Wavre (French pronunciation: [wavʁ] ; Dutch: Waver, Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋaːvər] ; Walloon: Wåve) is a city and municipality of Wallonia, capital of the province of Walloon Brabant, Belgium. Wavre is in the Dyle valley. Most inhabitants speak French as their mother tongue and are called "Wavriens" and "Wavriennes". The municipality consist of the following sub-municipalities: Bierges, Limal, and Wavre. Wavre is also called "the City of the Maca", referring to the statue of the small boy trying to climb the wall of the city hall. Tradition holds that touching the Maca's buttocks brings a year of luck.

Ottenburg is a village in the municipality of Huldenberg in the Flemish part of Belgium in the province of Flemish Brabant close to the language border.

Huldenberg (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦʏldə(m)bɛr(ə)x]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns and villages of Huldenberg proper, Loonbeek, Neerijse, Ottenburg and Sint-Agatha-Rode. On January 1, 2011, Huldenberg had a total population of 9,464. The total area is 39.64 km² which gives a population density of 230 inhabitants per km². It is the seat of the Belgian branch of the House of Limburg-Stirum. It has a football club called VK Huldenberg, which was created from a fusion of the clubs FC Huldenberg and VK Rode.Every Tuesday there is a market from 8h - 13h. This market is located at the Gemeenteplein, near town hall. At the end of WW II, Mary Churchill, daughter of the British prime minister, was a member of a British all-women anti-aircraft battery 481 that was stationed at Huldenberg for three months. She was entertained by the then burgomaster of Huldenberg, Count Thierry de Limburg Stirum and his wife Marie, née Princess of Croÿ. She noted that she found the local people very friendly and helpful and stated ("somewhat priggishly" she admitted) "...the flouting by all of and sundry of whatever regulations existed here, and the wide-spread use of the flourishing 'black market'. This had been regarded as almost a 'patriotic duty' during the occupation, but it was still going on now - apparently unrestrained."

The Stade Justin Peeters, (formerly the Justin Peeters Stadium) is a former football stadium located in Wavre near Brussels, Belgium and the former homeground of Racing Jet Wavre, that had come over the years to be found in the northeast of the city center under the significant address Avenue du Center Sportif. In 2021 the city converted it to a hockey field. From its dimensions, the stadium is more than roomy enough for a club that plays its home games before a nearly three-digit number of viewers, because it includes two lush stands on the sides, so that the lack of development behind the goals not go into further weight falls. Walibi Belgium is a 64-hectare (158.15 acres) theme park located in Wavre, Walloon Brabant, Wallonia, Belgium, close to the city of Brussels. It is one of the largest theme parks in Belgium; roughly 1.45 million visitors attended in 2018 (including to the adjacent waterpark Aqualibi). The park was originally called simply Walibi, followed by Walibi Wavre, before Six Flags took over and renamed the park Six Flags Belgium. The park’s current name was affixed in 2004. Between 1998 and 2004, Walibi was managed by Six Flags (and featured Warner Bros. media and intellectual property/IP), until Six Flags ultimately sold the park to Palamon Capital Partners, whom operated the park under their StarParks Group division. Just two years later, in 2006, Palamon sold the park to Compagnie des Alpes, whom have owned Walibi ever since. Walibi Belgium was the first park in the company’s chain of theme parks, and features “Walibi”, an anthropomorphic “wallaby” character as its mascot. Walibi can be seen in various advertisements and media, as well as a costume character greeting park guests and their kids. The original word “Walibi” is an abbreviated play-on-words, a ”mash-up” of the three local district names within the province of Walloon Brabant, where the park is located—Wavre, Limal and Bierges—with the acronym coming from Wavre, Limal and Bierges.

Kondaa is a steel roller coaster at Walibi Belgium in Wavre, Belgium. First unveiled at the IAAPA 2018 Expo, the coaster marks the end of a three-year park investment plan and upon opening became the tallest and fastest coaster in the Benelux region, as well as the park's ninth coaster. Kondaa features a top speed of 70.2 mph (113.0 km/h), a notable 15 airtime moments, and the world's first non-inverting cobra roll element.

Limal (French pronunciation: [limal]; Walloon: Nîmal) is a sub-municipality of the city of Wavre located in the province of Walloon Brabant, Wallonia, Belgium. It was a separate municipality until 1977. On 1 January 1977, it was merged into Wavre.

Sint-Agatha-Rode, named after the third-century Christian martyr Saint Agatha of Sicily, is a Dutch-speaking village in Belgian province of Flemish Brabant and lies within the district of the town of Huldenberg. Historically Sint-Agatha-Rode was an independent municipality (Gemeente) until the merger of Belgian municipalities in 1977 when it was joined to the town of Huldenberg. Sint-Agatha-Rode is located east of the town centre of Huldenberg, in the hills between the valleys of the river Dijle which is the eastern boundary of the Huldenberg district and the river Laan which is the western boundary. North of the town center of Sint Agatha-Rode the Laan joins the Dyle. The eastern boundary of the village is the language barrier with the Walloon villages of Nethen and Pecrot and to the south is the Flemish village of Ottenburg. Sint-Agatha-Rode has developed from being an agricultural village to become a rural residential town.

The Province of Brabant (, US also , Dutch: [ˈbraːbɑnt] ) was a province in Belgium from 1830 to 1995. It was created in 1815 as South Brabant, part of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands. In 1995, it was split into the Dutch-speaking Flemish Brabant, the French-speaking Walloon Brabant and the bilingual Brussels-Capital Region.
