Indiana State Soldiers Home Historic District is a historic Soldiers Home and national historic district located in Tippecanoe Township and Wabash Township, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. The district encompasses four contributing buildings on the campus of the former Soldiers Home. They are the Post Exchange, Commandant's House, Library Building (formerly the Commissary), and the Administration Building. Funding for the home was approved by the Indiana State Legislature in 1888, and building commenced in 1890. Most of the original buildings were demolished in the 1950s.: 2–3  The property continued to be administered by the Indiana Department of Veterans' Affairs as the Indiana Veterans’ HomeIt was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Wildcat Creek is a tributary of the Wabash River in north-central Indiana. The stream is 84 miles (135 km) long and drains an area of 804.2 square miles (2,083 km2). Wildcat Creek consists of three main forks-North, South, and Middle. All forks flow in a general east-west direction through varied topography and land uses, including cropland, pasture, forest and developed areas. The major tributaries of the Wildcat are the Little Wildcat Creek and the Kokomo Creek. This creek would be known as a river in most areas of the United States due to its width. At its mouth, the estimated mean annual discharge of Wildcat Creek is 817.79 cubic feet per second (23.157 m3/s), according to the US Environmental Protection Agency.In November 1812, an American military force was defeated in the Battle of Wild Cat Creek, sometimes known as "Spur's Defeat".The Wildcat travels through Greentown, Kokomo and Burlington before joining the Wabash River near Lafayette. Just west of Greentown, the creek becomes the Kokomo Reservoir. The Wildcat Guardians, a private environmental/recreational organization, works to keep the creek free of litter and debris.Wildcat Creek is also a Group 5 waterway below dams in Kokomo, and due to high mercury and PCB content, fish are not to be consumed west of the dam.In February 2014, the Wildcat Creek was featured on CBS Evening News for its ice dam jams, because of the frigid winter season.

Happy Hollow Heights Historic District is a national historic district located at West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. The district encompasses 54 contributing buildings in a predominantly planned residential section of Lafayette, platted in 1953 and expanded in 1958. It developed between about 1953 and 1967 and includes representative examples of Ranch, Modern, and Split-level style architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Curtis–Grace House, also known as the Roy and Leona Curtis House and Richard and Connie Grace House, is a historic home located at West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. It was built in 1958, and is a two-story, banked, post-and-beam Modern Movement style dwelling, with a broad, low-pitched offset gable roof. It is constructed of concrete block, redwood, natural stone, and plate glass. The overall dimensions are approximately 82 feet by 23 feet. The surrounding landscaped property is a contributing site.: 3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Battle Ground is a town in Tippecanoe Township, Tippecanoe County in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 1,334 at the 2010 census. It is near the site of the Battle of Tippecanoe. Battle Ground is part of the Lafayette, Indiana, Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Franciscan Health Lafayette Central is no longer a hospital, but houses Franciscan Health Community Education, various medical offices and the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing (the only hospital-based nursing school in the state of Indiana). Franciscan Health Lafayette Central, previously known as St. Elizabeth Central, was a 155-bed hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, United States, and part of the Franciscan Health hospital system. Previously known as the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, the hospital was renamed in 2009 during the construction of St. Elizabeth East. In the 1980s it was known as St. Elizabeth Hospital.

William Henry Harrison High School (HHS) is a four-year public high school in Tippecanoe County, Indiana near West Lafayette. The school is part of the Tippecanoe School Corporation.

Park Mary Historic District is a national historic district located at Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. The district encompasses 106 contributing buildings and 1 contributing structure in a predominantly residential section of Lafayette. It developed between about 1853 and 1950 and includes representative examples of Italianate, Queen Anne, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. Notable contributing buildings include the Thomas Hull House (1870), Fry House (1873), Perrin House (1868), Fletmeyer House (1881), Keipner House (1885), Behm House (1858), Greagor House (1873), Ulrick House, John and William Levering House (1858), Sawyer House (1868), Lafayette Christian Reformed Church (1929), Lincoln School (1923), and Lafayette Armory (1927).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Waldron–Beck House and Carriage House is a historic home and carriage house located at Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. The house was built in 1877, and is a two-story, irregularly shaped Italianate style brick dwelling, with a rear service wing. It sits on a stone foundation and has a multi-hipped roof with bracketed cornice. It features a three-sided, two-story projecting bay. The carriage house is a two-story, three bay brick building. It has a hipped roof with cupola and a bracketed cornice.: 2–3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

West Lafayette Junior-Senior High School (also informally known as West Side High School or simply West Side) is the only high school within the West Lafayette city limits, and is administered by the West Lafayette Community School Corporation. West Lafayette Junior-Senior High School was constructed in 1939 of cream brick and glass at a cost of $225,000, and was remodeled in the late 1990s. The school is located near Purdue University, and the children of many Purdue faculty and staff attend West Side. In 2012, the school was ranked as the 2nd and 4th best public high school in Indiana by U.S. News & World Report and Newsweek, respectively. As of 2021, the high school was ranked in U.S. News & World Report as 2nd in Indiana and 239th nationwide.

Spensa Technologies was a private company based in the Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette, Indiana that specialized in precision agriculture. The company, founded in 2009, was known for its ag-related technology, including automated pest sensors and software. It was acquired in April 2018 by DTN.
