South Hackney

Chatham is a ward in the London Borough of Hackney and forms part of the Hackney South and Shoreditch constituency. The population of this ward at the 2011 Census was 13,232.

The Gravel Pit Chapel was established in 1715–1716 (1716) in Hackney, then just outside London, for a Nonconformist congregation, which by the early 19th century began to identify itself as Unitarian. In 1809 the congregation moved to the New Gravel Pit Chapel nearby, while its old premises were taken over by Congregationalists. The New Gravel Pit Chapel was closed and demolished in1969 (1969).

The Urswick School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form located in the Hackney Central area of the London Borough of Hackney, London.The school is named after Revd Christopher Urswick, Rector of Hackney from 1502 to 1522, and a close friend of King Henry VII and his mother, Lady Margaret Beaufort, a great benefactress of learning.

The ward returns three councillors to Borough Council, with an election every four years. At the previous election on 6 May 2010, Katie Hanson, Daniel Kemp, and Geoff Taylor, all Labour Party candidates, were returned.Victoria ward has a total population of 12,065, the most populated ward in the borough. This compares with the average ward population within the borough of 10,674. Turnout was 57%; with 5,362 votes cast. The population at the 2011 Census was 13,231

Homerton is a station on the North London line in the district of Homerton, East London. The station and all trains serving it are operated by London Overground. It is in London fare zone 2. The current station opened on 13 May 1985 to coincide with the introduction of the Richmond to North Woolwich through electric passenger service. The station is close to Homerton University Hospital and Hackney Marshes.

The City Academy, Hackney is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Homerton area of the London Borough of Hackney, England.The school was first opened in 2009 in a new building. The school is sponsored by the City of London Corporation and KPMG. Anna Sarchet is the current Academy Principal The City of London Corporation also sponsors City of London Academy Islington and City of London Academy, Southwark. City Academy, Hackney has a specialism in business and financial services, but includes the full range of subjects that are found in any state school. . The school is in the top 5 chart of the country and is aiming to be in top 3. The school opened a sixth form building in October 2016; they named it after the old principal (Mark Emmerson) " The Mark Emmerson Sixth Form Block ". The houses within the school represent that of the doors to the City Of London.

Sutton Place, is a small street in the London Borough of Hackney. It links Homerton High Street with St John's Church Gardens, in Hackney. The Georgian terrace of 1790–1806, is Grade II listed as a whole, together with the villas on the north side of the street which date from 1820, and is sited in the conservation area around the gardens of St John-at-Hackney. The street replaced Church Path, an historic path connecting the villages of Homerton and Hackney.

Sutton House is a Grade II* listed Tudor manor house in Homerton High Street, in Hackney and is in London Borough of Hackney, London, England. It is owned by the National Trust.

Homerton Baptist Church is an independent evangelical fellowship affiliated with the Association of Grace Baptist Churches (South East).

Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy is a coeducational secondary school located in the Victoria Park area of London, England, facing Well Street Common. It is the second school to be named under Mossbourne Academy. The school was created in 2014: the building formerly used by Cardinal Pole Roman Catholic School was first built to drawings by Robert Lewis Roumieu for the French Hospital (La Providence), which opened there in 1865. In the summer of 2019 the first cohort's GCSE results placed the academy in the top 65 schools in England for student progress. The school has two buildings: the Huguenot building and the Carroll building which is new and was officially opened in January 2015, It's current headteacher being Matthew Toothe. The school approaches it's behavioural policy in regards to a 'no excuses' attitude.

The A1205 is a road in east London which runs north to south parallel to the Regent's Canal and connects South Hackney and Victoria Park with the A13 at Limehouse. It is approximately 2 miles (3 km) in length, and runs in a roughly SSW direction.

Homerton University Hospital is a teaching hospital in Homerton in the London Borough of Hackney. It is managed by Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
