Louis Micheels House was a single family home in Westport, Connecticut, designed in the style of the Sarasota School of Architecture by founder Paul Rudolph. Built in 1972, it was considered an example of Modern and Brutalist architecture. The home was commissioned by Louis Micheels, and it was razed in 2007.

Compo is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Westport, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the south-central part of the town, lying between the Saugatuck River and the neighborhood of Saugatuck to the west, and Compo Cove, Sherwood Millpond, and the neighborhood of Greens Farms to the east. The CDP extends south to Compo Beach on Long Island Sound and north to U.S. Route 1 (Post Road). Interstate 95 crosses the middle of the CDP from east to west, with access from either Saugatuck or Greens Farms. Compo was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The Compo–Owenoke Historic District is in the southern part of the CDP.

The Bridge Street Historic District encompasses a largely residential stretch of Bridge Street (Connecticut Route 136) and adjacent Imperial Avenue in Westport, Connecticut. This area developed as a residential neighborhood in the 19th century, spurred in part by the 1869 construction of a bridge over the Saugatuck River (where the 1884 Saugatuck River Bridge now stands. The district includes a particularly fine collection of late 19th and early 20th century residential architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

The Compo–Owenoke Historic District encompasses an early 20th-century summer resort beach community in Westport, Connecticut. Developed between 1910 and 1940, the Compo Beach area contains one of the largest assemblages of period resort architecture in Westport, and one of the best such collections in the region. The district, covering 154 acres (62 ha) south of Compo Road South, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.

The Saugatuck River Railroad Bridge, also known as Saugatuck River Bridge, is a railroad bridge carrying trackage of Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line over the Saugatuck River in Westport, Connecticut. It is one of eight moveable bridges on the Amtrak Northeast Corridor route through Connecticut. It was built in 1905 for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. The bridge design is a single leaf Scherzer rolling lift bascule bridge.The bridge was surveyed in a multiple-property historic study in 1986. The eight bridges from west to east are: Mianus River Railroad Bridge at Cos Cob, built in 1904; Norwalk River Railroad Bridge at Norwalk, 1896; Saugatuck River Railroad Bridge at Westport, 1905; Pequonnock River Railroad Bridge at Bridgeport, 1902; Housatonic River Railroad Bridge, at Devon, 1905; Connecticut River Railroad Bridge, Old Saybrook-Old Lyme, 1907; Niantic River Bridge, East Lyme-Waterford, 1907; and Thames River Bridge, Groton, built in 1919.

The Saugatuck River Bridge is a bridge in Connecticut carrying Route 136 over the Saugatuck River in Westport. The bridge, built in 1884, is the oldest surviving movable bridge in Connecticut and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The total length of the bridge is 87.5 metres (287 ft) with a deck width of 6.1 metres (20 ft) and a minimum vertical clearance of 2.1 metres (6.9 ft) above the river. The bridge carries an average of about 16,000 vehicles per day. In 2007, the bridge was named the William F. Cribari Memorial Bridge.

Westport station (also informally known as Saugatuck station) is a commuter rail stop on the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line, located in Westport, Connecticut. It is located in the center of the Saugatuck section of town, a few miles south of downtown Westport, and is one of two stations serving Westport. The station was named Westport & Saugatuck in timetables of the New Haven Railroad and the early years of its corporate successor, Penn Central.

Westport is a town in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States, along the Long Island Sound within Connecticut's Gold Coast. It is 52 miles (84 km) northeast of New York City. The town had a population of 27,141 according to the 2020 U.S. Census.

The Saugatuck River is a 23.7-mile-long (38.1 km) river in southwestern Connecticut in the United States. It drains part of suburban and rural Fairfield County west of Bridgeport, emptying into Long Island Sound. USS Saugatuck, a U.S. Navy oiler that saw service in World War II, was named after the river.

Saugatuck is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Westport, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the southwest part of the town, on both sides of the Saugatuck River, extending south to where it enters Long Island Sound. North of Interstate 95, it occupies just the west side of the Saugatuck and continues north as far as U.S. Route 1 (Post Road). It is bordered to the north by Westport Village (the town center) and to the west by the city of Norwalk. The CDP includes the communities of Owenoke and Saugatuck Shores, as well as the Metro-North Railroad Westport station. Saugatuck was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

The Mill Cove Historic District is a 9-acre (3.6 ha) historic district in Westport, Connecticut, United States. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. It consists of a small group of cottages, 15 of which are contributing buildings, and other cottages and outbuildings. These well-preserved collection of Colonial Revival and Bungalow-style cottages were built between 1908 and 1940 on a barrier beach facing Long Island Sound, and are only accessible on foot. They are generally small in size and set on open lots, although some, like the house at 54 Compo Mill Cove, have a high hedge for privacy.

The Allen House is a historic house at 4 Burritt's Landing North in Westport, Connecticut. Built in 1958, it is the only known example in Westport of work by Chicago architect Roy Binkley, Jr., and is a good example of Bauhaus-style mid-20th Century Modern architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
