Rörö

Hyppeln is a Swedish island in the archipelago of Gothenburg, part of Öckerö Municipality. It is about 1.5 kilometres (0.9 mi) long. "Hyppeln" is also the name of the village on the island, which has about 150 permanent residents. There is a shop and a guest harbour on the island.

Hälsö is situated in the northern part of the archipelago and offers nice harbour walks along small and winding roads. There are also ancient remains on the island, mainly stone circles from temporary fishing camps. On the northern part of the island there are good fishing opportunities. Tjolmen beach on the southern part of the island is the most popular for swimming.

Öckerö Municipality (Öckerö kommun) is a municipality in Västra Götaland County in western Sweden. Its seat is located in the town of Öckerö on the main island, which is also called Öckerö. The municipality consists of islands in the Northern Gothenburg Archipelago just outside Gothenburg. With a total area of 26.03 km2 it is one of the smallest municipalities of Sweden. The municipality is one of very few in Sweden which has not been amalgamated and thus still has the same area as the unit formed out of a parish (socken) by the first local government acts of 1862. In the period 1915–1959 there were a number of municipalsamhällen (a sort of boroughs within a rural municipality handling matters of urban character) in the municipality.

Trälen was a reality show on Swedish TV4 and was broadcast in the autumn of 2006. The show, where people from different social classes and parts of Sweden lived together on an island for 40 days, didn't meet the expected success and received low ratings. There were initially twelve participants and every time a bell rang they decided which one of them who was next to leave. The show was filmed on the small island Trälen in the archipelago of Gothenburg. Another season of the show is not planned. Instead a housing development is planned for the area. The winner of Trälen was Serhan Erdal, who won 500,000 SEK (about USD 70,000).

Marstrand (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈmâʂːtrand]) is a seaside locality situated in Kungälv Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 1,320 inhabitants in 2010. The town got its name from its location on the island of Marstrand. Despite its small population, for historical reasons Marstrand is often referred to as a city. The city had free port status, which was declared by King Gustav III, from 1775 to 1794. Religious liberty established by the same sovereign allowed the first Swedish congregation of Jews to be established there in 1775 and Scandinavia's first synagogue to be set up in the fortress in 1780. Making it a notable site to the history of the Jews in Sweden. Following the abolishment of the free port status and the decline of herring fishing, Marstrand established itself as a seaside resort in the 19th century.Important annual sporting events held in Marstrand include the Stena Match Cup Sweden and Marstrand Regatta. Marstrand is known as a playground for celebrities and wealthy Swedish residents alike, who come in the summer for the sea, shopping and the nightlife.

The Marstrand Church (Swedish: Marstrands kyrka) is a church building in Marstrand, Sweden. It belongs to the Marstrand Parish of the Diocese of Gothenburg of the Church of Sweden.

The battle of Marstrand was a successful Dano-Norwegian siege of the harbor town of Marstrand, Sweden which took place between 6–23 July 1677, during the Scanian War.
