Mire de Tibães is a Portuguese parish, located in the municipality of Braga. The population in 2011 was 2,437, in an area of 4.36 km². In Tibães is located the famous Monastery of Tibães, founded in the 6th century and now owned by the government.

The Comunidade Intermunicipal do Cávado (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈkavɐðu]) is an administrative division in northern Portugal. It was created in 2008. It borders the intermunicipal community of Ave and the Metropolitan Area of Porto to the south, Alto Tâmega to the east, Alto Minho to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.

Agriculture is very important in Merelim São Paio, a village full of fields of maize and little plantations. However, the agriculturists in Merelim São Paio are getting older and there are few young people following the same way.

Pousa is located in between the two sub-cities (Barcelos and Braga) in the northern region of Portugal. Many of its residents work in the sub-cities as they are within 30 minutes reach using motorised transport. It is surrounded by a beautiful mainstream river along with mountains filled with pine/oak trees. Forest fires are rare but not overlooked by authorities as there is at least one every year. Pousa has the Auto Estrada Porto-Valença running across through its border of its neighbour (Graca).

The Chapel of São Frutuoso (Portuguese: Capela de São Frutuoso), also known as the Chapel of São Frutuoso of Montélios (Portuguese: Capela de São Frutuoso de Montélios) or the Chapel of São Salvador of Montélios (Portuguese: Capela de São Salvador de Montélios), is a pre-Romanesque chapel in the civil parish of Real, municipality of Braga. It is part of group of religious buildings that include the Royal Church, and originally built by the Visigoths in the 7th century, in the form of a Greek cross. Since 1944, it has been classified as a National Monument (Portuguese: Monumento Nacional).
