Confucian Temple of Shanghai

Laoximen (simplified Chinese: 老西门; traditional Chinese: 老西門; pinyin: Lǎoxīmén) is an interchange station between Lines 8 and 10 of the Shanghai Metro. It began operation on December 29, 2007. The name of the station is derived from the Old West Gate (or Laoximen (老西门)) of the walled Chinese city. The station is located in Huangpu District, near the intersection of Middle Fuxing Road and South Xizang Road.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University (Chinese: 复旦大学附属妇产科医院), commonly known as the Red House Hospital (Chinese: 红房子医院), is a teaching hospital in Shanghai, China, affiliated with the Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University. It is rated Grade 3, Class A, the highest rating in the Chinese medical system. Founded in 1884 as Margaret Williamson Memorial Hospital for Women and Children, by Elizabeth Reifsnyder, it was the first hospital opened in Shanghai exclusively for the care of Chinese women and children. It was located on Siccawei Road in the Shanghai French Concession, outside the West Gate (Ximen) of the Chinese city (now in Huangpu District); for this reason, it was commonly known as the Ximen or West Gate Hospital (Chinese: 西門醫院). The nonsectarian missionary hospital was established by the Woman's Union Missionary Society. A second branch was opened in Yangpu District in 2009.

Nanshi District (simplified Chinese: 南市区; traditional Chinese: 南市區; pinyin: Nánshì Qū; lit. 'District of South City', was a district located in central Shanghai until its merger with Huangpu District, Shanghai on 13 June 2000. It had an area of 8.29 km2 (3.20 sq mi), of which 1.42 km2 (0.55 sq mi) was water, and population of 435,420 as of June 2000.

The Old City of Shanghai (Chinese: 上海老城厢; pinyin: Shànghăi Lăo Chéngxiāng; Shanghainese: Zånhae Lo Zenshian), also formerly known as the Chinese city, is the traditional urban core of Shanghai. Its boundary was formerly defined by a defensive wall. The Old City was the county seat for the old county of Shanghai. With the advent of foreign concessions in Shanghai, the Old City became just one part of Shanghai's urban core but continued for decades to be the seat of the Chinese authority in Shanghai. Notable features include the City God Temple which is located in the center of the Old City and is connected to the Yuyuan Garden. With the exception of two short sections, the walls were demolished in 1912, and a broad circular avenue built over the former wall and moat: the southern half was named the "Zhonghua Road" and the northern half the "Minguo Road" (together making up "Zhonghua Minguo", or "Republic of China" in Chinese). (The northern half was renamed "Renmin Road" ("People's Road") in 1950 by the new Communist government of Shanghai). The Old City was for decades essentially coterminous with the old Nanshi District, which is now part of Huangpu District.

Lujiabang Road (simplified Chinese: 陆家浜路; traditional Chinese: 陸家浜路; pinyin: Lùjiābāng Lù) is the name of an interchange station between Lines 8 and 9 on the Shanghai Metro network. It began operation on December 29, 2007. The station is located in Huangpu District, Shanghai.

The Xiaotaoyuan Mosque (simplified Chinese: 小桃园清真寺; traditional Chinese: 小桃園清真寺; pinyin: Xiǎotáoyuán Qīngzhēnsì), formerly known as Islamic Western Mosque or Shanghai Western Mosque, is a mosque in Huangpu District, Shanghai, China. It is the largest mosque in Shanghai.

The Dàjìng Gé Pavillon (上海古城墙和大境阁) is a museum and ancient temple of Shanghai, incorporating the last remaining portions of the walls of the Old City of Shanghai. Most of the walls were dismantled in 1912, and today only this portion remains.In 1959 the Dajing Ge Pavillon was listed as a cultural relic and put under municipal protection. It was renovated in 1995, and then opened to the public. The building houses a temple and a small museum with photographs of ancient Shanghai (上海老城厢史迹展).

Huizhong Church (Chinese: 惠中堂; pinyin: Huìzhōng táng) is a Protestant Christian place of worship in Huangpu, Shanghai. Originally founded by the Seventh Day Baptist Mission in 1904, it jointed general Protestant worship in 1958. It collapsed after the Cultural Revolution and was rebuilt in 1996.

The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea Memorial Hall (Korean: 대한민국 임시정부 유적지; Chinese: 大韩民国临时政府旧址) is a museum on the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea located in Shanghai, China. This building was one of several headquarters of that government in Shanghai. They used this one from 1926 to 1932.

Nanxiang Bun Shop (simplified Chinese: 南翔馒头店; traditional Chinese: 南翔饅頭店; pinyin: Nánxiáng Mántóu Diàn; Shanghainese: Nuezhion Meudoe Di) is a traditional Shanghai eatery located in the City God Temple precinct in the old Chinese section of the city. It was established in 1900. Nanxiang is a town near Shanghai where the xiaolong mantou was invented. The restaurant has more recently expanded internationally, with branches in South Korea and Japan.

The Shikumen Open House Museum (Chinese: 屋里厢-石库门博物馆; pinyin: Wūlixiāng-Shíkùmén Bówùguǎn; Shanghainese: Olishian-Sakumen Bovahgue) is a museum in the Xintiandi area of Shanghai, China (administratively in the Huangpu District) that presents a house in the traditional shikumen style.This is a small museum on the south side of the North Block of Xintiandi on Xingye Road that presents Shanghai life as it was around the 1920s and 30s in a shikumen-style "stone-gate" house. There are about five rooms furnished with period furniture. The museum includes a tingzijian, a small triangular room, sometimes rented out at a low price to impoverished writers and others.

The City God Temple or Temple of the City Gods (simplified Chinese: 上海城隍庙; traditional Chinese: 上海城隍廟; pinyin: Shànghǎi Chénghuángmiào; Shanghainese: Zånhae Zenwånmio), officially the City Temple of Shanghai, is a folk temple located in the old city of Shanghai. It commemorates the elevation of Shanghai to municipal status and is the site of the veneration of three Chinese figures honored as the city gods of the town. It is also known by some locals as the "Old City God Temple", in reference to a later "New City God Temple" which no longer exists.
