Maridalsvannet

Maridalen is a valley situated just north of Oslo, Norway, just above the suburb of Kjelsås. Considering that Maridalen is within the Oslo city limits, Maridalen has a very low population density. The valley consists of forests, lakes and agricultural land. Most of the valley is made up of the lake Maridalsvannet, which serves as the primary source of drinking water for 90% of Oslo's population. The only hydroelectric powerplant within the City of Oslo, Hammeren Hydroelectric Power Station is located at Brekke in Maridalen. The valley is a popular recreational area with many hiking trails and cycling tracks for summer usage, and groomed cross-country trails in winter. Both the lake and valley are protected. Maridalen Church and the church ruins of the ancient St. Margaret's Church are located north of Maridalsvannet. A bus route runs along Maridalen, starting at Nydalen Subway Station.

The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology (Norwegian: Norsk Teknisk Museum) is located in Oslo, Norway. The museum is an anchor point on the European Route of Industrial Heritage.

Kjelsås Station (Norwegian: Kjelås stasjon) is located at Kjelsås in Oslo, Norway on the Gjøvik Line. The railway station is located 10.28 km (6.39 mi) from Oslo Central Station between Nydalen Station and Snippen Station at 155.6 meters (510 ft) above sea level and was opened in 1900, two years before the railway to Gjøvik was finished.The station is served by commuter and regional trains operated by Vy Gjøvikbanen. There is a tram and bus stop at the station. The station is located beside the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology.

The Norwegian Telecom Museum (Telemuseet, formerly Norsk Telemuseum) was a Norwegian museum with a collection and several exhibits, including a permanent exhibit at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology. The administration of the Norwegian Telecom Museum was maintained in the Kjelsås neighbourhoods of Oslo. The museum operated nationwide, with exhibitions and collections in several places. The main exhibition of the museum was located in the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology at Kjelsås in Oslo. Other location sites include Stavanger, Jeløy, Kristiansand. Lier, Lærdal, Lødingen, Sørvågen, Tromsø and Trondheim.The museum was mainly funded by the Telenor Group. In April 2017, Telenor announced that it would no longer finance the operation of the museum, which would be closed from January 2018. Applications were made for operating funds from the State, but in the state budget for 2018 no money was set aside for the Telemuseet . The museum was therefore merged with the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology with effect from 1 January 2018.

Kjelsås, sometimes called Kjelsaas, is one of the northern neighbourhoods of Oslo situated in Nordre Aker, the northern borough of Oslo, Norway.

Maridalen Church is a wooden church in Maridalen at the northern outskirts of Oslo, Norway, next to Nordmarka. The church was originally built as a mission house (Bedehus) in at the northern shore of the lake Maridalsvannet in 1887. It was taken over by the Church of Norway and consecrated first as a chapel in the year 1900, later renamed a church.Maridalen Church is located not far from the ancient church ruins of the medieval church St Margaret's Church.Maridalen Church has about 140 seats. The altarpiece is depicting Jesus in Gethsemane. The small bell tower has one church bell from 1898.Maridalen Church is listed by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage.

St. Margaret's Church (Norwegian: Margaretakirken) was a medieval stone church located on the outskirts of Oslo, Norway.The church was built in the 13th century, and is now a ruin. The church is named after Margaret of Antioch. It was located in Maridalen, close to the northern end of lake Maridalsvannet. Architect and archaeologist Gerhard Fischer led the restoration in 1934. Today it is the best preserved medieval building in Oslo next to the Old Aker Church.

Grefsen stadion is a football stadium in the Grefsen area of Oslo. Currently home of Kjelsås Fotball playing in the Norwegian Second Division. The ground has standing areas on three sides, and one seating area with 420 seats. The stadium's record attendance is 3,295 for a Norwegian Premier League qualification match in 1998 against Kongsvinger IL, although there exist reports of a Vålerenga - Skeid encounter in 1944 where around 5000 spectators were in attendance. The stadium is served by a nearby light rail station on the Kjelsås Line; the station is named Grefsen stadion.

Grefsen Church is a long church (Norwegian: langkirke) located in Grefsen, a neighborhood of Oslo, Norway. The church was consecrated by Bishop Eivind Berggrav on March 3, 1940 and it is the parish church of the Grefsen Parish. It is built of brick, has a frescoed ceiling, and can accommodate 600 people. It was designed by the architect Georg Greve. The building has elements of the Norwegian Romanesque style, but has rectangular window openings instead of Romanesque arches. It is sparsely decorated. The stained glass in the chancel was created by Oddmund Kristiansen. Grefsen Church has protected status as a church listed by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage. Magne Elvestrand served as organist at the church from 1940 to 1967.

Solemskogen is a village to the north of Oslo, Viken, Norway.

Grefsenåsen is a hill in Lillomarka in Oslo, Norway. The height is 377 meter. The view from the top is magnificent, and the hill has for a long time been a popular resort for day-trippers living in Oslo. A restaurant was built on the top in 1927, and this is still in use.
