Shahma

Kidron (Hebrew: קִדְרוֹן) is a moshav in central Israel. Located in the Shephelah just east of Gedera, and near the Tel Nof Airbase, it falls under the jurisdiction of Brenner Regional Council. In 2019 it had a population of 1,607.

Al-Mukhayzin was a Palestinian Arab village in the Ramle Subdistrict. It was depopulated during the 1947–48 Civil War in Mandatory Palestine on April 20, 1948, by the Givati Brigade of Operation Har'el. It was located 10 km southwest of Ramla.

Nahal Sorek Regional Council (Hebrew: מועצה אזורית נחל שורק, Mo'atza Azorit Nahal Sorek) is a regional council in the Central District of Israel. The seat of the council is Yad Binyamin. The council is named for the Sorek stream.

Beit Elazari (Hebrew: בֵּית אֶלְעָזָרִי, lit. House of Elazari; Arabic: بيت إلعزاري) is a moshav in central Israel. Located three miles south of the city of Rehovot, it falls under the jurisdiction of Brenner Regional Council. In 2019 it had a population of 1,568.

Yeshivat Torat HaChaim is an educational yeshiva network founded by Rabbi Shmuel Tal in 1996, originally situated in the Gush Katif (Gaza Strip) settlement of Neve Dekalim. After the 2005 disengagement from Gaza, Torat HaChaim was re-established in the religious settlement, Yad Binyamin, between Jerusalem and Ashdod. Rav Tal believes in inclusiveness in the student body, with students representing most types of orthodoxy, Haredi and Religious Zionist, and stresses the need to become more involved in every aspect of Israeli society. He encourages his students to serve in the Nahal Haredi or to do standard National Service. Yad Binyamin (Hebrew: יַד בִּנְיָמִין, lit. Binyamin Memorial) is a community settlement in central Israel. The seat of Nahal Sorek Regional Council, it is located adjacent to the junction of three major highways: Highway 3, Highway 6, and Highway 7. In 2021 it had a population of 4,272.

Beit Hilkia (Hebrew: בֵּית חִלְקִיָּה, lit. House of Hilkia) is a Haredi moshav in central Israel. Located in the Shephelah near Gedera, it falls under the jurisdiction of Nahal Sorek Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 1,446.

al-Maghar was a Palestinian Arab village in the Ramle Subdistrict of Mandatory Palestine. It was depopulated by the Givati Brigade during Operation Barak on 18 May 1948. It was located 12 km southwest of Ramla, situated north of Wadi al-Maghar.

Qatra (Arabic: قطرة) was a Palestinian Arab village in the Ramle Subdistrict, located 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) southwest of the city of Ramla and 40 kilometers (25 mi) west of Jerusalem, some 50 meters (160 ft) above sea level. It was depopulated in May 1948.

Hafetz Haim (Hebrew: חָפֵץ חַיִּים, lit. desirous of life) is a religious kibbutz in central Israel. Located in the Shephelah, it falls under the jurisdiction of Nahal Sorek Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 586.

Gedera, or less commonly known as Gdera (Hebrew: גְּדֵרָה), is a town in the southern part of the Shfela region in the Central District of Israel founded in 1884. It is 13 kilometres (8 miles) south of Rehovot. In 2019, it had a population of 28,313.

The Yeshurun Central Synagogue (Hebrew: בית הכנסת המרכזי ישורון) was the first synagogue to be built in Gedera, Israel during the time of the Biluim, forerunners of the kibbutz movement 1882 from the Russian Empire. Before the synagogue was built, the first settlers used a shack as a synagogue. The synagogue was built on the same exact spot. Yeshurun or Jeshurun is a poetic name for Israel (Deut. 32:15;), the Land of Israel (Deut. 33:5;), or the Patriarch Jacob (Genesis 32:29)
