Wavre (French pronunciation: [wavʁ] ; Dutch: Waver, Dutch pronunciation: [ˈʋaːvər] ; Walloon: Wåve) is a city and municipality of Wallonia, capital of the province of Walloon Brabant, Belgium. Wavre is in the Dyle valley. Most inhabitants speak French as their mother tongue and are called "Wavriens" and "Wavriennes". The municipality consist of the following sub-municipalities: Bierges, Limal, and Wavre. Wavre is also called "the City of the Maca", referring to the statue of the small boy trying to climb the wall of the city hall. Tradition holds that touching the Maca's buttocks brings a year of luck.

Ottenburg is a village in the municipality of Huldenberg in the Flemish part of Belgium in the province of Flemish Brabant close to the language border.

Walibi Belgium is a 64-hectare (158.15 acres) theme park located in Wavre, Walloon Brabant, Wallonia, Belgium, close to the city of Brussels. It is one of the largest theme parks in Belgium; roughly 1.45 million visitors attended in 2018 (including to the adjacent waterpark Aqualibi). The park was originally called simply Walibi, followed by Walibi Wavre, before Six Flags took over and renamed the park Six Flags Belgium. The park’s current name was affixed in 2004. Between 1998 and 2004, Walibi was managed by Six Flags (and featured Warner Bros. media and intellectual property/IP), until Six Flags ultimately sold the park to Palamon Capital Partners, whom operated the park under their StarParks Group division. Just two years later, in 2006, Palamon sold the park to Compagnie des Alpes, whom have owned Walibi ever since. Walibi Belgium was the first park in the company’s chain of theme parks, and features “Walibi”, an anthropomorphic “wallaby” character as its mascot. Walibi can be seen in various advertisements and media, as well as a costume character greeting park guests and their kids. The original word “Walibi” is an abbreviated play-on-words, a ”mash-up” of the three local district names within the province of Walloon Brabant, where the park is located—Wavre, Limal and Bierges—with the acronym coming from Wavre, Limal and Bierges.

Pulsar is a steel launched shuttle roller coaster at Walibi Belgium in Wavre, Belgium. It opened on 4 June 2016 as the first PowerSplash model by German manufacturer Mack Rides.

Tiki-Waka is a steel family roller coaster located at Walibi Belgium in Wavre, Belgium. The Polynesian-themed coaster opened for the 2018 season as the headlining attraction in the newly re-themed Exotic World area, and kickstarted a multi-year, €100,000 expansion plan.

Kondaa is a steel roller coaster at Walibi Belgium in Wavre, Belgium. First unveiled at the IAAPA 2018 Expo, the coaster marks the end of a three-year park investment plan and upon opening became the tallest and fastest coaster in the Benelux region, as well as the park's ninth coaster. Kondaa features a top speed of 70.2 mph (113.0 km/h), a notable 15 airtime moments, and the world's first non-inverting cobra roll element.

Bierges (French pronunciation: [bjɛʁʒ]; Walloon: Biedje) is a sub-municipality of the city of Wavre located in the province of Walloon Brabant, Wallonia, Belgium. It was a separate municipality until 1977. On 1 January 1977, it was merged into Wavre.

The Wavre radio transmitter is a facility for Fm, Dab+ and TV broadcasting near Wavre in Belgium. Formerly the mediumwave transmissions used a grounded 250-metre-high guyed mast. Furthermore, there was a backup mast for medium wave transmissions, which was 90 metres high. For shortwave broadcasting there were several directional antennas and a curtain antenna. For the FM/TV/DAB transmission a free-standing lattice tower with a height of 232 metres is used. This tower whose top is guyed at four horizontal crossbars similar to Grodno TV Tower replaces the mast used for FM/TV transmissions which fell during a storm on 13 October 1983.

The Musée Hergé, or Hergé Museum, is a museum in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, dedicated to the life and work of the Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi (1907–1983), who wrote under the pen name Hergé, creator of the series of comic albums, The Adventures of Tintin. The museum is located in the centre of Louvain-la-Neuve, on the edge of a green park, Le Parc de la Source. Its address is "Rue Labrador 26", Tintin's first home in the books. It was designed by the French architect Christian de Portzamparc, with interiors designed by the cartoonist Joost Swarte, and opened in June 2009. It consists of three floors with a total of nine exhibition rooms, a café, museum shop and mini cinema.

Limal (French pronunciation: [limal]; Walloon: Nîmal) is a sub-municipality of the city of Wavre located in the province of Walloon Brabant, Wallonia, Belgium. It was a separate municipality until 1977. On 1 January 1977, it was merged into Wavre.

Ottignies railway station (French: Gare d'Ottignies, Dutch: Station Ottignies) is a railway station in Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve, Walloon Brabant, Belgium.The station was opened in 1855 by the Grande Compagnie de Luxembourg, and from 1884, had a station building designed by the architect Charles Licot. This building was destroyed in 1996 and replaced by a new, modern and functional building inaugurated in 1999. In 2014, it was the second busiest station in Wallonia after Namur and before Liège-Guillemins, and the tenth-busiest in Belgium. Ottignies is an important station on the National Railway Company of Belgium (SNCB/NMBS) network. It is served by InterCity (IC), suburban (S), local (L), rush hour (P) and touristic (ICT) trains. The station is a keilbahnhof: it lies along railway line 161 (Brussels to Namur) and at the ends of railway lines 139 (Leuven to Ottignies) and 140 (Ottignies to Marcinelle). South of Ottignies, stroke line 161D goes to Louvain-la-Neuve.
