Kjelsås

The Norwegian Telecom Museum (Telemuseet, formerly Norsk Telemuseum) was a Norwegian museum with a collection and several exhibits, including a permanent exhibit at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology. The administration of the Norwegian Telecom Museum was maintained in the Kjelsås neighbourhoods of Oslo. The museum operated nationwide, with exhibitions and collections in several places. The main exhibition of the museum was located in the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology at Kjelsås in Oslo. Other location sites include Stavanger, Jeløy, Kristiansand. Lier, Lærdal, Lødingen, Sørvågen, Tromsø and Trondheim.The museum was mainly funded by the Telenor Group. In April 2017, Telenor announced that it would no longer finance the operation of the museum, which would be closed from January 2018. Applications were made for operating funds from the State, but in the state budget for 2018 no money was set aside for the Telemuseet . The museum was therefore merged with the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology with effect from 1 January 2018.

Kjelsås Station (Norwegian: Kjelås stasjon) is located at Kjelsås in Oslo, Norway on the Gjøvik Line. The railway station is located 10.28 km (6.39 mi) from Oslo Central Station between Nydalen Station and Snippen Station at 155.6 meters (510 ft) above sea level and was opened in 1900, two years before the railway to Gjøvik was finished.The station is served by commuter and regional trains operated by Vy Gjøvikbanen. There is a tram and bus stop at the station. The station is located beside the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology.

The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology (Norwegian: Norsk Teknisk Museum) is located in Oslo, Norway. The museum is an anchor point on the European Route of Industrial Heritage.

Grefsen stadion is a football stadium in the Grefsen area of Oslo. Currently home of Kjelsås Fotball playing in the Norwegian Second Division. The ground has standing areas on three sides, and one seating area with 420 seats. The stadium's record attendance is 3,295 for a Norwegian Premier League qualification match in 1998 against Kongsvinger IL, although there exist reports of a Vålerenga - Skeid encounter in 1944 where around 5000 spectators were in attendance. The stadium is served by a nearby light rail station on the Kjelsås Line; the station is named Grefsen stadion.

Grefsen Church is a long church (Norwegian: langkirke) located in Grefsen, a neighborhood of Oslo, Norway. The church was consecrated by Bishop Eivind Berggrav on March 3, 1940 and it is the parish church of the Grefsen Parish. It is built of brick, has a frescoed ceiling, and can accommodate 600 people. It was designed by the architect Georg Greve. The building has elements of the Norwegian Romanesque style, but has rectangular window openings instead of Romanesque arches. It is sparsely decorated. The stained glass in the chancel was created by Oddmund Kristiansen. Grefsen Church has protected status as a church listed by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage. Magne Elvestrand served as organist at the church from 1940 to 1967.

Disen is a tram stop located on the Oslo Tramway network. Located in Nordre Aker in northern Oslo, the station is part of the Kjelsås Line, that operates between Storo and Kjelsås. Disen also has a balloon loop, for trams to turn around and change direction. However, trams do not regularly terminate at Disen anymore. Disen was opened on the 25th September, 1934. Disen was also closed along with the rest of the Kjelsås Line between 2002 and 2004. Uni-directional SL79 trams serve the tram stop, but occasionally SL95 trams serve Line 12.

Storo Storsenter is a shopping centre at Storo in Oslo, Norway. In 2002, it had a turnover of 1,092 billion kr. It is now under full-scale renovation and expansion, and now has 120 stores, including local and international chains. It also has a number of restaurants, banks and hair dressers. Storo Storsenter is owned by Olav Thon Eiendomsselskap. It is located beside Ring 3 and Storo Station on the Oslo T-bane and Oslo Tramway.

Maridalsvannet (English: Lake Maridal) is a lake in Maridalen, Oslo, Norway. It is the largest lake in the municipality of Oslo, and serves as the main drinking water supply for the city. The lake drains via the river Akerselva to the Oslofjord. The primary inflows are Skjærsjøelva and Dausjøelva. The Hammeren Hydroelectric Power Station exploits the fall from Skjærsjøen to Maridalsvannet. The shores of the lake and substantial areas of woods and fields around it are owned by the city of Oslo to protect the water supply. Some farms are still operated under city supervision, but others were closed down in the mid 20th century; their remains are marked by historical signs. Hiking, cycling, and cross-country ski trails run near the south side of the lake and connect to the large system of trails in the forests that surround Oslo. They can be reached by a short walk from the Kjelsås trolley, bus, or train stations. Trails run alongside Akerselva from the Marridalsvannet dam almost all the way to Oslofjord. The Gjøvik Line runs along the same shore.

Nydalen station (Norwegian: Nydalen holdeplass) is a railway station on the Gjøvik Line in Oslo, Norway. The station was built opened in 1946, and is located between Grefsen and Kjelsås. Like most of the local Oslo stations on the Gjøvik Line, Nydalen is a small station. It is unmanned, has only a single wooden platform, and is served only by commuter trains. Close by, but not in connection, is a subway station with the same name, Nydalen. The station is located in Nordre Aker borough. The area around the stations is largely industrial, though the area (Nydalen) is gradually being changed into a more residential-industrial mix. Close by is BI Norwegian Business School campus. On December 23, 2009, the station was reopened following upgrades to the station infrastructure.

Grefsenåsen is a hill in Lillomarka in Oslo, Norway. The height is 377 meter. The view from the top is magnificent, and the hill has for a long time been a popular resort for day-trippers living in Oslo. A restaurant was built on the top in 1927, and this is still in use.

Nordre Aker (Northern Aker) is a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway.

Storo is a neighborhood in the boroughs of Sagene and Nordre Aker in Oslo, Norway. It is located east of Nydalen, south-west of Grefsen and north of Sandaker. In addition to block housing, it hosts the Storo Storsenter shopping center. There are also many car dealerships in the area. The Ring 3 trunk road runs through Storo, and the area is served by Storo station on the Oslo T-bane and Oslo Tramway.
