Nödinge-Nol

Nödinge Church (Swedish: Nödinge kyrka) is a church in Nödinge-Nol in Västergötland, Sweden, about 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Gothenburg. The current church was built in 1727, replacing an older Romanesque church from the 12th or 13th century. The church has a fine baroque interior, with ceiling paintings by master painter Alexander Fox added in 1734. The pulpit was added in 1741 by the sculptor Johan Petter Weber. It underwent extensive renovation in 1981-1982.The church has been used, among other things, for the filming of the 2013 movie The Anderssons Hit the Road.

Nol Church (Swedish: Nols kyrka) is a church in Nödinge-Nol, Västergötland, Sweden. It belongs to the parish of Starrkärr-Kilanda in the Diocese of Gothenburg. The church was built in 1987 by the architect Kjell Malmqvist, replacing an old mission building. The church bell was cast at the Bergholtz bell foundry in Sigtuna. The stained-glass windows in the chancel are by Roland Andersson, and the textiles in the church were woven by Christina Westman in Gothenburg. The organ was purchased in 1989 from King's Gymnasium in Stockholm, but was sold in 1999 to the Diocese of Skara and was replaced with an Ahlborn digital organ.

Ale Municipality (Ale kommun) is a municipality in Västra Götaland County in western Sweden. Its seat is located in the town of Nödinge-Nol, more precisely in Alafors at 57°55′33″N 12°5′1″E Ale Municipality was created in 1974, when the former municipalities of Nödinge, Skepplanda and Starrkärr were amalgamated. The new entity got its name from the old Ale Hundred, which had approximately the same territory. It built one of the first indoor bandy arenas in Sweden (and subsequently in the world), which was the first in Götaland, located in Bohuslän.

Alafors is a town and the seat of the municipality of Ale Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. Today it is considered part of Nödinge-Nol, a northeastern neighborhood. It is located off the E45, about 30 km north of Gothenburg and approximately 1 km from the east bank of the Göta River. In 1970 the town grew up with the railroad town Nol and 1990 with Nödinge, which today form an urban area, Nödinge-Nol. Alafors contains the Ale municipal building, whose facade has enamel artwork by Endre Nemes. There is a high school, park, Ahlafors IF football club which play at Furulundsparken, and a ski slope. A former spinning mill was located here which ceased operations in 1966. Swedish death metal group Eructation was formed in Alafors in 1988.

Ahlafors Bryggerier is a Swedish microbrewery located in Ale, Västra Götaland county. The beers can be found in a few restaurants and be bought through the order segment at Systembolaget (Västra Götaland County only). The alcohol by volume (ABV) range from 4.5% to 6.0%. The brewery also produces two kinds of cider: Ahlafors Päroncider (pear cider) and Ahlafors Flädercider (elder cider). The winning beers of the Swedish homebrewing championships between 2002 and 2005 were awarded to make one full-scale brewing at Ahlafors facilities: 2002: Simple stout (a dry stout) 2003: Macka (a Scottish ale) 2004: Kåtisbock (an eisbock) 2005: Russki imponerande stout (an imperial stout)Ahlafors Bryggerier offers guided tours and tastings at the brewery.

Diseröd is a locality situated in Kungälv Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 1,241 inhabitants in 2010.

Älvängen (earlier Elfängen) is a locality situated in Ale Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 4,196 inhabitants in 2010. It is located some 30 km (19 mi) north of Gothenburg. Among the churches of Älvängen are the Älvängen Church and the Starrkärr Church 4 km (2.5 mi).Älvängen was the hometown of the painter and writer Ivar Arosenius. The football player Pontus Dahlberg was born and raised in Älvängen. The P A Carlmarks rope factory was located to Älvängen. As of 2015, there is a museum in the old factory locals that shows the rope productions in the early beginning of the 20th century. The museum also produced the rope for the East Indiaman Götheborg.

The siege of Bohus fortress (1678) was a siege by Dano–Norwegian troops during the Scanian War. The siege was endured by the Swedish defenders for weeks before forcing a Dano–Norwegian retreat.

Bohus Fortress (also known as Baahus or Båhus, originally: Bágahús) lies along the old Norwegian–Swedish border in Kungälv, Bohuslän, Sweden, north east from Hisingen where the Göta river splits into two branches (20 km (12 mi) north of Gothenburg). It commands the surrounding area from a cliff 40 m (130 ft) high, with the river forming a natural moat around it.

Älvängen Church (Swedish: Älvängens kyrka) is a church in Älvängen, Västergötland, Sweden. It belongs to Skepplanda-Hålanda parish in the Diocese of Gothenburg. Älvängens Church is a modern church, built in 1970 by architect T. Hansson and manufactured by Öresjö sektionshus. In 1982 it was extended under Kjell Malmqvist, during which a bell tower was added at the side of the church. The clock in the bell tower was cast at the Bergholtz bell foundry in Sigtuna. The following year the church was reopened. The altarpiece of wood was painted by Harry W. Smith. The textiles in the church were made by Christina Westman in Gothenburg. The original organ, a Grönvalls, was inaugurated in 1977, but it was sold in 1999 and replaced with a digital organ of the brand Ahlbom.
