Canyon Creek is a residential neighborhood located in far northwest Austin, Texas. The neighborhood is located in ZIP Code 78726 and is bordered by Ranch to Market Road 2222 (RM 2222) on the south, Ranch to Market Road 620 (RM 620) on the west, Anderson Mill Road on the north, and a major headwater tributary of Bull Creek to the east as well as the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge. The major bisecting road is Boulder Lane, a loop which crosses RM 620 at the north and south entrances. The neighborhood is approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) from Lake Travis and Lake Austin. Canyon Creek was former ranch and hunting land, much of which was once a working cattle ranch owned by former US Congressman J. J. Pickle. It was developed by the Blanton Company in the wake of the savings and loan crisis in the United States in the late 1980s. Perry Blanton and his company envisioned and developed a completely planned community filled with homes, parks, and connecting trails. It contains significant protected habitat for the golden-cheeked warbler and black-capped vireo, two endangered bird species native to central Texas. The neighborhood developed rapidly in the 1990s, and was completely built out by 2005. In the mid-1990s, Round Rock Independent School District authorized the construction of Canyon Creek Elementary School in the neighborhood. In 2009 a lawsuit brought by Canyon Creek, Northwest Austin Municipal Utility District No. 1 v. Holder, regarding the relocation of a polling place, was heard before the Supreme Court of the United States

Tom Glenn High School, commonly known as Glenn High School or simply GHS, is a high school located in Leander, Texas. It opened in the 2016–2017 school year as the sixth high school of Leander Independent School District. As of 2016, the school is the northern most high school in the district. The school (as of 2016) is the district's newest school, and the school started with freshmen and sophomores for the first school year.

Vandegrift High School is a public high school in Austin, Texas. It educates students in grades 9-12 for the Leander Independent School District.

The station is owned by University of Texas at Austin with headquarters at the Belo Center for New Media (A0704) on the University of Texas at Austin campus.

The Oasis on Lake Travis is a restaurant on the western edge of Austin, Texas. The restaurant promotes itself as the "Sunset Capital of Texas" with its terraced views looking West over Lake Travis. The thirty thousand square foot restaurant sits on a bluff 450 feet above the lake and is the largest outdoor restaurant in Texas. The restaurant was first built in 1982 by Houston entrepreneur Beau Theriot, who purchased a 500-acre (2.0 km2) ranch overlooking the lake and converted it into the current multi-use venue.On the morning of June 1, 2005, a lightning strike ignited a fire which consumed much of the property. Parts of the facility that were not damaged were reopened within weeks, while other parts were rebuilt.

Anderson Mill is a neighborhood of Austin and a former census-designated place (CDP) in Travis and Williamson counties in the U.S. state of Texas. The population was 7,199 at the 2010 census.

Hill Country Christian School of Austin is a private, classical, college-preparatory Christian school for students in grades PK-12. It is located in northwest Austin, Texas. The school is a program of Hill Country Bible Church Austin and is housed at the church's Lakeline campus.

Hippie Hollow Park (originally known as McGregor County Park) is a park located on the shore of Lake Travis in northwest Austin. It is the only legally recognized clothing-optional public park in the State of Texas. Though the land is owned by the Lower Colorado River Authority, it is leased to Travis County, whose Parks Department has administered the park since 1985. Sometimes erroneously labeled as a beach, the park actually sits on a somewhat steep slope above Lake Travis with limestone steps that can be quite rugged in some spots. Depending on the water level of the lake, access to the water may require some rock climbing.

Westwood High School (abbreviated WHS) is a public, four-year secondary school in the Anderson Mill neighborhood, Austin, Texas, and is part of the Round Rock Independent School District. In 2013, Westwood was ranked the 57th best high school in the nation and the 8th best high school in Texas by Newsweek and The Daily Beast. Children at Risk ranked Westwood as the number 2 public high school in Austin in 2012. Westwood offers honors and Advanced Placement courses to all students and further houses a district level International Baccalaureate magnet program. This combination of honors, AP and IB courses supports not only a robust college matriculation rate but also imparts a college preparatory element to upper division courses. As of the 2012-2013 school year, the school had an enrollment of 2582 students and 162.34 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 15.9. In April 2022, there were 2,751 students enrolled at Westwood High School.

The Austin Aquarium is a for profit aquarium located in Austin, Texas, United States, that opened to the public December 12, 2013. The aquarium is owned and operated by Crysty Covino the wife of former owner Ammon Covino.

Lakeline Mall is a super-regional shopping mall located in north Austin, Texas, at the intersection of RR 620 and US 183. Although the mall has a Cedar Park postal code, it is physically within the City of Austin. It has 1,099,420 square feet (102,139 m2) of gross leasable area. Construction was initially slated to begin in the 1980s but was stalled due to the savings and loan crisis and later stalled due to the discovery of two endangered species on the proposed site. Lakeline Mall opened on October 11, 1995. The anchor stores are Macy's, JCPenney, AMC Theatres, and Dillard's. There are 2 vacant anchor stores that were once Dillard's and Sears.
