Homerton Baptist Church

Homerton is a station on the North London line in the district of Homerton, East London. The station and all trains serving it are operated by London Overground. It is in London fare zone 2. The current station opened on 13 May 1985 to coincide with the introduction of the Richmond to North Woolwich through electric passenger service. The station is close to Homerton University Hospital and Hackney Marshes.

Cardinal Pole Catholic School is a mixed, voluntary aided secondary school located in the Homerton area of the London Borough of Hackney, United Kingdom. Following the 'Building Schools for the Future' programme, all pupils (years 7-13) are housed in the same building on Morning Lane. It is named after Cardinal Reginald Pole, the last Roman Catholic Archbishop of Canterbury.

The Castle Cinema is an independent cinema based in the Homerton area of Hackney, London. The venue consists of an 82-seat main screen, a 27-seat secondary screen, as well as an Art Deco bar and restaurant that can accommodate up to 120 people.It was first opened in 1913, being described as one of London's original cinemas and operated as such up until 1958, before being used for various other purposes.A 2016 Kickstarter campaign successfully generated funding to renovate the building and reopen it as a working cinema, being officially launched to the public in February 2017.

South Hackney is an area of Hackney in London, England within the Borough of Hackney. It is about 4.2 miles (6.8 km) northeast of Charing Cross. The Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy on the corner of Victoria Park Road and Lammas Walk utilises the buildings of the former French Hospital (La Providence), a home for elderly Huguenots. The French Hospital was built in the 1860s in the style of a French-Flemish chateau, designed by Robert Lewis Roumieu. The area just south of Well Street features social housing such as the Kingshold and Shore Estates. The former New Kingshold Estate (built 1966, demolished 1996) was subject of a 1990 Channel 4 documentary Summer On The Estate highlighting some of the problems on the estate with crime and disrepair, and residents fight to improve it. A follow-up series aired in 1995 as the two tower blocks on the estate, Thornhill Point and Halston Point were demolished in July 1995.

Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy is a coeducational secondary school located in the Victoria Park area of London, England, facing Well Street Common. It is the second school to be named under Mossbourne Academy. The school was created in 2014: the building formerly used by Cardinal Pole Roman Catholic School was first built to drawings by Robert Lewis Roumieu for the French Hospital (La Providence), which opened there in 1865. In the summer of 2019 the first cohort's GCSE results placed the academy in the top 65 schools in England for student progress. The school has two buildings: the Huguenot building and the Carroll building which is new and was officially opened in January 2015, It's current headteacher being Matthew Toothe. The school approaches it's behavioural policy in regards to a 'no excuses' attitude.

London Borough of Jam is a boutique jam manufacturer, based in Hackney, London established in 2011. London Borough of Jam was established in 2011 by Lillie O’Brien, a former pastry chef at St John Bread & Wine. The company produces artisan jams in small batches such as "Greengage & Fennel Pollen" and "Rhubarb & Cardamom", using less sugar than mainstream brands. Other ingredients used include loganberries from Kent, home-grown rose geranium and lemon verbena. The jams are stocked by independent retails in Greater London and a small number of shops across the UK. They are also stocked at the Royal National Theatre Shop. The jams and other core products are also distributed to Singapore and Japan, and in 2018 O’Brien travelled to Japan for two weeks running workshops and making limited edition pots of Fig & Earl Grey jam only available in Japan.The company also operates a shop in Clapton, described in the London Evening Standard as a "dazzling and charming array of personally selected wares, in such a beautiful space" The shop sells magazines, homewares, speciality food and local spirits, with an emphasis on products produced in London. In 2018, O'Brien wrote the cookbook Five Seasons Of Jam detailing jam recipes for spring, summer, early autumn, late autumn and winter. The recipes focus on lesser known ingredients including: Anise Hyssop leaves, Loganberries, Tayberries, Lemon Balm leaves and stalks, Jostaberries, Red Gooseberries, and Liva Fragola Grapes.In 2020, during the pandemic, O'Brien put together the limited edition cookbook, First Wash Your Hands: Recipes from Friends, which compiled 120 recipes contributed by friends, with all proceeds going to the food charities Trussell Trust and the Young Leaders Fund.

Homerton ( HOM-ər-tən) is an area in London, England, in the London Borough of Hackney. It is bordered to the west by Hackney Central, to the north by Lower Clapton, in the east by Hackney Wick, Leyton and by South Hackney to the south. In 2019, it had a population of 14,658 people. In terms of ethnicity it was 43.9% White, 33.0% Black, 10.9% Asian and 7.8% Mixed. It covered an area of 0.830 sq kilometres. Homerton ward on Hackney Borough Council is currently represented by three Labour councillors. There are fifty listed buildings located within the boundaries of the ward.

The A1205 is a road in east London which runs north to south parallel to the Regent's Canal and connects South Hackney and Victoria Park with the A13 at Limehouse. It is approximately 2 miles (3 km) in length, and runs in a roughly SSW direction.
