Grefsenåsen

Bjerkebanen, often simply called Bjerke, is a neighborhood in the Økern district of the Bjerke borough in northeastern Oslo, Norway. It lies in the Grorud Valley. The area is dominated by the Bjerke Race Track, a harness racing track (established in 1928), with its stadium building, stable building, and a large parking lot. The area is bordered by the Refstad neighborhood to the west and Brobekk to the east, and by Risløkka and Vollebekk to the south. The north side is bounded by Norwegian National Road 4 and Trondheimsveien (Trondheim Street), separating the area from the Årvoll neighborhood. Bjerkebanen mostly consists of residential buildings detached houses, townhouses, and small apartment buildings. Refstadveien (Refstad Street) and Økernveien (Økern Street) are the two largest streets in the area.

Tonsen Church (Norwegian: Tonsen kirke) is a church in Oslo, Norway which was built in 1961. It is located at Årvoll in the borough of Bjerke. The church was constructed by the architects Georg Greve (architect) and Geir Grung.In the porch vestibule at the foot of the bell tower is a stained glass window, created by Bernhard Greve. It shows Jesus standing above a cross. The church bells are cast by Olsen Nauen Bell Foundry. An altar crucifix is modeled by Ståle Kyllingstad. On the back wall is a fresco illustrating the Sermon on the Mount which was conducted by Kåre Jonsborg in 1963. The pulpit and altar call is cast in cement, and the font is in teak, all created in 1961.The church hall has 400 seats and there are 200 seats in the adjacent hall. The church office is located in the basement, which also houses scouts.The church is listed by the Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage.

Kjelsås, sometimes called Kjelsaas, is one of the northern neighbourhoods of Oslo situated in Nordre Aker, the northern borough of Oslo, Norway.

Disen is a neighborhood divided between the boroughs of Bjerke and Nordre Aker in Oslo, Norway. Disen was originally a manor south of Grefsenåsen. The name stems from dís in Norse mythology.Disen farm was parceled out as a residential area from 1918, with a major surge in building construction form the 1950s.

Disen is a tram stop located on the Oslo Tramway network. Located in Nordre Aker in northern Oslo, the station is part of the Kjelsås Line, that operates between Storo and Kjelsås. Disen also has a balloon loop, for trams to turn around and change direction. However, trams do not regularly terminate at Disen anymore. Disen was opened on the 25th September, 1934. Disen was also closed along with the rest of the Kjelsås Line between 2002 and 2004. Uni-directional SL79 trams serve the tram stop, but occasionally SL95 trams serve Line 12.

Bjerke Travbane (English: Bjerke Race Track) is a harness racing track located in the Bjerkebanen neighborhood of the Bjerke borough in Oslo, Norway. The course is 1,000 meters (3,300 ft). Owned by Norwegian Trotting Association, its tote betting is handled by Norsk Rikstoto. The venue opened in 1928 and is the busiest harness racetrack in Norway, with 115 racedays in 2012.

Oslo University Hospital, Aker (also known as Aker Hospital or just Aker) is one of the four main campuses of Oslo University Hospital. It was an independent hospital from 1895 to 2009, under the name Aker Hospital and from 2002 Aker University Hospital. Originally established as the municipal hospital of Aker, the hospital became a university hospital affiliated with the University of Oslo in 1948.

Bjerke is a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway. The most densely populated residential areas, including the high-rise apartment blocks of Linderud, are located along Trondheimsveien (Norwegian National Road 4). The shopping centre at Linderud is also home to the borough council's administrative headquarters. The northern areas of the borough are bordered by the vast woodlands of Oslomarka. Bjerke Upper Secondary School is located here.

The Norwegian Telecom Museum (Telemuseet, formerly Norsk Telemuseum) was a Norwegian museum with a collection and several exhibits, including a permanent exhibit at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology. The administration of the Norwegian Telecom Museum was maintained in the Kjelsås neighbourhoods of Oslo. The museum operated nationwide, with exhibitions and collections in several places. The main exhibition of the museum was located in the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology at Kjelsås in Oslo. Other location sites include Stavanger, Jeløy, Kristiansand. Lier, Lærdal, Lødingen, Sørvågen, Tromsø and Trondheim.The museum was mainly funded by the Telenor Group. In April 2017, Telenor announced that it would no longer finance the operation of the museum, which would be closed from January 2018. Applications were made for operating funds from the State, but in the state budget for 2018 no money was set aside for the Telemuseet . The museum was therefore merged with the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology with effect from 1 January 2018.

Kjelsås Station (Norwegian: Kjelås stasjon) is located at Kjelsås in Oslo, Norway on the Gjøvik Line. The railway station is located 10.28 km (6.39 mi) from Oslo Central Station between Nydalen Station and Snippen Station at 155.6 meters (510 ft) above sea level and was opened in 1900, two years before the railway to Gjøvik was finished.The station is served by commuter and regional trains operated by Vy Gjøvikbanen. There is a tram and bus stop at the station. The station is located beside the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology.

The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology (Norwegian: Norsk Teknisk Museum) is located in Oslo, Norway. The museum is an anchor point on the European Route of Industrial Heritage.
