The Shikumen Open House Museum (Chinese: 屋里厢-石库门博物馆; pinyin: Wūlixiāng-Shíkùmén Bówùguǎn; Shanghainese: Olishian-Sakumen Bovahgue) is a museum in the Xintiandi area of Shanghai, China (administratively in the Huangpu District) that presents a house in the traditional shikumen style.This is a small museum on the south side of the North Block of Xintiandi on Xingye Road that presents Shanghai life as it was around the 1920s and 30s in a shikumen-style "stone-gate" house. There are about five rooms furnished with period furniture. The museum includes a tingzijian, a small triangular room, sometimes rented out at a low price to impoverished writers and others.

The Confucian Temple or Temple of Confucius of Shanghai (simplified Chinese: 上海文庙; traditional Chinese: 上海文廟; pinyin: Shànghǎi Wénmiào), is a folk Confucian temple in the old city of Shanghai. It is similar to the original temple of Confucius in his hometown Qufu and to the Beijing temple, but on a smaller scale. The temple is located on Wenmiao Road (文庙路) in Huangpu District. The Wenmiao Market lies around it. The market opens every Sunday morning and hosts a temple fair.

The Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea Memorial Hall (Korean: 대한민국 임시정부 유적지; Chinese: 大韩民国临时政府旧址) is a museum on the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea located in Shanghai, China. This building was one of several headquarters of that government in Shanghai. They used this one from 1926 to 1932.

Taipingqiao Park (Chinese: 太平桥公园; pinyin: Tàipíngqiāo Gōngyuán) is a park near Xintiandi in Shanghai, China. In the center of the park is a man-made lake called Taiping Lake (Chinese: 太平湖; pinyin: Tàipíng Hú).

Site of the First CPC National Congress · South Huangpi Road (simplified Chinese: 一大会址·黄陂南路; traditional Chinese: 一大會址·黃陂南路; pinyin: Yīdà Huìzhǐ Huángpí Nán Lù) is a station on Line 1 of the Shanghai Metro; it opened on 10 April 1995 as part of the section between Jinjiang Park and Shanghai Railway Station;On June 20 2021, to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party, the station name changed from South Huangpi Road Station to Site of the First CPC National Congress · South Huangpi Road Station.The station is situated within the Inner Ring Road and adjacent to Middle Huaihai Road, the major up-market shopping street in Shanghai. The neighbourhood in the vicinity was a residential district in the old French Concession. In recent years, the area was bought by a property developer and turned into an expensive restaurant district. Large-scale demolition has reduced the number of residents in the area, and replaced them with restaurants and large, Hong Kong-style shopping malls.

The Consulate General of Sweden is the diplomatic mission of Sweden in Shanghai. It is located in Huangpu district of Shanghai. The Swedish Consulate General in Shanghai today represents Sweden in East China, covering the city of Shanghai and the provinces of Jiangsu, Anhui, and Zhejiang. Officially reopened in September 1996, it reflects Sweden's strategic interest in engaging with one of China's fastest-growing regions. Historically, Sweden has maintained a presence in Shanghai since the 19th century, when the original consulate was established in 1863 during the Sweden–Norway union. The early consular mission focused on supporting trade and shipping, operating within the frameworks of European imperial influence in China. However, due to limited resources and internal conflicts, the consulate struggled to fully leverage East Asia's economic opportunities and was eventually closed in 1956 after a long period of transition. Today, the consulate employs 17 staff, including diplomats from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and personnel from the Swedish Migration Agency. Its responsibilities include promoting Swedish foreign policy and increasing awareness of Sweden, particularly in areas such as trade, culture, and education. A dedicated promotion team leads this effort. The consulate also handles civil law and consular services, such as passport issuance, and manages administrative matters like protocol, security, and property. In addition, a major function is migration services, where a seven-person team processes visas, work permits, and residency applications.

The Dàjìng Gé Pavillon (上海古城墙和大境阁) is a museum and ancient temple of Shanghai, incorporating the last remaining portions of the walls of the Old City of Shanghai. Most of the walls were dismantled in 1912, and today only this portion remains.In 1959 the Dajing Ge Pavillon was listed as a cultural relic and put under municipal protection. It was renovated in 1995, and then opened to the public. The building houses a temple and a small museum with photographs of ancient Shanghai (上海老城厢史迹展).

Lujiabang Road (simplified Chinese: 陆家浜路; traditional Chinese: 陸家浜路; pinyin: Lùjiābāng Lù) is the name of an interchange station between Lines 8 and 9 on the Shanghai Metro network. It began operation on December 29, 2007. The station is located in Huangpu District, Shanghai.

The Site of the First National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (Chinese: 中国共产党第一次全国代表大会会址) is now preserved as a museum in Shanghai, China. It is located in Xintiandi, on Xingye Road (formerly Rue Wantz, in the Shanghai French Concession). It is located in the historical shikumen buildings in which the 1st National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party took place during the month of July in 1921.The museum combines exhibits about the history of China, the history of the city of Shanghai, and the events surrounding the foundation of the Chinese Communist Party.

Nanshi District (simplified Chinese: 南市区; traditional Chinese: 南市區; pinyin: Nánshì Qū; lit. 'District of South City', was a district located in central Shanghai until its merger with Huangpu District, Shanghai on 13 June 2000. It had an area of 8.29 km2 (3.20 sq mi), of which 1.42 km2 (0.55 sq mi) was water, and population of 435,420 as of June 2000.

The Old City of Shanghai (Chinese: 上海老城厢; pinyin: Shànghăi Lăo Chéngxiāng; Shanghainese: Zånhae Lo Zenshian), also formerly known as the Chinese city, is the traditional urban core of Shanghai. Its boundary was formerly defined by a defensive wall. The Old City was the county seat for the old county of Shanghai. With the advent of foreign concessions in Shanghai, the Old City became just one part of Shanghai's urban core but continued for decades to be the seat of the Chinese authority in Shanghai. Notable features include the City God Temple which is located in the center of the Old City and is connected to the Yuyuan Garden. With the exception of two short sections, the walls were demolished in 1912, and a broad circular avenue built over the former wall and moat: the southern half was named the "Zhonghua Road" and the northern half the "Minguo Road" (together making up "Zhonghua Minguo", or "Republic of China" in Chinese). (The northern half was renamed "Renmin Road" ("People's Road") in 1950 by the new Communist government of Shanghai). The Old City was for decades essentially coterminous with the old Nanshi District, which is now part of Huangpu District.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University (Chinese: 复旦大学附属妇产科医院), commonly known as the Red House Hospital (Chinese: 红房子医院), is a teaching hospital in Shanghai, China, affiliated with the Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University. It is rated Grade 3, Class A, the highest rating in the Chinese medical system. Founded in 1884 as Margaret Williamson Memorial Hospital for Women and Children, by Elizabeth Reifsnyder, it was the first hospital opened in Shanghai exclusively for the care of Chinese women and children. It was located on Siccawei Road in the Shanghai French Concession, outside the West Gate (Ximen) of the Chinese city (now in Huangpu District); for this reason, it was commonly known as the Ximen or West Gate Hospital (Chinese: 西門醫院). The nonsectarian missionary hospital was established by the Woman's Union Missionary Society. A second branch was opened in Yangpu District in 2009.
