Joseph Lloyd House

The Seminary of the Immaculate Conception was a Catholic seminary in Lloyd Harbor, New York, accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada, and serving the Diocese of Rockville Centre. It offered a number of academic degrees, primarily those of Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.).

Fort Franklin was erected by the British in 1778, in present day Lloyd Harbor, New York, as part of a network of fortifications along the north shore of Long Island during the Revolutionary War, and named for Benjamin Franklin's Loyalist son, Sir William Franklin. It was raided in 1779, resulting in the capture of many of the Loyalist garrison, but not the fort itself. It was unsuccessfully attacked by French troops on July 13, 1781. At the end of the war, it became a refugee camp for Loyalists, then finally dismantled in 1783. The site, which became known as Fort Hill, is now the location of the historic Fort Hill Estate in Lloyd's Neck.

Fort Hill Estate is a historic estate located at Lloyd Harbor in Suffolk County, New York. The estate home is a monumental brick and limestone Tudor Revival style structure built as a summer home in 1879, and enlarged in 1900. It is a three-story mansion with an irregular, asymmetrical and sprawling plan which is roughly C-shaped. It features a conical tower built as part of the original structure, designed by McKim, Mead, and White. Also on the estate are a formal garden, a water tower, a superintendent's house, two garages, and a cottage.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve is a state park on Lloyd Neck, a peninsula extending into the Long Island Sound, in the Village of Lloyd Harbor, New York. It is operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. The 1,520-acre (6.2 km2) park covers the former Marshall Field III estate that was developed in the 1920s, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Much of the park is today managed as a nature preserve, with a focus on protecting high-quality bird habitat.

Cold Spring Harbor Light was a lighthouse located in Cold Spring Harbor on the north shore of New York's Long Island. It was built in 1890 to mark a shoal at the entrance to Cold Spring Harbor. After the lighthouse was deactivated in 1965, the original light and tower were purchased by a private individual and moved to its current location on land, one mile (1.6 km) to the southwest. An automated light tower and day beacon were erected on the original caisson, and continue to serve as a navigation aid.

Lloyd Harbor is a village in the Town of Huntington in Suffolk County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the village's population was 3,660.

Karpen House is a historic home located at Lloyd Harbor in Suffolk County, New York. It was built in 1955 and is a long, low residence surmounted by a flat roof with overhanging eaves. It represents a vernacular interpretation of the Modern style.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Sagamore Hill was the home of the 26th president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, from 1885 until his death in 1919. It is located in Cove Neck, New York, near Oyster Bay on the North Shore of Long Island, 25 miles (40 km) east of Manhattan. It is now the Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, which includes the Theodore Roosevelt Museum in a later building on the grounds.

Van Wyck-Lefferts Tide Mill ( van WYKE) is a historic tide mill located at Lloyd Harbor in Suffolk County, New York. It was built about 1793 and is a 3+1⁄2-story, gable-roofed, timber-framed rectangular building little altered since the early 19th century. The property also includes the earthen mill dam with sluice gates. The Nature Conservancy, which owns the mill, offers free boat tours to the site from May through October.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

The Congressman Lester Wolff Oyster Bay National Wildlife Refuge, formerly known as the Oyster Bay National Wildlife Refuge, on the north shore of Long Island, New York, consists of high-quality marine habitats that support a variety of aquatic-dependent wildlife. The refuge's waters and marshes surround Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, home of President Theodore Roosevelt. He is considered the founder of the National Wildlife Refuge System. Subtidal (underwater up to mean high tide line) habitats are abundant with marine invertebrates, shellfish and fish. Marine invertebrate and fish communities support a complex food web from waterfowl to fish-eating birds, to marine mammals. Waterfowl use of the Refuge peaks from October through April. Over 20,000 ducks have been documented on the refuge during one survey. Over 25 species of waterfowl, along with numerous other waterbirds, depend on Oyster Bay for survival. The most common marine mammals at the refuge are harbor seals, which have become more noticeable during recent years. Sea turtles and diamondback terrapins can also be sighted at the Refuge.

The Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club is one of the older yacht clubs in the Western Hemisphere, ranking 18th after the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron, New York Yacht Club, Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, Mobile Yacht Club, Pass Christian Yacht Club, Southern Yacht Club, Biloxi Yacht Club, Royal Canadian Yacht Club, Buffalo Yacht Club, Neenah Nodaway Yacht Club, Raritan Yacht Club, Detroit Boat Club Detroit Yacht Club, San Francisco Yacht Club, Portland Yacht Club, New Hamburg Yacht Club, Eastern Yacht Club, and Milwaukee Yacht Club. It is located in Centre Island, New York, with access to Long Island Sound.
