San Andres station

San Andres (also San Andres Bukid) is a district of Manila, Philippines. San Andres shares the Estero Tripa de Gallina as its western and northern border with the districts of Malate and Paco, respectively and Pedro Gil and Tejeron streets to the east with the district of Santa Ana. It borders the cities of Pasay and Makati in the south. The area is under the jurisdiction of the Fifth Congressional District of Manila, and includes the Manila South Cemetery, an exclave of the city surrounded by land administered by Makati.

President Elpidio Quirino Avenue, more commonly known as Quirino Avenue, is a 6-10 lane divided highway in Manila, Philippines. It runs for 3.6 kilometers (2.2 mi) in a northeast–southwest direction from Nagtahan Bridge (now Mabini Bridge) across from Santa Mesa in the north to Roxas Boulevard in Malate in the south. It passes through Paco and Pandacan districts where it also serves as a truck route between Port Area and South Luzon Expressway. North of Nagtahan Bridge, the road continues as Nagtahan Street. It is designated as part of Circumferential Road 2.

The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) (Filipino: Komisyon sa mga Pilipino sa Ibayong Dagat) is an agency of the government of the Philippines under the Office of the President of the Philippines. CFO was established on June 16, 1980, through the enactment of Batas Pambansa Blg. 79. The agency is responsible for promoting and upholding the interest of Filipino emigrants and Filipino permanent residents in other countries. It is also responsible for preserving and strengthening ties with Filipino communities outside the Philippines. It is headed by a Chairperson who is bestowed with a Cabinet rank of Secretary.

Paco station is a railway station located on the South Main Line in the city of Manila, Philippines. It was originally opened by the Manila Railroad Company in 1908 as a major hub in the southern half of Manila, where trains toward Cavite province once operated. The old train station building was designed by William E. Parsons and was completed in 1915. Prior to the electrification plan in the late 1970s, Paco was the southernmost double-track station on the line. The station eventually lost its significance in the following decades and only the façade remains intact with the interior in a state of decay after a 1996 demolition plan to give way for the construction of a shopping mall. A newer utilitarian platform area has been built for the PNR Metro Commuter Line behind the old station in 2009. Preservation efforts have been stated since 2015 with the construction of the North–South Commuter Railway.

Vito Cruz station is a railway station located on the South Main Line in the city of Manila, Philippines. The station derives its name from the former name of the adjacent now Pablo Ocampo Sr. Street, which is Vito Cruz Street, after a former alcalde mayor of Pineda (present-day Pasay). Vito Cruz is the eighth station from Tutuban and is the last station on the South Main Line physically located in the city of Manila.

Metropolitan Manila (Filipino: Kalakhang Maynila), formally the National Capital Region (NCR; Filipino: Pambansang Punong Rehiyon) and commonly called Metro Manila, is the capital region and largest metropolitan area of the Philippines. It is the second most populous and the most densely populated region in the Philippines. It is also the 9th most populous metropolitan area in Asia and the 6th most populous urban area in the world. The region is the center of culture (including arts and entertainment), economy, education and government of the Philippines. Designated as a global power city, the region exerts a significant impact on commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment, both locally and internationally. It is the home to all embassies in the Philippines, thereby making it an important center for international diplomacy in the country. Its economic power makes the region the country's premier center for finance and commerce. The region accounts for 36% of the gross domestic product (GDP) of the Philippines. Greater Manila is ASEAN fourth largest economy after Singapore, Jakarta and Bangkok. The metropolis was established in 1975 through Presidential Decree No. 824 in response to the needs to sustain the growing population and for the creation for the center of political power and the seat of the government of the Philippines. The Province of Manila, the predecessor entity of the region, is one of the first eight provinces that revolted against the Spanish colonial rule in the Philippines at the end of the 19th century. Manila's role in the Revolution is honoured in the flag of the Philippines, where the sun's eight rays symbolise the eight revolutionary provinces.

Zobel Roxas Street is an east-west street that forms the southeastern limit of the City of Manila, the northwestern city limit of Makati, and the northern city limit of Pasay, all in Metro Manila, Philippines. It stretches across western Metro Manila from F. Muñoz Street in the Singalong area of Malate to Tejeron Street at the district boundary of San Andres Bukid and Santa Ana. It has a short extension northeast of the Tejeron Street–J.P. Rizal Avenue junction as Del Pan Street. Zobel Roxas and other streets in the area (e.g., Alfonso, Consuelo, Enrique, Fernando, Jacobo, Don Pedro, C. Ayala and T. Ayala Streets) were named after members of the Róxas de Ayala and Zóbel de Ayala families, whose company, Ayala y Compañía, developed portions of Singalong and San Andres into residential areas in the 1930s. These areas were part of the vast Hacienda San Pedro de Macati which José Bonifacio Róxas purchased in 1851 and later developed into commercial and residential areas. Zobel Roxas was historically known as Casal Street.

Plaza Dilao is a public square in Paco, Manila, bounded by Quirino Avenue to the east, and the rest of the plaza surrounded by the Plaza Dilao Road and Quirino Avenue Extension. The former site of a Spanish colonial era Japanese settlement, it prominently features a memorial commemorating Japanese Roman Catholic kirishitan daimyō Dom Justo Takayama, who settled there in 1615. It is one of two open public spaces in Paco, the other being Paco Park. Currently, Plaza Dilao is one of five freedom parks in the City of Manila, where protests and rallies may be held without requiring permission from local authorities.

The Apostolic Nunciature in the Philippines is a top-level diplomatic mission assigned by the Holy See to the Philippines, located at 2140 Taft Avenue, Malate, Manila. Diplomatically, an Apostolic Nuncio may be equivalent to an ambassador, and often carries the ecclesial title of archbishop. The nuncio works closely with the Archdiocese of Manila, and is by custom the doyen of the diplomatic corps.

Paco Catholic School is a co-institutional private school. The school is located in the district of Paco in the City of Manila, Philippines. Paco Catholic school started in 1912 as an informal class for a handful of young boys inside the chapel in the Peñafrancia section of the district by Raymond Esquenet. It is the largest parochial school in the Philippines and now serving approximately 5,000 students.It actively participates, and sometimes host, many inter-school competitions. Students from the grade school department were the grand champion in the Junior Pinoy Henyo.

Quirino station is an elevated Light Rail Transit (LRT) station located on the LRT Line 1 (LRT-1) system in Malate, Manila. It is situated at the meeting point of Taft Avenue, Quirino Avenue, and San Andres Street. The station is named after Quirino Avenue, which is in turn named after former president Elpidio Quirino. Quirino station is the sixth station for trains headed to Fernando Poe Jr., and the fifteenth station for trains headed to Baclaran.

The College of the Immaculate Conception of Concordia (Spanish: Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepcion de la Concordia) commonly known as Concordia College Manila is a private Catholic basic and higher education institution run by Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul in Paco, Manila, in the Philippines. The college was founded in 1868. The institution is affiliated with DC-SLMES (St. Louise de Marillac Educational System).
