Alapakkam

Valasaravakkam is a neighbourhood in the Chennai district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu and a residential suburb of the city of Chennai. It is located in the Poonamallee Taluk at a distance of approximately 15 kilometres from the Kilometer Zero stone. Valasaravakkam lies on the Arcot Road, one of Chennai's arterial roads. It is under the Maduravoyal election constituency. In October, 2011 Valasaravakkam Municipality ceased to exist and the area became part of Chennai Corporation as Ward Nos 149 and 152 (Zone XI), Southern Region, Corporation of Chennai. As of 2011, the town had a population of 47,378. Famous Sivan temple is in Kesavardhini.

Vanagaram, which is pronounced as Vaanagaram, is a residential neighborhood in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in India. It is in North-East of Chennai and the fastest developing parts of the city. It has always been a smart and affluent residential suburb, but more recently Vanagaram has become a busy commercial and educational center as well. (In Tamil language), 'Vaan' means 'sky' and 'agaram' means 'the place of God for worshipping/residence'.

This metro station will be among the 30 elevated stations of Corridor IV and 12 underground stations along Corridor IV of the Chennai Metro, Poonamallee Bypass–Lighthouse stretch. This station is slated to be commercialized on December 2025.

Virugambakkam is a residential neighbourhood of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is an important residential area of and is famous for its schools, market, residential colonies and residences of film artists. Virugambakkam had some of Chennai's oldest film studios. Virugambakkam is one of the important localities of Chennai and owes its growth to the expansion of the city in the post-independence period. Prior to the establishment of residential colonies, Virugambakkam was a village covered by paddy fields, mango orchards and casuarina trees. Virugambakkam was first included within the Chennai city limits in 1977 along with other villages like Saligramam. Virugambakkam is well-connected with the heart of Chennai city through roads. Buses running through Arcot Road link Virugambakkam with the more inner suburbs of Chennai city.

Virugampakkam is a legislative assembly constituency in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Its State Assembly Constituency number is 22. It comprises a part of Chennai and falls under Chennai South Lok Sabha constituency for national elections to the Parliament of India. The constituency was created following delimitation of constituencies in 2007. It is one of the 234 State Legislative Assembly Constituencies in Tamil Nadu.

Maduravoyal is a residential neighbourhood located in the west of Chennai, India. As of 2011, the town had a population of 86,195. Maduravoyal also has a name as "ettam kal" (8th mile), so it could be famous in British Period too, it is exactly 12.87 kilometres (8.00 mi) from Chennai Harbour, and Maduravoyal located 3 km from the west of Koyambedu area which is a major hub of activity in Chennai City. Maduravoyal became a part of Greater Chennai Corporation in 2009 city expansion order passed by the state government. Nearby areas include Nerkundram, Mogappair, Vanagaram, Valasaravakkam, Alapakkam and Porur. The second phase of Chennai Bypass cuts through Maduravoyal to reach the northern borders of Chennai. Maduravoyal noticed a rapid developed and sudden increase in property prices ever since the Maduravoyal Junction with the cloverleaf interchange (flyover) became operational.In January 2009, the then Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh laid the foundation stone for the Chennai Port – Maduravoyal Expressway, a 19-kilometre-long (12 mi) elevated express-way project by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

Makkah Mosque is a mosque in the city of Chennai, India. The dargah of Syed Musa Sha Khaderi is located near the masjid. The masjid is located on Anna Salai. The five-storeyed mosque is one of the largest in India and can house 5,000 worshippers at a time.

Maduravoyal taluk is a taluk of the city district of Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The centre of the taluk is the neighbourhood of Maduravoyal. The headquarters of the taluk is Ambattur division. On 4 January 2018, Chennai district was expanded by annexing Maduravoyal taluk.
