The Battle of Mokra took place on 1 September 1939 near the village of Mokra, 5 km north of Kłobuck and 23 km north-west of Częstochowa, Poland. It was one of the first battles of the Invasion of Poland, during the Second World War, and was one of the few Polish victories of that campaign and the first German defeat of the conflict.

It lies approximately 7 km (4 mi) north-east of Kłobuck and 80 km (50 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice. From the 19th century until World War II, a Jewish community lived in Miedźno (about 90 in 1880, and 124 in 1921). After seizing the village in September 1939, the Germans sent 12 Jews from Miedźno to the Buchenwald concentration camp, and on June 22, 1942, all the others were deported to Kuźniczka near Krzepice and to the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp.

Łobodno [wɔˈbɔdnɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kłobuck, within Kłobuck County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 4 km (2 mi) east of Kłobuck and 74 km (46 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice.
