Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus

Keio Shonan-Fujisawa Junior & Senior High School (慶應義塾湘南藤沢中・高等部, Keiō Gijuku Shōnan Fujisawa Chū Kōtōbu) is located on the Shonan Fujisawa Campus of Keio University in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Since its founding in 1992, the school has been commonly known as Keio SFC, or simply SFC. It is one of the prestigious private secondary schools in the Tokyo area, due to its rich curriculum and environment. The overwhelming majority (99%) of its students advance to Keio University. In 2006, for example, out of 237 students who entered the senior or final year, 232 were admitted to the various campuses of Keio University.

Shōnandai Station (湘南台駅, Shōnandai-eki) is an interchange passenger railway station in located in the city of Fujisawa, Kanagawa, Japan, jointly operated by private railway companies Odakyu Electric Railway and Sagami Railway (Sōtetsu), and the public Yokohama City Transportation Bureau (subway service). It is 15.8 kilometers from the starting point of the Odakyū Enoshima Line at Sagami-Ōno Station and is a terminal station for both the Sagami Railway Izumino Line and the Yokohama Subway Blue Line. The ticket gates of the three lines converge on one wide underground concourse.

Kōza District (高座郡, Kōza-gun) is a district located in central Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It currently consists of only one town, Samukawa. The entire cities of Chigasaki, Fujisawa, Yamato, Ayase, Ebina, Zama; and parts of the city of Sagamihara, were formerly part of Kōza District. Tokyu Kurogane Industries (東急くろがね工業, Tōkyū Kurogane Kōgyō), or Kurogane, was one of the first Japanese automakers. It built vehicles from about 1926 until 1962 when a subsidiary of Nissan, called Nissan Machinery (Nissan Koki Co., Ltd. 日産工機), assumed operations as the company had become a member of the Nissan Group keiretsu. The word kurogane (くろがね or 鉄) is an old term for iron, and one of the kanji used in Mr. Makita's first name. Remnants of the company were called Nissan Machinery (Nissan Koki) until 1985, and operated as a separate entity within Nissan Techno (日産テクノ) until 2006, building and developing all of Nissan's current engines.

Samukawa Shrine (寒川神社, Samukawa jinja) is a Shinto shrine in the Miyayama neighborhood of the town of Samukawa, Kōza District. Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is the ichinomiya of former Sagami Province. The main festival of the shrine is held annually on September 20. This shrine is one of the most famous shrines around Tokyo, where about 2 million people visit each year.
