Radstadion

SAP Garden is a planned 11,500-capacity indoor arena, to be built in Olympiapark, Munich. It is expected to be completed in 2022 at the earliest. The site will be built at the location of the former Radstadion which was demolished in 2015. It will become home ground for ice hockey team EHC Red Bull Munich and basketball team Bayern Munich. The venue will host several matches for the 2024 European Men's Handball Championship.

The Eisenbahnkaserne ("Railway Barracks") was a military barracks in Munich that existed from 1890 to 1976. The "Kasernement des Eisenbahnbataillons" (Kasernement of the Railway Battalion) was built in 1888 and 1889. It was located west of today's Olympiapark on Dachauer Straße, where the Bundeswehr Administration Centre is now located.

With an original capacity of 77,000 for the Olympics, the stadium also hosted many major football matches including the 1974 FIFA World Cup Final, 75,000 seats, and the UEFA Euro 1988 Final. It hosted the European Cup Finals in 1979, 1993 and 1997. Its current capacity is 69,250. It has 11,800 standing places and 57,450 seats.Until the construction of Allianz Arena for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the stadium was home to FC Bayern Munich and TSV 1860 Munich. Unlike the Olympiastadion, the new stadium was purpose-built for football alone.

At the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, 38 events in athletics were contested, 24 for men and 14 for women. There were a total number of 1324 participating athletes from 104 countries.

It includes a contemporary carillon. The Park is administered by Olympiapark München GmbH, a holding company fully owned by the state capital of Munich.

Olympiahalle is a multi-purpose arena located in Am Riesenfeld in Munich, Germany, part of Olympiapark. The arena is used for concerts, sporting events, exhibitions or trade fairs. The official seating capacity for the arena varies from some 12,500 to 15,500.

Dantebad is an aquatics venue located in the greater Munich, Germany area. During the 1972 Summer Olympics, it hosted preliminaries for the water polo competition. The venue was considered as host for the swimming and diving competition when Munich was awarded the games in 1966, but was not up to standards for FINA who only allowed those competitions to be indoors.

The Zentrale Hochschulsportanlage (ZHS) is with 125.000 Students and over 17.000 active participants each semester the biggest university sports facility in Germany. The 45 ha area lies at the Olympiapark in Milbertshofen-Am Hart in Munich and could be reached by U-Bahnhof Oberwiesenfeld or U-Bahnhof Olympiazentrum. Members can use the Oberschleißheim Regatta Course for rowing. The TUM Department of Sport and Health Sciences is located here.

The Olympia Schwimmhalle is an aquatics centre located in the Olympiapark in Munich, Germany. It hosted the swimming, diving, water polo, and the swimming part of the modern pentathlon events at the 1972 Summer Olympics. At the 1972 Olympics, the stadium had a 9000-seat capacity which was reduced to 1,500 soon after. During the 1972 Olympics, the Olympic Records in all 29 Olympic swimming events were broken as well as the World Records in 20 events.The Schwimmhalle is unique for its roof construction, which is a lightweight stressed-skin structure. This curved structure bears loads through tension only, not compression. The double curvature in the roof design provides the support, which is further stabilized through pretensioned guy wires. The Olympia Schwimmhalle is where swimmer Mark Spitz broke the record for most individual gold medals won in a single Olympics with seven gold medals. This record was not surpassed until fellow swimmer Michael Phelps won eight gold medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Leonrodplatz is a square in the Munich district of Neuhausen. It was named in 1927 after the former Bavarian Minister of Justice Leopold von Leonrod.
