a historic church at 172 Garwin Road in Woolwich Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States. It was built in 1799 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. It played an important role in the Underground Railroad in South Jersey.

Kingsway Regional High School is a four-year comprehensive public high school serving students in ninth through twelfth grade from five communities in Gloucester County, New Jersey, United States, operating as part of the Kingsway Regional School District. The school serves students from East Greenwich Township, Logan Township, South Harrison Township, Swedesboro and Woolwich Township.As of the 2020–21 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,802 students and 128.8 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 14.0:1. There were 186 students (10.3% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 33 (1.8% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
