West Lafayette Community School Corporation

Chauncey–Stadium Avenues Historic District, also known as the West Lafayette Historic District, is a national historic district located at West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. The district encompasses 644 contributing buildings in a predominantly residential section of Lafayette. It developed between about 1890 and 1952 and includes representative examples of Queen Anne, Shingle style, Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

West Lafayette Junior-Senior High School (also informally known as West Side High School or simply West Side) is the only high school within the West Lafayette city limits, and is administered by the West Lafayette Community School Corporation. West Lafayette Junior-Senior High School was constructed in 1939 of cream brick and glass at a cost of $225,000, and was remodeled in the late 1990s. The school is located near Purdue University, and the children of many Purdue faculty and staff attend West Side. In 2012, the school was ranked as the 2nd and 4th best public high school in Indiana by U.S. News & World Report and Newsweek, respectively. As of 2021, the high school was ranked in U.S. News & World Report as 2nd in Indiana and 239th nationwide.

Happy Hollow Heights Historic District is a national historic district located at West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. The district encompasses 54 contributing buildings in a predominantly planned residential section of Lafayette, platted in 1953 and expanded in 1958. It developed between about 1953 and 1967 and includes representative examples of Ranch, Modern, and Split-level style architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Hills and Dales Historic District is a national historic district located at West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. The district encompasses 136 contributing buildings and 39 noncontributing buildings in a predominantly residential section of Lafayette, platted in 1922–1924. It developed between about 1911 and 1951 and includes representative examples of Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, French Renaissance, and Ranch style architecture. Notable contributing buildings include the Haniford House (1911, 1919), Herbert Graves House, (c. 1938–1939), and Marion J. Eaton House (c. 1940–1941).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Curtis–Grace House, also known as the Roy and Leona Curtis House and Richard and Connie Grace House, is a historic home located at West Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana. It was built in 1958, and is a two-story, banked, post-and-beam Modern Movement style dwelling, with a broad, low-pitched offset gable roof. It is constructed of concrete block, redwood, natural stone, and plate glass. The overall dimensions are approximately 82 feet by 23 feet. The surrounding landscaped property is a contributing site.: 3 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

The Purdue University Reactor Number One (PUR-1) is a research reactor in West Lafayette, Indiana, United States. It is used primarily for teaching purposes in Purdue University's School of Nuclear Engineering. Built in 1962, the PUR-1 is the only nuclear reactor operating in the US state of Indiana. It was the second reactor installed in Indiana, and was the first critical reactor, after a sub-critical reactor was installed at Valparaiso University in 1958.

The Purdue University School of Aeronautics and Astronautics is Purdue University's school of aerospace engineering contained within the Purdue University College of Engineering. The school offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in aeronautical and astronautical engineering. It also provides distance graduate education, including an online M.S. in Engineering with concentration in Aeronautics and Astronautics, and a distance Ph.D. Its main office and some of its labs are located in the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering. As of 2010, the School has awarded an estimated 6% of BS degrees and 7% of PhDs in aerospace engineering in the United States.

The School of Mechanical Engineering (ME) is the oldest academic unit at Purdue University College of Engineering. The School of ME offers both an undergraduate B.S. degree as well as M.S. and PhD graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering. The school enrolls over 2,000 undergraduates (sophomores through seniors) and over 1,000 graduate students. U.S. News & World Report ranks Purdue's Mechanical Engineering 6th at the Undergraduate level [America's Best Colleges 2024] and 9th at the Graduate level [America's Best Graduate Schools 2024]. The Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) is the largest academic unit at Purdue University College of Engineering. The School of ECE offers both undergraduate B.S. degree as well as M.S. and Ph.D. graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. The school enrolls over 1,900 undergraduates (sophomores through seniors) and over 1,300 graduate students. U.S. News & World Report ranks Purdue's Electrical Engineering 9th and Computer Engineering 10th at the Undergraduate level [America's Best Colleges 2023]. The Graduate programs in both Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering are ranked 9th [America's Best Graduate Schools 2023] The online MS program in Electrical Engineering is ranked #1 in the nation (U.S. News & World Report, 2023).

The Purdue University College of Engineering is the engineering school and one of eight major academic divisions of Purdue University, a public research university in West Lafayette, Indiana. Established in 2004, its forerunner began in 1874 with programs in Civil and Mechanical Engineering. The college now offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in more than a dozen disciplines. Purdue's engineering program has also educated 27 of America's astronauts, including Neil Armstrong and Eugene Cernan, who were the first and last astronauts to have walked on the Moon, respectively. Many of Purdue's engineering disciplines are recognized as top-ten programs in the U.S. The college as a whole is currently ranked 4th in the U.S. of all doctorate-granting engineering schools by U.S. News & World Report.

Samara, also known as the John E. Christian House, is a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright located in West Lafayette, Indiana. The home is an example of the Usonian homes that Wright designed. Samara was built from 1954 to 1956 and was still occupied by the original owner, John E. Christian, until he died on July 12, 2015.

Mackey Arena is located in West Lafayette, Indiana. Part of the Purdue University campus, it is home to the university's basketball teams, and occasionally hosts home games for the volleyball and wrestling teams. The arena opened in 1967 as a replacement for Lambert Fieldhouse.
