Menands is a village in Albany County, New York, United States. The population was 3,990 at the 2010 census. The village is named after Louis Menand. The village lies inside the town of Colonie and borders the northern city line of Albany.

Menands Manor is a historic home located at Colonie in Albany County, New York, United States. The original house was built before 1840 with major additions and alterations in 1877 in the Stick / Eastlake style. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, U-shaped brick building. It features a multi-gabled slate roof, two 3-story corner towers with pyramidal roofs and wrought iron cresting, and a 2-story porch across the front elevation. A 2-story brick addition was completed in the 1920s. The original house was converted for use by the Home for Aged Men in 1877. In 1982, it housed the Home for Aged Men & Women.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Menand Park Historic District is a national historic district located in the village of Menands in Albany County, New York. It includes 21 contributing buildings; all are residences. The district encompasses an unusual collection of bungalows and Prairie Style houses designed in the period from 1913 to 1925. Most of them have low sloping roofs with wide overhangs and exposed rafters, recessed porches supported by massive brick or cobblestone piers, and cobblestone or stucco coated chimneys.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

St. Agnes Cemetery, established in 1867, is a 108-acre (44 ha) Roman Catholic cemetery operated for the purposes of the Roman Catholic Church through the burial and place of memorial for the faithful departed. Located in Menands, New York, St. Agnes is one of the New York Capital Region's most active cemeteries. St. Agnes Cemetery is managed and cared for by Albany Diocesan Cemeteries. Consecrated in 1867, St. Agnes Cemetery displays the characteristics of the rural cemetery movement. Like other landscapes of this genre, St. Agnes Cemetery was designed to portray order, symmetry, and peace. As places to stroll and meditate in a tranquil setting, rural cemeteries were precursors to public parks. The history of the Capital Region is written on the memorials which dot the hills and glens of St. Agnes Cemetery. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

The Albany Rural Cemetery was established October 7, 1844, in Colonie, New York, United States, just outside the city of Albany, New York. It is renowned as one of the most beautiful, pastoral cemeteries in the U.S., at over 400 acres (1.6 km2). Many historical American figures are buried there.

Louis Menand House is a historic home located at Menands, New York in Albany County, New York. It is a two-story, Queen Anne style farmhouse with a cross gable roof and central chimney. The rear section was built about 1840 and the front section in 1881. It features fishscale shingles on the gable ends. Also on the property are a contributing garage, three sheds, and the foundation of a greenhouse. It is located near the entrance to the Albany Rural Cemetery and St. Agnes Cemetery. The surrounding area was designated the Menand Park Historic District in 1985. A descendant of the original owner is American writer and academic Louis Menand. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.The building and 3 ½ acres was purchased by St. Agnes Cemetery in 2016. It now serves as the central administrative office of Albany Diocesan Cemeteries.

Al-Tro Island Park was an amusement park built in the late 19th century in the village of Menands near the border with Albany, New York; formerly the park was known as Pleasure Island. The island has since been covered with fill and used for Interstate 787.

The former Albany Felt Company Complex, now The Lofts at One Broadway, is located along Broadway (partly New York State Route 32) in eastern Albany County, New York, United States. It is mostly within the village of Menands, with a small portion at its southern end within the city of Albany. In 2014 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.In 1902 the Albany Felt Company built the first of several buildings on the site to manufacture industrial felt for the region's paper industry. Soon that building became its corporate headquarters; it expanded regularly over the first half of the 20th century to the complex's present size. Two ponds on the property were originally created as reservoirs for fire suppression, since the factory was at the time it was built a considerable distance from the nearest firehouse.Over the later half of the 20th century, the company continued to prosper and expanded both its geographical reach and its product line, changing its name to Albany International in the process. By the early 21st century, its product line had largely evolved from felts to composites. In the 2010s, shortly before the property was listed on the Register, it moved its headquarters to New Hampshire and sold the Albany buildings. Part has been used by a self-storage business; the main office building is currently being remodeled into apartments.

Gorham House, also known as Elliot House, is a historic home located at Loudonville in Albany County, New York. It was built in 1926 and is a 2-story, five-bay Colonial Revival–style brick dwelling with flanking 1+1⁄2-story wings. It was built partially of recycled materials from the 1806 Hegeman house in Vischer Ferry, New York.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The George Trimble House in Colonie in Albany County, New York. It was built in 1909 and is a 1+1⁄2-story stucco house in the Arts and Crafts style. It has a gable roof and a large shed dormer across the rear elevation.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Hughson Mansion was a historic home located in the Hamlet of Loudonville, Town of Colonie, County of Albany, State of New York. It was built between approximately 1866 and 1883 and was a large 2+1⁄2-story Second Empire style frame dwelling. It featured a mansard roof with dormers, bracketed cornice, and window surrounds with Baroque details.The mansion was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.In the summer of 1953, the mansion was gifted by Mrs. Frank Hughson to Loudonville Community Church. Loudonville Community Church used the mansion to conduct services and Sunday school until 1959, when a new sanctuary was built adjacent to the mansion. From 1959 until the early 2000s, the mansion was used for Sunday school. The mansion was demolished to make way for Loudonville Community Church's new sanctuary, which was completed in June 2002.

D. D. T. Moore Farmhouse is a historic home located at Loudonville in Albany County, New York. It was built in 1850 and is a 2+1⁄2-story, Colonial style frame dwelling. Porches were added and general renovations occurred during the 1890s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
