George Trimble House (Colonie, New York)

Louis Menand House is a historic home located at Menands, New York in Albany County, New York. It is a two-story, Queen Anne style farmhouse with a cross gable roof and central chimney. The rear section was built about 1840 and the front section in 1881. It features fishscale shingles on the gable ends. Also on the property are a contributing garage, three sheds, and the foundation of a greenhouse. It is located near the entrance to the Albany Rural Cemetery and St. Agnes Cemetery. The surrounding area was designated the Menand Park Historic District in 1985. A descendant of the original owner is American writer and academic Louis Menand. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.The building and 3 ½ acres was purchased by St. Agnes Cemetery in 2016. It now serves as the central administrative office of Albany Diocesan Cemeteries.

Like other landscapes of this genre, St. Agnes Cemetery was designed to portray order, symmetry, and peace. As places to stroll and meditate in a tranquil setting, rural cemeteries were precursors to public parks. The history of the Capital Region is written on the memorials which dot the hills and glens of St. Agnes Cemetery. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Hedge Lawn is a historic home located at Colonie in Albany County, New York. It was built in 1870 and is an unusual 2+1⁄2-story mansion designed in a composite style with Greek Revival and Second Empire style elements. It features a Mansard roof with scalloped slate shingles, three pedimented dormers, and a monumental portico across the front elevation supported by six massive Doric order columns. Also on the property are a contributing carriage house, lawns, mature plantings, iron fence, and two wagon sheds.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Laboratory simulations are performed studying gun firing phenomena, and using static and dynamic load testing (up to 5 million lb), as well as environmental testing. The laboratories are named after the first chief of Army ordinance, Brigadier General Stephen Vincent Benet.

The Iron Building is a historic building at the Watervliet Arsenal in Watervliet, New York. It housed the Watervliet Arsenal Museum until it was closed in fall 2013 for security reasons.The Iron Building was built in 1859 and is "an outstanding example" of pre-fabricated cast iron construction. It is also the only building at the Arsenal to have a strong degree of Italianate styling.: 6 The building was designated as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers in 1983.

The Watervliet Arsenal is an arsenal of the United States Army located in Watervliet, New York, on the west bank of the Hudson River. It is the oldest continuously active arsenal in the United States, and today produces much of the artillery for the army, as well as gun tubes for cannons, mortars, and tanks. It has been a National Historic Landmark since 1966.The arsenal was founded on July 14, 1813 to support the War of 1812, and was designated as the Watervliet Arsenal in 1817. It occupies 142 acres (57 ha) of land, approximately 8 miles (13 km) north of Albany, New York. The location is adjacent to the Hudson River. The site contains manufacturing, administrative offices and storage areas. It also houses the Army's Benét Laboratories, which does product development, improvement, research, and testing.

Mannsville is a hamlet within the town of Colonie, Albany County, New York, United States. It is a small community west of the city of Watervliet and is inaccessible to the rest of Colonie by car without driving through Watervliet. Town historian Jean Olton stated in 1987 that Mannsville was no longer considered "an official hamlet" of the Town of Colonie. As of 2019, Mannsville (misspelled as Mansville) is listed on the Town of Colonie's Town Historian website as an unincorporated community within the Town of Colonie.

Schuyler Flatts is an important prehistoric and historic settlement site overlooking the Hudson River in Colonie, New York. The site includes evidence of prehistoric Native American, early Dutch colonial settlement, and 18th and 19th-century American use. Because of this rich confluence of archaeological sites, the area was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1993. It is now owned by the town of Colonie, and is known as Schuyler Flatts Cultural Park.

Menand Park Historic District is a national historic district located in the village of Menands in Albany County, New York. It includes 21 contributing buildings; all are residences. The district encompasses an unusual collection of bungalows and Prairie Style houses designed in the period from 1913 to 1925. Most of them have low sloping roofs with wide overhangs and exposed rafters, recessed porches supported by massive brick or cobblestone piers, and cobblestone or stucco coated chimneys.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Menands Manor is a historic home located at Colonie in Albany County, New York, United States. The original house was built before 1840 with major additions and alterations in 1877 in the Stick / Eastlake style. It is a 2+1⁄2-story, U-shaped brick building. It features a multi-gabled slate roof, two 3-story corner towers with pyramidal roofs and wrought iron cresting, and a 2-story porch across the front elevation. A 2-story brick addition was completed in the 1920s. The original house was converted for use by the Home for Aged Men in 1877. In 1982, it housed the Home for Aged Men & Women.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
