Marratxí is a municipality in the Raiguer region of Majorca, one of the Balearic Islands of Spain. As of 2005, it has a population of 28,237 and an area of 54 km2. It is also a station on the Majorca rail network. It became a municipality on 9 November 1932.There is no central town in the municipality; instead, it is an agglomeration of the villages of Pont d'Inca (16,518), Pla de na Tesa (3,304), Pòrtol (2,640) and Sa Cabaneta (5,748) - where the district council buildings are located.

Son Bonet Aerodrome (Spanish: Aeródromo de Son Bonet) (ICAO: LESB) was the first civil airfield on Mallorca. Originally built during the 1920s as an alternative to the military airport at Son Sant Joan, the first commercial flight was in 1927 and a flying school established in 1935. The airfield is located in the Marratxí municipality between Pont d'Inca and Pla de Na Tesa, which is in close proximity to Palma (5½ km northeast from the town centre). During the Spanish Civil War it was adapted for both civilian and military purposes. The Italian air force briefly used the airport as one of their bases to launch bomber raids over the mainland. During 1946, Son Bonet was equipped as a customs airport and opened to domestic and international traffic in July. Over the following decade, the airport traffic increased, which facilitated modernisation and improvements to be made. However, the airport could neither accommodate larger aircraft nor could the runway be extended, so these services were transferred to the island's main airport in July 1959. Today it is primarily used for general and leisure aviation, with approximately 75,000 flights per year.

Son Ferriol is a town within the municipal borough of Palma, in Majorca. It is situated 6 km from the centre of Palma, between La Creu Vermella and Son Banya. At the north-eastern edge of the town there is the hamlet of S'Hostalot.

Consell Observatory (Spanish: Observatorio Astronómico de Consell and Catalan: Observatori Astronòmic de Consell; observatory code: 176) is an astronomical observatory owned and operated by the Latin American League of Astronomy. It is located at an altitude of 130 metres (430 ft) in Consell on Majorca island, which is part of Spain.

Bunyola is a municipality of the island of Mallorca, Spain, located in the spurs of the Serra de Tramuntana, at a distance of 9 miles (14 km) from Palma. The municipality has an area of 32.67 square miles (84.6 km2) and a population of 6,636 inhabitants,INE Instituto Nacional Estadística and the Ferrocarril de Sóller passes through it on the way to Palma. (INE 2018). The municipality of Bunyola is located in the Comarca of Serra de Tramuntana, the Tramuntana Range was awarded World Heritage Status by UNESCO as an area of great physical and cultural significance. Bunyola borders with other municipalities of Palma de Mallorca, Marratxí, Santa Maria del Camí, Alaró, Escorca, Sóller, Deià and Valldemossa. Palmayola, Sa Font Seca y Orient are located within the municipality boundaries. Celebration day of the patron saint, San Mateo, is on the 21st of September. The Raixa Estate is located in Bunyola. It is a large Italian style villa surrounded by Pietro Lazzarini-designed gardens, and was used as the filming location for the 1982 film, Evil under the Sun. Once owned by the German designer Jil Sander, it was subsequently purchased by the Island Council of Majorca. It reopened to visitors in late 2018.

In 2020, the airport handled 6.1 million passengers (after 29.7 million in pre COVID-19 conditions in 2019), making it the third busiest airport in Spain, after Madrid–Barajas and Barcelona-El Prat. The airport is the main base for the Spanish carrier Air Europa and also a focus airport for EasyJet, Jet2.com, Ryanair and Vueling. The airport shares runways with the nearby Son Sant Joan Air Force Base, operated by the Spanish Air Force.

Son Costa / Son Fortesa is an underground station of Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca (SFM) and Palma Metro in Palma on the island of Majorca, Spain. The station is located at the northeasterly end of Miguel Fleta Street. Access from the outside is through two separate entrances for each mode of transportation, without any connection inside the station. Each service has an island platform with tracks on each side.
