Double Union is a San Francisco hacker/maker space. Double Union was founded by women in 2013 with the explicit goal of fostering a creative safe space. The organization’s mission is to be a community workshop where women and nonbinary people can work on projects in a comfortable, welcoming environment.Members hold public and members-only events for activities and workshops like zine making, paper circuits and electronics, coding, sewing, 3-dimensional printing, lightning talks, print making and many others. Key carrying members are allowed to invite guests of any gender.

Jenkins Johnson Gallery is a contemporary art gallery owned and directed by Karen Jenkins-Johnson. The gallery exhibits a spectrum of influential artists from emerging to established. There are 2 gallery spaces: one in San Francisco and a project space in Brooklyn.

Minnesota Street Project (MSP), is a dual for-profit/foundation model art space founded in 2016 in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, California; and features 13 art galleries, an event space, and a restaurant.

Anglim Trimble Gallery, formerly Gallery Paule Anglim, and Anglim Gilbert Gallery, is a contemporary commercial art gallery which is located at Minnesota Street Project, 1275 Minnesota Street, San Francisco, California The gallery was founded by Paule Anglim (1923 –2015) in the early 1970s. The gallery specializes in exhibiting works from West Coast art movements. Following Anglim's passing in the spring of 2015, the gallery was re-opened under the lead of her long-term director, Ed Gilbert, and renamed Anglim Gilbert Gallery. After the death of Gilbert in 2020, it was subsequently renamed Anglim Trimble Gallery under the directorship of Shannon Trimble. The gallery has been located at the Minnesota Street Project since spring of 2016.

22nd Street station is a Caltrain commuter rail station located south of 22nd Street between the Dogpatch and Potrero Hill neighborhoods of San Francisco, California beneath the Interstate 280 freeway viaduct. The only below-grade Caltrain station, it is bracketed on the north and south by two tunnels which take the line under the eastern slope of Potrero Hill. The station is reached only by stairways from 22nd Street and Iowa Street – there are no ramps or elevators between the platforms and street level – and is thus not accessible. The narrow stairways create bottlenecks, especially when northbound trains arrive. A December 2021 study recommended the installation of ramps as an interim accessibility measure pending future reconstruction or relocation.The station opened when the Southern Pacific Railroad built the Bayshore Cutoff in 1907. The station was originally known as 23rd Street. The former wooden stairways were replaced with metal stairs in 2007.The station is also served by Muni routes 15, 48 and 55. The T Third Street’s 23rd Street station is located about 0.4 miles (0.64 km) away from this station, offering an indirect connection.Under the Pennsylvania Avenue alternative of the Downtown Rail Extension project, Caltrain tracks would be placed in a new tunnel north of 22nd Street. The existing station would be replaced by a new station, either at the existing site, or potentially north at Mariposa Street or south at Cesar Chavez Street.

Potrero Hill is a residential neighborhood in San Francisco, California. It is known for its views of the San Francisco Bay and city skyline, its proximity to many destination spots, its sunny weather, and having two freeways and a Caltrain station. A working-class neighborhood until gentrification in the late 1990s, it is now home to mostly upper-income residents.

Rancho Potrero de San Francisco or Rancho Potrero Nuevo was approximately 1,000-acre (4.0 km2) Mexican land grant in the present day Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The rancho included the land from the bay at Point San Quentin, (later called Potrero Point) between Mission Creek to the north and Islais Creek and its tributary Precita Creek to the south, including Potrero Hill and land sloping down to the west of it to its boundary with Rancho Rincon de las Salinas y Potrero Viejo between Mission and Precita Creeks.

Marin Street station (also signed as Islais Creek) is a light rail station on the Muni Metro T Third Street line, located in the median of 3rd Street one block south of Cesar Chavez Street in the Bayview neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The station opened with the T Third Street line on April 7, 2007. It has two side platforms; the northbound platform is south of South Street, and the southbound platform north of Marin Street. The station is also served by bus route 15 plus the T Bus and 91 Owl bus routes, which provide service along the T Third Street line during the early morning and late night hours respectively when trains do not operate.

Savernack Street Gallery (2013–2016) was a small art gallery in the Mission District of San Francisco; founded in 2013 by artist Carrie Sinclair Katz. The gallery interior was inaccessible and visitors can only view artwork by looking through a reverse peephole located on the storefront. The monthly exhibitions at Savernack Street usually featured a single piece of artwork that appears larger or life size when viewed through the peephole. The name Savernack comes from a road in London, and is not an actual street in San Francisco.

Cyclone Warehouse was a venue for Underground art located in the Butcher Town area of San Francisco, California, between Potrero Hill and Hunter's Point. It was known for hosting eclectic events, and formerly served as headquarters to a loose collective of artists and artisans. The space was founded in 1992 by Troy Shelton, Nicolas Desbons, Todd Martinez, Dan Hersey, Mark Reitman, Jason Price and Geordie Stevens, a group of students from CCAC and SFSU. They built the space primarily from found materials.

The Farm, (founded 1974) also known as Crossroads Community,: 43  was an environmental art and performance art project that also operated as a community center. The Farm was located at the corner of Army Street (later renamed Cesar Chavez Street) and Potrero Avenue in San Francisco, California, from 1974 to 1987. It was founded by Bonnie Ora Sherk and Jack Wickert in 1974.: 43  The open space incorporated a major freeway interchange and is now site of Potrero del Sol Park (formally La Raza Park).Sherk referred to the thirteen year-long project as an "environmental sculpture" where edible crops were grown, livestock were raised and educational programming took place. Sherk spoke of the project: "We're attempting to reconnect people and humanize environments" and that the "growth process in life is like the creative process in art."
