Saugatuck River Railroad Bridge

Westport station (also informally known as Saugatuck station) is a commuter rail stop on the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line, located in Westport, Connecticut. It is located in the center of the Saugatuck section of town, a few miles south of downtown Westport, and is one of two stations serving Westport. The station was named Westport & Saugatuck in timetables of the New Haven Railroad and the early years of its corporate successor, Penn Central.

The Saugatuck River Bridge is a bridge in Connecticut carrying Route 136 over the Saugatuck River in Westport. The bridge, built in 1884, is the oldest surviving movable bridge in Connecticut and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The total length of the bridge is 87.5 metres (287 ft) with a deck width of 6.1 metres (20 ft) and a minimum vertical clearance of 2.1 metres (6.9 ft) above the river. The bridge carries an average of about 16,000 vehicles per day. In 2007, the bridge was named the William F. Cribari Memorial Bridge.

Saugatuck is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Westport, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the southwest part of the town, on both sides of the Saugatuck River, extending south to where it enters Long Island Sound. North of Interstate 95, it occupies just the west side of the Saugatuck and continues north as far as U.S. Route 1 (Post Road). It is bordered to the north by Westport Village (the town center) and to the west by the city of Norwalk. The CDP includes the communities of Owenoke and Saugatuck Shores, as well as the Metro-North Railroad Westport station. Saugatuck was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

The Saugatuck River is a 23.7-mile-long (38.1 km) river in southwestern Connecticut in the United States. It drains part of suburban and rural Fairfield County west of Bridgeport, emptying into Long Island Sound. USS Saugatuck, a U.S. Navy oiler that saw service in World War II, was named after the river.

The Bridge Street Historic District encompasses a largely residential stretch of Bridge Street (Connecticut Route 136) and adjacent Imperial Avenue in Westport, Connecticut. This area developed as a residential neighborhood in the 19th century, spurred in part by the 1869 construction of a bridge over the Saugatuck River (where the 1884 Saugatuck River Bridge now stands. The district includes a particularly fine collection of late 19th and early 20th century residential architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

The Allen House is a historic house at 4 Burritt's Landing North in Westport, Connecticut. Built in 1958, it is the only known example in Westport of work by Chicago architect Roy Binkley, Jr., and is a good example of Bauhaus-style mid-20th Century Modern architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Longshore Sailing School is a public club in Westport, Connecticut that teaches sailing and rents watercraft. It is "among the oldest and most renowned sailing programs in the country" and has earned "the country's most prestigious sail training awards".Longshore was founded in 1960, by the Town of Westport Recreation Commission. In 1975. it changed to private operation . Longshore is located at the Longshore Club Park in Westport. It also operates Greenwich Community Sailing in association with the Old Greenwich Yacht Club in Greenwich, Connecticut .Longshore provides sailing courses for children from ages 8 through 16. It also offers Adult programs in sailing. The school's staff includes US Sailing Association certified instructors, Instructor Trainers and USCG licensed Masters.Longshore also has Connecticut licensing courses including personal watercraft and towing endorsementLongshore rents sailboats, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards to the public.

Compo is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Westport, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the south-central part of the town, lying between the Saugatuck River and the neighborhood of Saugatuck to the west, and Compo Cove, Sherwood Millpond, and the neighborhood of Greens Farms to the east. The CDP extends south to Compo Beach on Long Island Sound and north to U.S. Route 1 (Post Road). Interstate 95 crosses the middle of the CDP from east to west, with access from either Saugatuck or Greens Farms. Compo was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The Compo–Owenoke Historic District is in the southern part of the CDP.

The Compo–Owenoke Historic District encompasses an early 20th-century summer resort beach community in Westport, Connecticut. Developed between 1910 and 1940, the Compo Beach area contains one of the largest assemblages of period resort architecture in Westport, and one of the best such collections in the region. The district, covering 154 acres (62 ha) south of Compo Road South, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

Louis Micheels House was a single family home in Westport, Connecticut, designed in the style of the Sarasota School of Architecture by founder Paul Rudolph. Built in 1972, it was considered an example of Modern and Brutalist architecture. The home was commissioned by Louis Micheels, and it was razed in 2007.

Norwalk High School is a high school located in Norwalk, Connecticut, United States. It is the oldest high school in Norwalk, created in 1902, originally being housed in what is now Norwalk City Hall. The first graduating class for the current building was in 1975. The school mascot is a bear and the school colors are green and white. Its crosstown rival is Brien McMahon High School and the two schools compete annually in football on Thanksgiving day. The $4.2 million Shea-Magrath Sports Complex, which includes the astroturf Testa Field, sits just to the south of the school. It replaced Andrews Field, located 1/4 mile west of the school. The school is a member of the FCIAC athletic conference. The school also contains a theater, gymnasium, swimming pool, library, and cafeteria. The school is divided into five lettered houses (A, B, C, D, and E) with a housemaster in charge of students in his/her house. Norwalk High School also has a Science wing that was built in the mid-late 2000s. Students are assigned lockers, homerooms, and guidance counselors within their house. The NHS Bears girls' basketball team won the FCIAC championship in 1999, and then lost in the Class LL state championship in 1999. They then won another FCIAC championship in 2007, and won the Class LL state championship in 2019. The NHS Bears boys' soccer team won the 2002 FCIAC championship. They then advanced to the FCIAC championship and Class LL state championship in 2004. The NHS Bears boys' team won the 2012 FCIAC state championship, and played for the FCIAC championship again in 2021. The NHS Bears baseball team won the FCIAC championship in 2002. The NHS Bears outdoor track team won the FCIAC championship in 1967 and 1995. West Rocks Middle School and Nathan Hale Middle School feed into Norwalk High School.
