The Gran Enciclopèdia Catalana (in English: the Great Catalan Encyclopedia) is a Catalan-language encyclopedia, started in fascicles, and published in 1968 by Edicions 62. The soul of the work was written by Max Cahner, and the first director was Jordi Carbonell. From the second volume the work had its own publisher: Enciclopedia Catalana SA with Jordi Pujol, and the new director was Joan Carreras i Martí.

Diagonal Mar i el Front Marítim del Poblenou is a neighborhood in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The area between the seafront, Sant Adrià de Besòs and the Besòs river was previously made up of slums and poor areas surrounding the neighbourhoods of La Mina, El Maresme and Poblenou. Under the new name Diagonal Mar, in reference to its proximity to the sea and Avinguda Diagonal, renovation started taking place in the late 1990s. Still ongoing, this has been one of the most ambitions urban regeneration schemes, and also one of the most controversial and a perceived departure from Barcelona's well-established urban model. The real estate company Hines was in charge of most relevant decisions about urbanism in the area, although it was ESPAIS Promocions Immobiliaries, a local real estate developer, who developed the majority of the residential towers, including Illa de la Llum, Illa del Bosc, Illa del Cell and Illa del Mar. This has been criticised by renowned local architects such as Oriol Bohigas, Juli Capellas or Josep Maria Montaner or urbanism scholar Llàtzer Moix. Most renovation in the area was ready in time for the 2004 Cultural Forum, which took place in the International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB). It includes Catalunya's largest shopping center Centre Comercial Diagonal Mar, as well as Parc de Diagonal Mar, designed by Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue.

Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona is a skyscraper and hotel in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Completed in 2004, has 25 floors and rises 85 metres. It is part of Hilton Hotels. Lies on Passeig del Taulat street 262–264. In the beginning of 2019, the hotel completed an extensive renovation program.

El Maresme | Fòrum is a Barcelona Metro station located between Carrer del Maresme and Rambla de Prim, near the Forum site, in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona, Spain. It's served by L4 (yellow line), as well as providing a connection with the Trambesòs route T4. It was opened in 2003, even though the section of the tunnel where the station is located has been in use since 1982.

The Pavelló de la Mar Bella is an indoor arena located in Barcelona, Catalonia. Seating 4000, it hosted the badminton events for 1992 Summer Olympics. This venue was completed in time for the 1992 Games.

Poblenou is a Barcelona Metro station in Poblenou, a formerly industrial area of Barcelona's Sant Martí district. The location of the station is in the intersections of Carrer de Pujades with carrer de Bilbao and carrer de Lope de Vega. It's served by L4 (yellow line). It was opened in 1977 along with the lines from Barceloneta to Selva de Mar. The platforms are 93m long.

Its seat is located in Barcelona, Spain, and it has offices in Saint-Paul-lès-Durance, France, and Garching, Germany. One of its main tasks is to work together with European industry and research organisations to develop and provide a wide range of high technology components for the ITER project.

The Hotel Meliá Barcelona Sky is a skyscraper designed by Dominique Perrault located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The building is 116 metres (381 ft) tall and has 31 floors and 258 rooms. It is the fourth-tallest building in Barcelona after Torre Mapfre, Hotel Arts, and Torre Agbar.The building is located at the junction of Avinguda Diagonal and carrer de Pere IV, in the district of el Poblenou. The hotel was conquered by Alain Robert on June 13, 2017 and it took him Twenty minutes. His stunt was repeated by Marcin Banot on August 2, 2018 and it took him 59 minutes.

Besòs Mar is a station in the Barcelona Metro, in La Mina, an area of the Sant Martí district of Barcelona. It's served by L4. It was opened in 1982 as La Mina, but it was controversially renamed with the construction of the Barcelona Fòrum and revamping of the adjacent area into Besòs Mar, alluding to the proximity to the Mediterranean Sea and to the Besòs river in order to diminish the reference to the neighbourhood's name which had become infamous. It's located underneath carrer d'Alfons el Magnànim between carrer de Lluís Borrassà and carrer de Ferrer Bassa.

El Poblenou (Catalan pronunciation: [əl ˌpɔbːləˈnɔw]; Catalan for '"new village"') is an extensive neighborhood of Barcelona (Sant Martí district) that borders the Mediterranean Sea to the south, Sant Adrià del Besòs to the east, Parc de la Ciutadella in Ciutat Vella to the west, and Sant Andreu to the north. In the past the neighborhood was a town entirely separated from Barcelona.
