Polish Aviation Museum

Kraków-Rakowice-Czyżyny Airport is a disused airport in Kraków, Poland, one of the oldest permanent airfields in Europe, open for occasional traffic by certain types of aircraft. A portion of it is now the site of the Polish Aviation Museum with a 720-metre long and 60-metre wide segment of the original concrete runway restored for use by the museum for light planes (to 7,500 kg) and helicopters.

Prądnik (also called Białucha in its lower course) is a river in Poland, running through the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland in Poland's Lesser Poland voivodeship. The river is a left tributary of Vistula. The source of the river lies in the village of Sułoszowa in the Olkusz Uplands. It flows in a deep gully through the Ojców National Park. The lower run in Kraków has been designated an ecological reserve on 17 December 2008. Until 1655, when Vistula changed its course in the vicinity of Kraków, Prądnik joined Vistula's old riverbed near what is now Blich Street. However, in modern times the lower run of the river is regulated and empties itself into the Vistula in the Kraków's borough of Dąbie. Apart from the official names, the river is variously known as Prątnik, Promnik, Sałaszówka or Sułoszówka. Prądnik passes through several towns and villages, giving names to some of them. The list includes Sułoszowa, Pieskowa Skała, Ojców, Prądnik Korzkiewski, Giebułtów, Januszowice, Pękowice and Zielonki, as well as Kraków's boroughs of Prądnik Biały, Prądnik Czerwony, Stare Miasto and Grzegórzki. The stream Sąspówka is a right tributary.

The Władysław Szafer Institute of Botany (Instytut Botaniki im. Władysława Szafera, Polish) in Kraków, Poland is a major European herbarium containing a collection of over 650,000 vascular plants, bryophytes, algae, fungi, lichens, and various plant fossils. The vascular plant specimens are primarily from Central Europe with a specialization in alpine plants. The bryophytes are Polish, Antarctic and subAntarctic, and East African. The fossil plants are largely Central European. Main publications include Acta Palaeobotanica, and the Polish Botanical Journal.The herbarium was established in the 1950s by professor of botany and paleobotany, Władysław Szafer, at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków.

The International Exhibition and Convention Centre EXPO Kraków is an exhibition and convention centre located in Kraków, Poland. It is the largest multi-purpose facility in the south of the country. It is owned and operated by Targi w Krakowie. It was opened on 14 May 2014. EXPO Kraków is designed to accommodate trade fairs, congresses, concerts, banquets, product presentations, theatre performances, fashion shows and sports events. The building has a total usable surface area of 13,000 square metres (140,000 sq ft) including two 12-metre (39 ft) high halls with a total capacity of 9,000 square metres (97,000 sq ft) and 12 module conference rooms.

Planty is one of the largest city parks in Kraków, Poland. It encircles the Stare Miasto (Old Town), where the Medieval city walls used to stand until the early 19th century. The historic Old Town is not to be confused with the Administrative District No. 1 Stare Miasto extending further east. The park has an area of 21 ha (52 acres) and a length of 4 km (2.5 mi). It consists of a chain of thirty smaller gardens designed in varied styles and adorned with numerous monuments and fountains. There are over twenty statues of noble historical figures in the park – monuments of Nicolaus Copernicus, Jan Matejko, queen Jadwiga and king Wladyslaw II Jagiello, just to name a few. There are also several plaques in the park commemorating, among others, Jan Dlugosz and Stanislaw Wyspianski.The park forms a scenic walkway popular with Cracovians. In summer, sprinkled with ponds and refreshment stalls, it is a cool and shady retreat from the nearby bustling streets.Most historic sites of the old Kraków are located inside the Planty-park-belt along the Royal Road (Polish: Droga Królewska) crossing the park from the medieval suburb of Kleparz – through Florian Gate – at the northern flank of the old city walls. The historic Wawel Castle at the Wawel Hill, adjacent to Vistula River meander, form the southernmost border of Planty.

Unity Tower (also known as Szkieletor, which means Skeletor) is a 102.5 metre high-rise building located in Kraków, Poland. Unity Tower is located near the Mogilskie Roundabout (Rondo Mogilskie) and Cracow University of Economics. It is the tallest building in Kraków. The construction work of Unity Centre was completed on 30 September 2020.
