Eisenbahnkaserne

Leonrodplatz is a square in the Munich district of Neuhausen. It was named in 1927 after the former Bavarian Minister of Justice Leopold von Leonrod.

Radstadion was a velodrome located in Olympiapark in Munich, Germany. They hosted the track portion of the cycling competitions for the 1972 Summer Olympics. The track was 285.714 metres (937 ft 5 in) long by 7 metres (23 ft) wide with banking that varied between 11.56 and 48.32 degrees.

SAP Garden is a planned 11,500-capacity indoor arena, to be built in Olympiapark, Munich. It is expected to be completed in 2022 at the earliest. The site will be built at the location of the former Radstadion which was demolished in 2015. It will become home ground for ice hockey team EHC Red Bull Munich and basketball team Bayern Munich. The venue will host several matches for the 2024 European Men's Handball Championship.

The Institute of Contemporary History (Institut für Zeitgeschichte) in Munich was conceived in 1947 under the name Deutsches Institut für Geschichte der nationalsozialistischen Zeit ("German Institute of the History of the National Socialist Era"). Founded by the German government and the State of Bavaria at the suggestion of the Allied Forces, it was established in 1949 and renamed in 1952. Its purpose is the analysis of contemporary German history.

The Maximilian-II-Kaserne respectively Max-II-Kaserne was a military facility in Munich, Germany, which was completed in 1865. The kaserne was named after Maximilian II of Bavaria. The barracks were the largest ones that have ever been built in Munich. They were primarily used by some field artillery regiments and the 1st Train Detachment of the Bavarian army. Between the World Wars the barracks were used by the Bavarian State Police, and in Nazi Germany by the Kraftfahr-Ersatz-Abteilung 7 (Motor Reserve Detachment 7) and by the Kraftfahr-Ausbildungs-Abteilung 7 (Motor Training Detachment 7). The symmetrical main building with its 600 meters width was planned by the architect M. Berger, and some facades were designed by Eduard Riedel. The facility was destroyed in the Second World War.

The Olympiapark (English: Olympic Park) in Munich, Germany, is an Olympic Park which was constructed for the 1972 Summer Olympics. Located in the Oberwiesenfeld neighborhood of Munich, the Park continues to serve as a venue for cultural, social, and religious events, such as events of worship. It includes a contemporary carillon. The Park is administered by Olympiapark München GmbH, a holding company fully owned by the state capital of Munich.

The Luitpoldkaserne, originally Luftschifferkaserne, was a kaserne at Infanteriestraße 19 in Munich, Germany, which was built after 1896 to accommodate the air skippers unit of the Bavarian army, which was disposed in 1890.

Olympiastadion (German pronunciation: [ʔoˈlʏmpi̯aːˌʃtaːdi̯ɔn]) is a stadium located in Munich, Germany. Situated at the heart of the Olympiapark München in northern Munich, the stadium was built as the main venue for the 1972 Summer Olympics. With an original capacity of 77,000 for the Olympics, the stadium also hosted many major football matches including the 1974 FIFA World Cup Final, 75,000 seats, and the UEFA Euro 1988 Final. It hosted the European Cup Finals in 1979, 1993 and 1997. Its current capacity is 69,250. It has 11,800 standing places and 57,450 seats.Until the construction of Allianz Arena for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, the stadium was home to FC Bayern Munich and TSV 1860 Munich. Unlike the Olympiastadion, the new stadium was purpose-built for football alone.

At the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, 38 events in athletics were contested, 24 for men and 14 for women. There were a total number of 1324 participating athletes from 104 countries.
