The Circuito de Velocidade Vasco Sameiro (also known as Circuit of Braga) is a racing circuit located 6 km (3.7 mi) north of Braga, Portugal at Palmeira. It was constructed in 1990 around the local aerodrome and is 3.021 km (1.877 mi) long. The track runs in an anticlockwise direction. The circuit is owned by the Clube Automóvel do Minho. There is a karting track adjacent to the main track. The karting circuit was used for the Karting World Championship in 2000 and 2005, while the auto racing circuit is used mostly for Portuguese national motorsports. In October 2009 it hosted its first international motorsports event, the fifth running of the annual European Touring Car Cup.

Merelim (São Paio), Panoias e Parada de Tibães is a civil parish in the municipality of Braga, Portugal. It was formed in 2013 by the merger of the former parishes Merelim (São Paio), Panoias and Parada de Tibães. The population in 2011 was 5,363, in an area of 5.36 km².The parish is situated on the south bank of the river Cávado, northwest of Braga city centre. Agriculture is very important in Merelim São Paio, a village full of fields of maize and little plantations. However, the agriculturists in Merelim São Paio are getting older and there are few young people following the same way.

Dume is a former freguesia ("civil parish") and former bishopric in the municipality of Braga, northern Portugal, which remains a Catholic titular see. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Real, Dume e Semelhe. It has a population of 3 081 inhabitants and a total area of 4.34 km2.

The Monastery of Dumio (sometimes Dumium or Dumio, in Portuguese São Martinho de Dume), is a former paleo-Christian monastery in the civil parish of Dume, municipality of Braga, in northwestern Portugal. Originally a Roman villa, it was the base of a basilica by Suebi tribes, and later Christian monastery headed by Martin of Braga in the 6th century (c. 550–560). The re-discovery of the Roman ruins in the late 20th century resulted in archaeological excavations that unearthed its former use.

The Bridge of Prado (Portuguese: Ponte do Prado) is a bridge constructed over the Cávado River, in the civil parish of Vila de Prado, municipality of Vila Verde, in Norte Region, Portugal northern Portugal. Although originally a Roman bridge, it was re-constructed during the 16th century when the original had been destroyed following flooding and consistent use. There are few vestiges of the Roman bridge.

Real, Dume e Semelhe is a civil parish in the municipality of Braga, Portugal. It was formed in 2013 by the merger of the former parishes Real, Dume and Semelhe. The population in 2011 was 11,700, in an area of 8.47 km².

The Chapel of São Frutuoso (Portuguese: Capela de São Frutuoso), also known as the Chapel of São Frutuoso of Montélios (Portuguese: Capela de São Frutuoso de Montélios) or the Chapel of São Salvador of Montélios (Portuguese: Capela de São Salvador de Montélios), is a pre-Romanesque chapel in the civil parish of Real, municipality of Braga. It is part of group of religious buildings that include the Royal Church, and originally built by the Visigoths in the 7th century, in the form of a Greek cross. Since 1944, it has been classified as a National Monument (Portuguese: Monumento Nacional).

The Castle of Dona Chica (Portuguese: Castelo da Dona Chica) is a neo-romantic castle and/or residence located in the civil parish of Palmeira, municipality of Braga, in the northern region of Portugal. Originally designed by Ernesto Korrodi, the project suffered from a lack of funds early, eventually changing hands and falling into the possession of creditors.

Best known for the men's professional football team playing in the Primeira Liga, the top flight of Portuguese football at the Estádio Municipal de Braga, it also has departments for athletics, badminton, basketball, beach soccer, billiards, boccia, boxing, esports, futsal, K1 (canoe sprint), karate, kickboxing, muay thai, swimming, taekwondo and volleyball.Founded on 19 January 1921, Braga are nicknamed, Braguistas, and Os Arsenalistas (The Arsenalists) for the shirt colour that resembles English club Arsenal. It is located near the Cávado river, on the south bank, about 5 mi (8.0 km) north from the historic center of the city of Braga. Braga Airport (Aérodromo Municipal de Braga)(BGZ) is located in Palmeira. The Circuito Vasco Sameiro is located at the airport.

Mire de Tibães is a Portuguese parish, located in the municipality of Braga. The population in 2011 was 2,437, in an area of 4.36 km². In Tibães is located the famous Monastery of Tibães, founded in the 6th century and now owned by the government.
