The Province of Brabant (, US also , Dutch: [ˈbraːbɑnt] ) was a province in Belgium from 1830 to 1995. It was created in 1815 as South Brabant, part of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands. In 1995, it was split into the Dutch-speaking Flemish Brabant, the French-speaking Walloon Brabant and the bilingual Brussels-Capital Region.

The Pécrot rail crash was a rail accident in the village of Pécrot (part of the municipality of Grez-Doiceau), Belgium, that occurred on 27 March 2001 when two passenger trains collided head-on. The crash left 8 dead and 12 injured and was Belgium's worst rail disaster in a quarter of a century.

Ottenburg is a village in the municipality of Huldenberg in the Flemish part of Belgium in the province of Flemish Brabant close to the language border.

Zeebroeck Castle is a castle in Nethen, Wallonia in the municipality of Grez-Doiceau, in the province of Walloon Brabant, Belgium.

Huldenberg (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦʏldə(m)bɛr(ə)x]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns and villages of Huldenberg proper, Loonbeek, Neerijse, Ottenburg and Sint-Agatha-Rode. On January 1, 2011, Huldenberg had a total population of 9,464. The total area is 39.64 km² which gives a population density of 230 inhabitants per km². It is the seat of the Belgian branch of the House of Limburg-Stirum. It has a football club called VK Huldenberg, which was created from a fusion of the clubs FC Huldenberg and VK Rode.Every Tuesday there is a market from 8h - 13h. This market is located at the Gemeenteplein, near town hall. At the end of WW II, Mary Churchill, daughter of the British prime minister, was a member of a British all-women anti-aircraft battery 481 that was stationed at Huldenberg for three months. She was entertained by the then burgomaster of Huldenberg, Count Thierry de Limburg Stirum and his wife Marie, née Princess of Croÿ. She noted that she found the local people very friendly and helpful and stated ("somewhat priggishly" she admitted) "...the flouting by all of and sundry of whatever regulations existed here, and the wide-spread use of the flourishing 'black market'. This had been regarded as almost a 'patriotic duty' during the occupation, but it was still going on now - apparently unrestrained."

Korbeek-Dijle is a village in the Belgian province Flemish Brabant and is part of the municipality of Bertem. Korbeek-Dijle is known because of its church, the Sint-Bartholomeuschurch (constructed in 1860). This church has been renovated in 1988-89. Inside the church is a nice retable from 1522. It was created in a studio from Brussels and the side panels were painted by the artist Jan Vanden Couteren from Leuven. On these side panels you can find the history of the holy Stefanus, martyr. When the retable is closed, miraculous healings from the Middle Ages are visible. The Ruwaal-walk, a signposted walk brings you to the nicest views of the village and sunken lanes. This walk starts at the church.

Oud-Heverlee (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌʌu̯tˈɦeːvərleː]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the villages of Blanden, Haasrode, Oud-Heverlee proper, Sint-Joris-Weert and Vaalbeek. On January 1, 2018, Oud-Heverlee had a total population of 11,099. The total area is 31.14 km2 which gives a population density of 356 inhabitants per km2.

Vaalbeek is part of Oud-Heverlee in Flemish Brabant, Belgium. The municipality further comprises the villages of Blanden, Haasrode, Oud-Heverlee proper and Sint-Joris-Weert. On 1 January 2006, Vaalbeek had a total population of 363.

The Wavre radio transmitter is a facility for Fm, Dab+ and TV broadcasting near Wavre in Belgium. Formerly the mediumwave transmissions used a grounded 250-metre-high guyed mast. Furthermore, there was a backup mast for medium wave transmissions, which was 90 metres high. For shortwave broadcasting there were several directional antennas and a curtain antenna. For the FM/TV/DAB transmission a free-standing lattice tower with a height of 232 metres is used. This tower whose top is guyed at four horizontal crossbars similar to Grodno TV Tower replaces the mast used for FM/TV transmissions which fell during a storm on 13 October 1983.

The Stade Justin Peeters, (formerly the Justin Peeters Stadium) is a former football stadium located in Wavre near Brussels, Belgium and the former homeground of Racing Jet Wavre, that had come over the years to be found in the northeast of the city center under the significant address Avenue du Center Sportif. In 2021 the city converted it to a hockey field. From its dimensions, the stadium is more than roomy enough for a club that plays its home games before a nearly three-digit number of viewers, because it includes two lush stands on the sides, so that the lack of development behind the goals not go into further weight falls. To be exact, will be released only heavily Raised grandstand for the games, where you can sit down to fifteen rows of green seat shells without backrests. Meerdaal, also known as Meerdaalwoud and Meerdaalbos, is a woodland lying east of Brussels and south of Leuven, on the loess plateau of Brabant in central Belgium. The bigger part of it has most likely been continuously forested since the Middle Ages, but the archaeological record and geomorphology give evidence of a profound human influence, probably including agriculture, during the Roman era and the Iron Age.

Bertem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbɛrtɛm]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Bertem proper, Korbeek-Dijle and Leefdaal. On January 1, 2006, Bertem had a total population of 9,215. The total area is 29.75 km² which gives a population density of 310 inhabitants per km². The area is noted for its rural landscape, in particular the "Koeheide" and "Bertembos" ("Bertem Forest"). On the open plains of Leefdaal, it is possible to see the endangered European Hamster (Cricetus cricetus)). The village of Bertem itself is home to the Sint-Pieters-Bandenkerk, a romanesque church built between 950 and 1050. Known cyclist Vlad van Mechelen is from there.
