Mansfield Dam

Lake Travis is a reservoir on the Colorado River in central Texas in the United States. Serving principally as a flood-control reservoir, Lake Travis' historical minimum to maximum water height change is nearly 100 feet. In 2018 alone, it saw a 20-foot depth increase within a single 24-hour period of time. With 30 square miles of surface area, Lake Travis has the largest storage capacity of the seven reservoirs known as the Highland Lakes, and stretches 65 miles (105 km) upriver from western Travis County in a highly serpentine course into southern Burnet County to Max Starcke Dam, southwest of the town of Marble Falls. Besides being used for flood control and as a water supply, the lake is also used for electrical power generation and recreation. The Pedernales River, a major tributary of the Colorado River, flows into the lake from southwestern Travis County.

Marshall Ford is a small unincorporated community in Travis County, Texas, United States. Mansfield Dam is built across a canyon in Marshall Ford, forming Lake Travis. A post office operated in Marshall Ford between 1937 and 1942.

Hudson Bend is a census-designated place (CDP) in Travis County, Texas, United States. The population was 2,981 at the 2010 census.

Steiner Ranch is a planned community and census-designated place (CDP) in Travis County, Texas, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.It is in the west-central part of the county, occupying 4,600 acres (1,900 ha) on a ridge running within a large bend on the north side of the Colorado River between Lake Travis and Lake Austin. The community is surrounded by the city limits of Austin, the state capital, and is 18 miles (29 km) by road northwest of downtown. Real estate developer Al Hughes initially purchased the land for development in the late 1980s from the Steiner family. The neighborhood grew throughout the 1990s and, as of 2017, had a population of around 15,000. It currently contains three elementary schools, one middle school and a variety of community parks, recreation centers and trails.

Hippie Hollow Park (originally known as McGregor County Park) is a park located on the shore of Lake Travis in northwest Austin. It is the only legally recognized clothing-optional public park in the State of Texas. Though the land is owned by the Lower Colorado River Authority, it is leased to Travis County, whose Parks Department has administered the park since 1985. Sometimes erroneously labeled as a beach, the park actually sits on a somewhat steep slope above Lake Travis with limestone steps that can be quite rugged in some spots. Depending on the water level of the lake, access to the water may require some rock climbing.

The Oasis on Lake Travis is a restaurant on the western edge of Austin, Texas. The restaurant promotes itself as the "Sunset Capital of Texas" with its terraced views looking West over Lake Travis. The thirty thousand square foot restaurant sits on a bluff 450 feet above the lake and is the largest outdoor restaurant in Texas. The restaurant was first built in 1982 by Houston entrepreneur Beau Theriot, who purchased a 500-acre (2.0 km2) ranch overlooking the lake and converted it into the current multi-use venue.On the morning of June 1, 2005, a lightning strike ignited a fire which consumed much of the property. Parts of the facility that were not damaged were reopened within weeks, while other parts were rebuilt.

KUTX (98.9 FM) is a non-commercial radio station licensed to Leander, Texas and serving the greater Austin, Texas area with an adult album alternative format. The station is owned by University of Texas at Austin with headquarters at the Belo Center for New Media (A0704) on the University of Texas at Austin campus.

Lakeway is a city in Travis County, Texas, United States. The population was 19,189 at the 2020 census; up from 11,391 in 2010. The city is located next to Lake Travis. It is an exurb in Greater Austin.

Concordia University Texas is a private, coeducational institution of liberal arts and sciences located in northwest Austin, in the U.S. state of Texas. The university offers undergraduate, graduate, and online degrees as well as an adult degree program for part-time and returning students. Concordia University Texas is affiliated with the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS) and is a member of the Concordia University System, the seven-member association of LCMS colleges and universities. As a Lutheran university, Concordia's stated mission is to develop Christian leaders.

Tom Glenn High School, commonly known as Glenn High School or simply GHS, is a high school located in Leander, Texas. It opened in the 2016–2017 school year as the sixth high school of Leander Independent School District. As of 2016, the school is the northern most high school in the district. The school (as of 2016) is the district's newest school, and the school started with freshmen and sophomores for the first school year.

Lago Vista High School is a public high school located in the city of Lago Vista, Texas, USA and classified as a 4A school by the UIL. It is a part of the Lago Vista Independent School District located in western Travis County. The High School serves all of Lago Vista, Point Venture, as well as portions of nearby Jonestown, Texas. The school district's current UIL Classification is 4A, Division 2. In 2015, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency.
