Wyong River

The Darkinjung (not to be confused with the Darkinyung people further inland) are the Local Aboriginal Land Council in the Central Coast, New South Wales, area of Australia and a major landowner on the Central Coast, participating in formal joint management of some areas of state forest in the region. It represents over 450 local Aboriginal residents. The Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council are self-appointed caretakers of the Central Coast of NSW Australia. They do not claim to be the traditional owners of the area in which they reside.The Darkinjung people are believed to have died out in the late 19th century due to the effects of disease and dispossession. Darkinjung Aboriginal Land Council represents the interests of the Aboriginal residents of the Darkinjung lands, but those Aboriginal residents come from other Aboriginal groups.

Yarramalong (cedar country) is a township and suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, located 20 kilometres (12 mi) upstream from Wyong along the Wyong River. It is part of the Central Coast Council local government area. The Yarramalong township has: Rural Fire Station, two cemeteries, public school (which closed down recently and is now used for community purposes), general store/petrol station, bottle shop/guest house and a hall which was originally an art hall but is now also used for community purposes. Busways now only operates a school bus service between Yarramalong and Wyong. It was acquired from Yarramalong Bus Lines in 2008.Yarramalong Valley is the home of many horse studs, turf farms, citrus crops as well as a macadamia nut farm and a lavender farm. The Great North Walk also passes through Yarramalong to Cedar Brush Creek to the north and Kulnura.

Central Coast Zoo & The Amazement Farm & Fun Park are conjoined privately owned zoos located at Wyong Creek, New South Wales, Australia, while the latter has been open for years, the 'Central Coast Zoo' is currently only open to private tours through phone-call or email bookings, however the zoo is expected to formally open officially to public visitation in 2023. Expected to be amongst the most popular animals to visitors are a pride of six (3 female & 3 male) former circus-kept African lions.

St Barnabas Anglican Church is a heritage-listed former Anglican church located at Yarramalong Road, Yarramalong, in the Central Coast, New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1889 by volunteer labour under supervision of James Bailey. The property is owned by the Central Coast Council. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Alison is a semi-rural suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, located on the north bank of the Wyong River 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) northwest of the regional centre of Wyong.
